With enough butter, anything is good

I really should stop putting so much lemon juice in my veggies :(
Cooking tip: Careful when pan-cooking meat in thicker sauces, because the sauce can burn easily. Try thinner, liquid-y sauces (try Soy versus Hoisin, for example) or marinade the meat for 1/2 - 1 hour and wipe off the excess sauce before cooking. Or try the oven, if you have the time.
I learned this the hard way... :(
First recipe post! Rosemary Home Fries
Rosemary home fries:
By the way, everyone has different preferences for potatoes. I prefer mine crusted on one or two sides and relatively softer in the middle. I have oriented this recipe around. Feel free to adjust the cooking times to your liking. After all, that's what cooking's about! :)
Rosemary (can be substituted for other Italian spices, like Thyme)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder or minced garlic
Lemon juice
Potatoes (kinda thin rectangles)
Vegetable oil (don't use olive oil, it burns at high heat)
Coat potatoes in all the above ingredients
Heat a flat, non-stick pan on high heat
Add oil and wait for oil to heat up
Add potatoes and mix them around to coat them in the hot oil
Spread them out so each one is touching the pan
Pick a specific potato piece and after 5 minutes lift it up. If it has browned and crusted to your preference, go to step 8. If not, go to step 7.
If that piece is not browned, then check on it every few minutes until it has. Once it has, proceed to 8.
Mix the potatoes around every couple-few minutes for several minutes (~7).
Pick a potato piece, let it cool, and try it (please don't burn yourself). If you like the texture and how done it is, enjoy! If not, cook it more. Don't forget to mix every once in a while. It prevents them from burning.
Lemme know how it goes! I want your feedback. Also, feel free to leave suggestions, corrections, advice, recipe requests, etc etc.
Newest additions to our spice collection! I feel like a kid who just got a bunch of new toys. Can't wait to cook with these spices!
