I’d thought my love for romance novels would have died with my parents’ divorce. Instead, it made me crave them more. I was going through two books a week. I could not get enough. It was like, if love couldn’t exist in reality, at least it was alive in fiction. Between the pages it was safe. The heartbreak was contained. There was no aftermath, no shock waves. I mean, there’s a reason all books end right after the couple gets together. No one wants to keep reading long enough to see the happily ever after turn into an unhappily ever after. Right?

E/riels demise was foreshadowed in ACOFAS.

“She gave it back," I amended, failing to block out the image of the black blade piercing through the King of Hybern’s throat. But Elain had given it back - had pressed it into Azriel's hands after the battle, just as he had pressed it into hers before. And then walked away without looking back.

To me, Truth-Teller kind of symbolizes Az's heart. He offered it to Elain, who took it before realizing how dark it was and when she realized it, she got scared and gave it back. Then she walked away from Az and didn't look back.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was also foreshadowing Gwynriel, with Az giving Gwyn his drawer full of daggers so she can sleep at night feeling protected.

And Elain walking away from Az, straight into Lucien's arms.

fear can be a funny thing. it takes over your mind forcing you to make decisions you normally would not make if fear was not there,if the fear of the consequences of your actions IF things go wrong. at the same time it could lead you to making the right decisions protecting yourself from pain or harm , so my question is how do you know what to fear and what not to fear, how do you control that feeling how do you move forward .

I have no clue but here is what I do have, I have determination I have a strong will power and I refuse to hit rock bottom so from now on I will do what I think is good for me , my health and the people around me.
