A knock on the door was what pulled Kid out of his disgusted thoughts as he perked up, toothbrush handle sticking out while he held on to the sink due to the fact he had to lean back a bit to see if he was hearing things. Nope, another knock made him sigh before spitting into the sink. "Hey Dark? I know you might be busy but can you answer that for me?"
The Possessor perked up from his spot in the kitchen. He was just watching the dark boo eat so he wasn't busy but something told him not to open that door. He didn't know why at first. Dark Boshy gave a hum, messing with the ghost's 'hair' before moving to answer the door. Now he knew why his nanos were screaming.
Ray stood there, head down with a worried look. Beside him? A very not happy looking Dark Kid. "Oh, Ray...DK? Why are you two here?"
Dark Kid gave the shopkeep an elbow which made him flinch before talking. "I, uh...seem to have fucked up royally. I found a catalog and, you see..." Ray trailed off with a shifty gaze. Another elbow and flinch before he started back up. "I seem to have ordered an evil without meaning to. Is, uh...my Guy around?"
Kid had to wipe the foam from the toothpaste off with a grimace. He heard it all and now he knew why it was bothering him. Something about that light blue and happy looking can was setting his body off. Just what evil did Ray give them?!
Ray paled as he realized Kid heard it all, shifting uncomfortably and unable to look at the small ruler. "So that's what was going on? That would explain the-" Kid raised a hand as a pardon as he couldn't keep a burp down, grimacing. "Sick feeling in my gut. It's not from here but whoever was warning me did it in the back. If I didn't know better these guys know of me in a way since they came for me for your mess up."
"Where's dad?" The Reanimated's question made Kid perk up, glancing back into the house. He didn't know Fauver had wandered off. The realization made him frown as he looked back at his dark half. "Oh...right. I think we better get back to the store. Something feel like it's about to go down."
Ray looked confused at first before a sudden outburst of a curse. It looks like he just remembered with how fast he was making his way back to the City bounds. The two soon looked at Dark Boshy as they caught the little jingle of the Possessor's notification. "I think we should all go...Boshy just messaged me...Geezer left the tower and started to head his way toward the store..."
Kid blinked a few times before biting his lower lip. He knew what this meant. The Guardian of the Haunted House and creator of the City in general wasn't happy about something. "Yeah, I'm coming. I swear if this is due to shipping holds he's going to throw a fit." Kid gave a grimace as he caught the gleam on Dark Boshy's surface. He hated it when he was right...
"I'm not too happy with waiting this long, Ray..." The tone was calm but the Painted face held a half lidded frown. The hologram of the Master AI's face hovered thanks to the two light blue shards that had marks of lime green, matching the hologram's screen.
Ray gulped hard as he was in the faint glow. He knew Geezer wasn't just 'not happy' thanks to the fact the store's lights had failed leaving them in the dark. "I-I know, sir. I was just about to check on it before DK grabbed me to warn and ap-apologize to our Guy."
The sentient AI heaved a sigh but the shards moved like he gave a nod. "Please hurry and check on that tower. It's been a few weeks." Geezer grumbled as he looked away. He would've asked Kid to get it at this rate if he had known it was going to take this long.
The lights flickered back on as the area around the shards flickered, a formed body's hands resting against the counter as he wasn't aware of the recent newcomers. Kid's voice made him perk up, a smile returning though it somehow looked tired. "Geezer? I swore you got it already."
"Nah. Been a few weeks now..." The AI gave a huff, arms now crossing. That's when he noticed. Kid didn't look too well. "Damn, my Guy...you good?"
Kid waved off the question with a reassuring smile. "I'm good, buddy. Just found out something I'm going to have to fix." He noticed Geezer's tired smile fall, eyes narrowing. "I don't know why but I might have to start selling the extras of my garden even more now with how fast they're producing...all because of him."
Geezer followed Kid's point toward the back before giving an incredulous look. "You can't be serious?"
"I wish I wasn't." Kid returned with an eye roll, soon beside the AI at the counter. "Might help the economy more anyways so I'm not mad at that. I'm mad that the stupid evil thing's made me sick..." He swore he heard a snort of a held back laugh at his pouting and looking back up he caught that slight grin. "Hey, I have a right to complain!"
"I know you do, Kiddo. Just caught me off guard with your tone." Geezer admitted with a quiet chuckle. The group stood there, waiting now. Kid looked back before frowning. He knew this didn't take long, even with an AI temper tantrum caused outage.
Kid didn't hesitate to hop over, making his way into the storage bay of the store. "Ray? You good?" He perked around the corner to see him with a lowered head, gripping the sides of the table the ordering terminal sat on. "Delayed again?"
"Lost...I...I can't tell him this! He'll have my code!" Ray's voice hit a squeak as he was nearly in a meltdown making Kid cringe. The little Guy made his way over, resting his hand against the Civilian's arm making him look down.
"No he won't. I know this might be a weird idea but this is the only way at this point. Give Barry a call You already work with him so give him a call. I'm sure with help a tower will come in quickly."
Ray went still before slowly nodding. "You're right... completely right. I shouldn't have sent the request elsewhere, stupid me." Ray muttered before grabbing the cellphone that was nearby. "Tell Geezer I'm getting him better, will you? Don't... Don't hold back what happened, as much as I hate giving him this news."
Kid nodded before ducking out of storage. The look on Geezer's face made him sigh. This wasn't going to be easy but at least he knew himself this was getting fixed in one way or another. So said that smile as it returned, nauseated feeling in his gut returning or not.
