Welcome to Rice’s Rg Ask blog! Rice is a 26 year old Au version of Ryou Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! DM. Without the ring, he thought that was the last of his ‘black outs’, last of his ‘gifts’ from the spirits inside. That was just a pipe dream, waking up to find himself cursed one day. Rice is able to see his surroundings just fine, but when it comes to living organisms such as people and animals he has a bit of trouble. To see them he must physically touch them in some way shape or form. And even then they will fade from sight after a time period of no physical contact. What do you think it's Ryou's favorite animal?

Rice tilted his head slightly placing a finger to his chin, “well I can’t say for all my alternates,” he smiled blissfully, “but for me, my favourite animal would have to be a star-nosed mole!” 

“They’re just so cute,” Rice laughed lightly scratching the back of his head as he glanced to the side, “but I mean, frogs and pangolins both exist too and they’re pretty cute too. Then again theres bats too, eh—do I really have to choose just one?”

“ARGH!?” he scratched up his hair moodily trying to narrow his choices down, “it’s so hard to choose!” He pouted moving his hands down to fidget with the long strands of hair on either side of his face instead of just making the knots everywhere else worse, sighing deeply and staring around the room trying to gather his thoughts. 

There were so many to pick between, he’d always liked cats, but mostly because in all honestly, they reminded him of his old Yami, bat’s were cute, especially Vampire Bats, they had cool teeth. Still, Rice mused trying to avoid looking his guest in the eye before he could come up with a proper response. Mulling over different animals in his head. They all had their pros and cons, but—

Rice gasped smiling brilliantly, “I know! Sea Lampreys! They’re like the vampires of the sea,” he snickered happily, “sadly they’re currently illegal to have as pets. But so are lions, so can’t win them all.”

Rice smiled softly, wiping an arm along his eyes, just managing to get out a quiet “thankyou.” 

“That means so much to me,” he offered a brighter smile, looking up from his arm, “thankyou! I will! I hope you have a wonderful day too!" He waved happily at his new friend, making a note in his head he probably did need to drink a little more if he didn’t want to end up dehydrated again.

Kill Confess Brush off Play dead

“On one hand you can try killing me, little harsh but ok,” Rice shrugged looking off slightly, “you can confess something to me. Maybe the fact you thought about killing me.”

“And on the other hand. You can just utterly ignore me. I mean I won’t notice unless you literally brush against me,” he sighed, “that or you can play dead yourself. Again make sure to die touching me so I notice.”

“…” Rice blinked a few times, calculating it in his head and on his fingers not that it did much. And he just ended up in a fit of laughter, trying to hide it slightly behind one of his hands. Once he’d finally calmed down enough he responded with a teasing smile, “I suppose I do.”

Rice couldn’t contain his slight shiver, his head flicking around rapidly trying to see who’d snuck up on him. Waving an arm out as he went. “Hello?” he tried instead. Sure he could be a little jumpy, but that wasn’t enough to scare him.
