thinking about how despite how much they hate(d) each other it was always harrow making almost borderline flirty comments at gideon. 'i wouldve thought youd like to see my girlish and vulnerable heart,' 'or i may start to like it,' gideon going 'why did i have to be born so attractive' and harrow just saying 'because everyone would have throttled you otherwise' (ie not denying it). gideons flirty-ish comments were like an annoying jab at her side but harrows comments always came out like they wanted to hit right under her skin. ianthe was so right harrow IS a romantic

im so insane about our lady of the passion and part of my insanity is how i've noticed just how much pash is contrasted with gideon (specifically kiriona gaia). has anyone else noticed this?

like their hair. pash has electric blue hair while kiriona's is orange. kiriona's eyes are golden, while pash's are green. pash's face is littered with scars and burns and a misshapen nose, while kiriona's dead face is described as smooth and waxen. kiriona wears a gaudy white uniform, while pash wears dark grease paint and military clothing. when they're first introduced, we can't see pash's face, but she won't stop talking; we see kiriona's face but we don't hear her speak until much later.

i'm so insane about them. they're my nepo babies. the cousins ever. i hope they have more interactions in atn.

nona the ninth. Camilla gets injured in a duel. she doesn't care about it. except that this time she got pierced with a sword, her spleen "isn't one of the better spleens anymore", she's actively dying and her blood is all over the room. Camilla underreacts. it's now obvious that the huge wound in her stomach isn't her only problem.

campal from Pyrrha's perspective is so fucking funny. she survived only because G1deon's lyctoral process failed and then ended up living with a pair of crazy 20 year olds who coincidentally were in the middle of DIYing their own version of lyctorhood. she watched them do fucked up soul things, got flashbacks of her friends who suffered horrible consequences of doing those exact things, tried to warn them, was like "what if we just🥺lived on a farm🥺or something🥺", they were like "sureeee grandma let's get you to bed we'll think about it" but then she comes back from work and they're conducting their 10th unethical experiment of the week. and it's only wednesday.

one of many very sweet things about nona to me is that she intuitively correctly genders both pyrrha and palamedes despite them being in bodies that the people in her world generally perceive as the opposite sex. i don’t think tm necessarily set out to have trans themes in this narrative but i do think they shine through. anyway, nona/alecto/earth, i love you
