I'm currently praying for America today, that regardless of the result, we stand strong and perservere for the next 4 years. The only way we falter is by attacking each other, and it terrifies me how much each side has villified each other. We are human beings. We want the same things, most of the time, it's the how we get there we don't agree on. All I ask, is that instead of blaming each other, or even attacking each other, that this year, we just reach out the hand and try to help each other. I think most of us know, presidents are not the end all, be all of policy decisions, or at least I hope we do. Our founders were not stupid or ignorant men. They made sure that the people, in the end of the day, have the most power. We the people. Just please for the love of everything we hold dear as a nation, we are still neighbors. Friends. Families. Collegues. We will still see each other every day. And we have to move past one of our most divisive, and honestly embarrassing elections, and remember, we the people can do more for each other, through what May be rough times, than any government entity can do for us. God Bless America and her people

I believe we have officially announced to the world that while we hate corrupt leaders and crazies elsewhere, we are perfectly fine with letting them run out country. We pick between a crook or someone acting like he's from idiocracy. And then we have everyone's high uncle and a crazy hippie as out third party options. This evenings debate was a circus and I'm embarrassed that the rest of the world saw that pissing match. At this point, I may vote for obi-wan Kenobi. Cause me may be our only hope

Do you think this poll of such a small group from a geographic region of the state that has the least sway in the primary election really is a good indicator of tomorrow’s vote? From a purely statistical perspective.

“Gun Violence” (assaults, accidents, and deaths) affect 108,000 people a year (by Moms Demand Action’s own numbers). That’s 0.033% of the total US population. “Gun Deaths”, which are included in that 108,000 total up to about 32,500 per year (including about 11,000 suicides, as well as accidents and justifiable homicide by both Cops and Citizens). That’s 0.01% of the total US population. Can anyone, name anything else, that affects only 0.03% of the population, resulting in just 0.01% of the population’s deaths, that is so demonized and heavily regulated? These are the anti-gunners own numbers, too, which means if anything, they’re bigger than reality. This also means that anti gun politicians have this information and still pursue gun control. Why? Because it’s never been about guns, it’s always been about control.

So, the deal with Iran is finalized as of sometime this morning, and Obama has decided that any legislation that would hinder that deal will be vetoed… I have yet to read the details so I don’t know if I should be worried yet, but I’m already concerned that there probably is no failsafe should the Iranian government return to a more extremist direction

Edit: So, from what I’ve read so far, Netanyahu is being a naysayer on the deal, as he should be with the decades of threats from Iran. I have a feeling that even if congress doesn’t approve the deal, it will become an executive agreement, which will become a while new can of worms should the white house change to GOP control. I hope that regardless, we don’t inadvertently make things worse for us in the middle east, cause God knows we could use another stable power in the region on our side. Even if it’s only for the time being. So we have 60 days to find out if this will actually go through or if we get to jump through more hoops

I’ve now read up more on this, and I have to say, it may be the one thing the current potus has done that will have a better chance at success than failure as long as Iran doesn’t relapse into extremism, the 65 day snapback clause seems a bit lenient, but I feel like it’s enough to give iran something to think about. Evidentally, due to the removal of sanctions, gas is predicted to be lower than 2$ a gallon on the national average by year’s end with the influx of oil in the already overfilled market. My hope is that this helps stabilize the MENA region and eventually gain us another ally in the region, unless we royally screw it up again like we did with the Shah

EDIT: Well, the ayatollah is apparently still the same jackass as always. Here I was hoping that we may actually see a moderate iran, consider the post above hopeless optimism at this point…. Damnit iran, this is why we can’t have nice things

I know I’ll definitely lose some followers for this, but I wholeheartedly believe this. This is not a “Black America vs White America” case. This is a case of a citizen not obeying the law, directing aggression at a police officer, and being dealt with as such. I support Darren Wilson 100%. Michael Brown was a criminal and has no moral ground to stand upon.
