I believe that is all that I must say now. However, here are some facts about me:

- I aspire to work in electrical engineering after I graduate (for context, I am a minor in high school and very good at math).

- I really enjoy the writing process! Hence the nature of the words and sentences in this post (most of the time I much less formal, I assure you).

- I also enjoy drawing, and will be posting my drawings on here.

- Matter of fact, I enjoy many things, so I’ll list the rest here: marching band, SOME sports, DnD, music of many kinds, Hetalia, novels, math, and history, and much more besides

- I live in Michigan. I am very proud of this fact, so you may hear this many a time.

- I am bisexual, and prefer men.

Did you know teenagers are 40% more likely to develop suicidal thouhts by being on social media at ages as low as 13?

I hate social media currently with every bone in my god damn body. Every new tiktok trend is a new way to shame someone's body into this new fad. What is it with teenage boys thinking they have the rights to tell me how i should look? grown men on tiktok telling me im ugly for wearing my hair a specific way? Do we not think this is a way to control the public into one beauty standard? NARP (Non-Active regular person) is a term i had to learn today, and i am truly holding the belief that this term is a way to make someone feel imperator because they are in active.

It started small for me. Weight reducer ads running on youtube, then i noticed shit. My friends eating less, developing eating disorders. Tiktok started to recommend me weight reducers then. All natural. Its not that I didn't care, its that it hurt me to see my friends struggle. Next was OZEMPIC ads run by celebrities. That's weird, i don't think a famous athlete needs a weight loss medication, but maybe its just me.

Yesterday i discovered trying to shame people for their BIOLOGY. hipdips, flared ribs- whats next? Dimples?

But i have found my people off line, in a place where eyes arent judging me for how I look. Where I am not shamed for simply fucking existing.

It is pathetic that I have now just begun to see how toxic media is. And ive debated on deleted Tiktok, Snapchat, Instagram, and may other platforms im on due to this. My dad was not kidding when he said social media is toxic, i thought he was just being an old fart.

I shouldn't have to look in a mirror at the rip age of 17 and hate myself because someone told me im ugly. Im sick of seeing my friends develop eating disorders because i hate seeing them struggle. We should be able to just exist as is.

Fuck social media. The only reason im even of it anymore is beause I consume anything and everything related to my god damn fixations when i get into something.

What is worse is that social media is crafted in such a way that the user is addicted to staying on it, further dragging them into this loop of despair that so much of the world is in due to social media. In life, us human were once given so many great wonders to explore, here and there. And now in an age where we are sucked into the Charybdis of the internet, we are losing third places meant as an escape from the crushing realism that typically surrounds us. It causes us to feel just as shitty without our devices as we do when they are in our hands for ours on end.

so I’m not out cus I live in a small town where most of the people are homophobic. And my buddy (non binary) used to “him” in reference to me in front of my huzz’s transphobic father. And said father told huzz’s mom.
