I just really find the fact that the creator of dragonball has stated that Goku canonically cannot feel any kind of love, just ‘companionship’, to be a extremely interesting fact. Like, if his family died he’d be like ‘No!’ and then he’d get over it fairly quickly as if they were only just acquaintances. Same goes with the rest of his friends.

The series creator apparently doesn’t like the anime’s portrayal of Goku. They always cast Goku as a hero, when in the manga he’s really only ‘saving people’ as a side bonus that comes with fighting a stronger opponent. He doesn’t purposefully go in to save anyone unless there is a fight happening at the scene.

So, If Goku hadn’t hit his head, he would’ve just been another Raditz. And it also explains why he’s rather cruel towards Gohan and neglectful towards Chichi.

Apparently Vegeta is the actual exception to his own species. He actually genuinely loves his family, -a rare trait only Goku’s mother was proven to have- whereas Goku is apparently literally unable to have those feelings. It’s kind of ironic; Vegeta is probably the one that would be the most ashamed and resentful to admit he has those kinds of feelings.

your friendly neighbourhood film student here! this is very much a thing. financial gain is a primary goal for studios. you can love a film or hate it but a ticket sale still gives them money and essentially says “make more of this product!” it’s why the bayformers franchise is still a thing and why other franchises keep getting uneeded reboots and sequels. if it makes money, studios will make more of that product.

for the love of god if you want to watch this ironically, wait for a shitty camrip or torrent. don’t give sony money for this. if the emoji movie is financially succesful, we’ll receive more products like it.

Okay except that Steven Moffat is actual trash and his dismissal of the backlash as 1) not happening and 2) only coming from people who’ve never met a woman is actually harmful as fuck. If you don’t believe a thing is real you can’t respond to it appropriately.

The people saying “how can the doctor be a woman?” or “ugh, first Ghostbusters and now Doctor who?” Are not just socially awkward hermits hiding in a basement. They’re the men (and women) we interact with on the daily.

i reblogged this earlier but it’s been bothering me ever since and this basically sums up why.  i understand that treating internet trolls like they’re insignificant and powerless is a tactic.  but this isn’t just internet trolls.  there are tabloid fucking newspapers digging up stills from Jodie’s previous nude scenes with gross headlines like “DALEK-table.”  there are actual journalists churning out snide “think pieces” on why this is just political correctness gone mad, without even pausing to consider what it might mean to young female fans to see themselves as the lead and not the sidekick.  this is public, and it’s wide reaching.   its not just three dudes who never left their house.  would be super nice if it was.

also?  i’m just gonna say it.  Steven “women only watch Sherlock because they want Benedict’s cumbercock” Moffat is the last person on earth who should be calling out sexism.  clean up your own fucking house, dude.
