Hii same mod and everything from that blog! All Bartender AU asks will be no longer answered on my main Dark Cacao Blog and only on this one. We're gonna have a lot of funs, shenanigans and a LOTTA lore :D

Ok I have a lot of standard Rules as seen on my other blogs, but also I want you guys to know this blog is more heavy on the be 16 or above to interact mainly because it isn't light mentions of alcohol anymore. Character CAN and WILL be drinking on this blog!

Pure Vanilla leans against the counter of his apartment kitchen, thumbing through a box filled to the brim with hand-written. He's looking for something quick and autumn-esc, that everyone would enjoy.

Ah, this looks good, what do you think?

He pulls out a card with a recipe for pumpkin bread and hands it over to Dark Cacao to get the other's input.

Cacao blinks, hair tied back with a pumpkin hair tie and a little flower crown made of orange and yellow leaves on his head. He looks at the other with wide eyes. Like a cat before looking at the recipe with a hum.

“I think it looks good. Sounds fun to make too. I am alright with anything you suggest, my dear.”

Pure Vanilla chuckles and sets aside the other recipe cards

Well then, pumpkin bread it is. Hang on one moment, I'll grab some aprons for both of us.

Out of a kitchen drawer, Pure Vanilla pulls out two aprons. One brown and pink with decorative patches and one was white with a blue plaid pattern; there was a bow right at the waist.

His gaze follows the other. Stop looking at me with those big ol eyes/ref. He smiles softly for a moment, before face going neutral again. He carefully takes the brown apron, head tilted before putting it on. A little nod.

Gosh his boyfriend was so pretty,,,

Pure Vanilla puts on the blue apron in turn. He softly nudges his shoulder against Cacao.

That looks pretty cute on you. Though, most things do.

Less a statement about the apron and more about the person wearing it. Cacao’s just cute

Vanilla then gets to work retrieving all of the ingredients and equipment. This is probably not something Dark Cacao can help out with too much. Given its Pure Vanilla’s kitchen so he knows where everything is while Cacao wouldn’t

Eyes wide like cat. He chitters softly, cheeks flushing at the compliment. He shifts slightly in place, never good at receiving compliments.

“Mm.. t-thank you my dear. You are quite dashing as well.”

He can feel the heat crawling up his neck. Just watching the other fondly.

Pure Vanilla smiles to himself. It really was sweet seeing Dark Cacao stumble over himself because of a simple compliment. He makes a mental note to fluster Cacao more often…

…though that is a thought for another day! Pure Vanilla retrieves all of the equipment and ingredients and placed them on the counter. The wet and dry ingredients have been organized into their own separate groups.

How about you get started with the dry ingredients and I’ll mix up the wet ones?

He smiles a little, before taking a bowl, trying to follow the instructions and measurements to the best of his abilities. Mixing them together. He hums a little to himself as he does. This was nice. Him and his boyfriend baking together.

Silent Salt pours the whiskey shot into the wine glass and swirls it around a bit. Slowly he starts working his way through the strange combination. Somehow, he manages to take a sip only when everyone's back is turned, so not a glimpse of his face is seen.

He didn’t blame Choco. Really how could he. His father was a workaholic. Dark Cacao was face down on the countertop as Choco was making something he couldn’t remember for dinner. Sushi? He thinks. Either way he wasn’t really all there. Still wiped out from the last shift at Cheese’s nightclub.

Dark Choco was humming along to some random tune in his head as he prepared dinner.

Having offered to do it instead so his father could take the break he needed. He genuinely didn't mind helping. He would do it most nights anyway, so doing it all himself wasn't too hard to manage.

Though, soon enough, dinner was done, and Dark Choco turns to his father.

"Dad, it is ready. Come get something to eat."

Cacao looks up at the other, straightening up slightly. Blinking blearily before rubbing his face and yawning.

“Alright, thank you, starlight. Again I am really sorry I.. last night’s shift and almost making you late for school-“

Sir. It is not the end of the world.

"It is alright, Dad. Don't worry about it."

He really didn't mind, if anything he was more concerned for his father's wellbeing over almost missing some of his day at school. He could have always caught up later.

"Just get something to eat, hopefully it is good - I am not as good as a cook like you are."

“If you are sure..” He’s gonna worry about it. But he does relent. Mouth twitching.

“I am sure it will be wonderful. Do not stress too hard about it, Choco.”

Famous last words, hm? Either way he does. Accept the food he is given. Brows furrowed. Hm. Can’t exactly remember when he bought salmon. He shrugs and just. Nom.

Dark Choco watches for a few moments to gauge Dark Cacao's reaction to the food, and once he was satisfied with it not being spat out immediately afterwards he went about cleaning up some of his mess from cooking.

"is it good?" he asks a few moments.

Cacao’s brows furrow slightly. It’s not. Terrible just. Off. He doesn’t spit, but does swallow.

“I.. it is.. alright.”

It’s edible. No it’s not. So he’ll eat it because his son made it. He eats a few more pieces before just. Stopping. Brows furrowed.

“Choco… did you happen to see the date on that salmon?”

Uh oh. That tone wasn't that good. He falters a little bit and the smile he had falls as the questions are thrown his way.

"Well.. I.."

Shit. He didn't. He goes to the trash where the packaging for the meat was and fished it back out to check the date and...

"oh...."

He tilts his head.

“Hey- Starlight it is alright. You did not know. I am not upset.”

Trying to be reassuring. Really. He can’t be mad at the other. Choco meant no harm.

“How bad is it though?”

Literally like 3 months. 3 months bad.

He mutters, dropping the packaging back into the trash and turning back to his father, but not making eye contact. He felt. Really bad - now starting to worry about his father. Oh witches if he got really sick this would be his fault- what if he had to take Dark Cacao to the hospital???

He was getting into his own head now. Kind of barely hearing his father speak.

Dark Cacao swiftly walks over, setting both hands onto the other’s shoulders.

“Starlight.”

He shakes him gently.

“Dark Choco. It will be alright. It was an accident, I know you meant no harm. I will be fine, I promise.” He hopes.

He pulls the other closer. Hugging him gently.

Dark Choco blinks a little as he's hugged, holding onto his father and taking a deep breath to attempt to keep himself calm.

"what if you get really sick?-"

Ah, like father like son, worrying about anything and everything.

"I should have checked before I started cooking- I am sorry-"

That. Was a possibility. He wasn’t sure what would happen. Maybe he would have to go to the hospital. Who knows. He gently pets the other, trying to reassure him.

“Shhh,,, shhh,, it will be ok. I am not upset. Things happen. It will be ok. Worst case scenario is I get a little food poisoning. But it will not be the end of the world. All we can do is move forward from this and learn from it.”

He still doesn't like the odds.. that salmon was REALLY out of date, he didn't like the chances or even just. the idea of a 'little food poisoning'. He didn't want to jinx it though.. maybe his father was right.

Until it’s not. He’s curled up on the floor of the bathroom, sobbing weakly. There’s like nothing left in his stomach but acid but he keeps. Vomiting no matter how much he just wants to you know. Not.

Hot. Too hot. He’s burning up and very pale looking, sweating bullets as he just lays in agony. He whines like an injured dog, eyes bleary as he looks up at the doorway.

Dark Choco was humming along to some random tune in his head as he prepared dinner.

Having offered to do it instead so his father could take the break he needed. He genuinely didn't mind helping. He would do it most nights anyway, so doing it all himself wasn't too hard to manage.

Though, soon enough, dinner was done, and Dark Choco turns to his father.

"Dad, it is ready. Come get something to eat."

Cacao looks up at the other, straightening up slightly. Blinking blearily before rubbing his face and yawning.

“Alright, thank you, starlight. Again I am really sorry I.. last night’s shift and almost making you late for school-“

Dark Choco watches for a few moments to gauge Dark Cacao's reaction to the food, and once he was satisfied with it not being spat out immediately afterwards he went about cleaning up some of his mess from cooking.

"is it good?" he asks a few moments.

His hand still hadn’t quite healed up properly, so it was still partially wrapped in bandages instead of his usual gloves. He’s.. got a wine bottle under his arms for once.

He slides the money back.

Well actually before the other can really comment he lowers the bottle and in the same motion pulls the other in for a kiss. Uh. Wine transfer. The wine itself is rather on the sweet side, curious since he hates sweets. Also it’s surprisingly still cold as he literally makes the other drink it through the kiss.

He pulls out a card with a recipe for pumpkin bread and hands it over to Dark Cacao to get the other's input.

Cacao blinks, hair tied back with a pumpkin hair tie and a little flower crown made of orange and yellow leaves on his head. He looks at the other with wide eyes. Like a cat before looking at the recipe with a hum.

“I think it looks good. Sounds fun to make too. I am alright with anything you suggest, my dear.”

Well then, pumpkin bread it is. Hang on one moment, I'll grab some aprons for both of us.

Out of a kitchen drawer, Pure Vanilla pulls out two aprons. One brown and pink with decorative patches and one was white with a blue plaid pattern; there was a bow right at the waist.
