Syd Barrett 💎

16 years ago, on July 7, 2006, Syd Barrett . The artist died sleeping at his home in Cambridge, aged 60, a victim of pancreatic cancer. In the years prior to his death, he also suffered from diabetes. 🎧

Syd has lived in seclusion since the end of his music career, in the early 1970s, then dedicating himself to painting and gardening. He never returned to public again. 🎧

Following his departure from Pink Floyd, several works were produced in his tribute, ranging from band's songs, biographies and tributes by other artists, with Syd Barrett being remembered to this day as the principal name of psychedelic music. 🎧
