I am such a light weight these days!
Time To Get Started, Again
It’s been 2 years since I quit training competitively in TaeKwonDo and Crossfit. I have been drinking way to much and eating too much shit. I have put on 40 pounds and don’t feel as good as I used to.
This Morning
Walked 2 miles
Squats 5x5 @ 150
Bench 5x5 @ 115
Barbell Row 5x5 @ 115
This evening
1 hour TaeKwonDo training
Time to get ready for my 4th Degree testing.
Time to get started again.

Lifting Again
Couple of months ago on vacation hurt my ankle on the surf. Hurt my knees doing the burpee challenge in may. Slowly starting again. Squat 170 5x5 OHP 105 5x5 Deadlift 175x1 Instead of bent over rows I am doing seated cable rows. I think it is easier to hit the right spot that way. I think I am going to build a plyo box for the garage for jumps. There was a woman in church today that had an amazing back and shoulders. Even my wife noticed. Wanted to chase her down to find out what she did. I have to slow down on the martini and sweets. I will not achieve my goals this way.

P-51 Mustang.
For some reason I have wanted to fly again for the last month. I cannot get the image of a P51 slicing through a clear blue sky, with me at the controls of course, out of my head.
I can feel the vibration of the airframe, hear the engine scream as I roll from altitude. And the feeling of speed, oh god, the feeling of speed. Where does this come from?

I want to feel alive again. Not smothered by the machine. Not going through the motions. Just spontaneously smile and be happy. Not constantly reffing the kids and their petty fights. I want to not worry every frickin' day if the lay offs are today. I feel that I have been so beat down for so long. This was not what I aspired to be.
