Recently Hitoshi had been on this independent kick. He wanted to do stuff on his own like a big kid.

One of these things he’s been doing is going to the park by himself. His mama or daddy would walk him down, leave him there by himself for an hour or two, then come back to get him to walk home together.

However, today Hitoshi had gotten hungry during the 1 hour and 45 minutes mark. He knew he still had time and his street kid instincts kicked in. He moved to the trash can and started digging through it, snacking on the stuff he found.

He was so caught up in looking he didn’t hear the footsteps coming
