i think we've done a great job expanding the view of what a child's favorite animal can be. kids these days can say they love axolotls or pangolins or coelecanths and their decision is respected. maybe their parents can even find them a stuffed animal of it if they know where to look. and i think that's beautiful

have you seen that teacher making tiktoks reading emails the parents of the students send him? genuinely, wtf. look i'm still young as hell and not even have a kid but back at my day, schools were a place were you learned. most of the time you had your mouth shut, listened to the teacher or did the exercises you were supposed to do. breaks exist for some reason. apparently some parents not understand that. they've put their kids comfort in such a high standard that they ignore if that can bring them problems in the future, such as, and i'm trying to say this in a quite respectful manner but while keeping it short, being dumb and not be able to complete such basic tasks.

very recently i came to the realization that i don't like plain rice. i eat it a lot so i'm used to it, but never thought much about this. i do like it when mixed with the rest of the food or something else. but alone? no thank you
