Here's this cool video I found from a guy who worked on Cramp Twins! (I think just season 2?). He tells some really interesting behind the scenes stories here! :)
So, it appears Cramp Twins is in the set of that upcoming CN documentary! I'm not too sure if CT will be outright mentioned or if it's just this little background appearance.
POV: you are a resident of soap city and your car's brakes have been having issues recently. you see a fairly cheap advert for a cheap cars repairman on craigslist and decide to go with it. this is who arrives... hes kind of scary and your attempts to make conversation with him are very uncomfortable, he is definitely a social misfit of some sort. you're scared at some point that he is going to run off with your car even, he gives you the creeps honestly. but he ultimately fixes your car, at a very cheap rate at that. so its okay i guess.

just wanted to test out some new lineart techniques in MS paint so i decided to redraw this CT scene of wayne, tony and lucien watching a horror movie together. (the screenshot is from the episode: count crampula!). Under the readmore I included some progress wips as i find those fun to add sometimes

a wayne cramp keychain I made out of felt!! The felt's lineless look reminds me of how he was drawn in the book series, particularly Swamp Fever. The carabiner I used for this keychain can't be seen (its in the back) but I used a purple star carabiner which i find fitting for him

one thing i really love about those official character model sheets is wayne having prominent eye lashes, when many characters in the show dont. for some reason they only ever put this for a few seconds in the intro. but the model sheets show me that hey, this isnt a mistake, this is canon to his design! Its strange that this element of his character design never made it into the actual animated cartoon though
fake screenshot!! i had a headcanon that there is a stray cat that frequents the junkyard. i like to think Dirty Joe adopts her and takes care of the stray cat, much to Wayne's dismay. Joe names her Stormy, after the song by The Association (i like to think Dirty Joe always has songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s always blaring during the day on a beat up speaker. i also like to think it influences Wayne's music taste a bit as well.) Anyways, here is Stormy greeting Wayne as he tries to sift through junk, he isn't very happy about it! but later on, he will not mind her presence around the junkyard so much. I think his mother might be the reason Wayne has a disdain of animals in the book and show, but Stormy slowly shows him animals aren't so bad to be around. he even grows to care about this animal companion in a similar way that Lucien does with his pet worms and even will look forward to seeing her in the junkyard or in Joe's trailer.
rendering the bg was a challenge but also fun!! i used ms paint for this.
