You are the ocean, A turning tide, A storm with skin, Hurricanes rage in you. You are beautiful, Calm waters, Still seas, And a thousand shades of blue. I am the moon, A lonely observer, Cold and silent, Pinned to the night sky. Surrounded by stars, I long for the earth, I dream of your depths, You are beauty personified. You and me, The moon and sea. Each longing for the other, We reach for each other, So far apart, But close at heart. I reach for you, I pull the tide; You reach for me, Unsatisfied. Me and you, Ocean and moon.
