riding the storm ravaged waves(in the calming dark of night)
riding the storm ravaged waves(in the calming dark of night)
of
your jet-black trestles, so curled
were the fingers that bled through
my shirt
as you twisted at the cords of maroon
keeping my heart in my chest
we could have been much
more, had you not poisoned
my wine with your sweet nectar, cursing my name
with your perfect lips
that I couldn’t
have
they called me(tentatively first then
assuredly) crazy, for loving you after
what you had done( leaving me thirsting
for blood)
I could not have let go (you only kicked me)
faster than I did, and for it I
only fell faster off
the edge, and into the stormy waves
in the silence of the night
as clear as the day you left.
