A Catalan course - Made by the Government of Catalonia, it includes EVERYTHING: from grammar, phonetics and vocab to oral exercises (on my Google Drive, for you!) – In Catalan!
Gramàtica Zero - PDF by the University of Valencia. Also on my Drive and in Catalan as well (this is what I call language immersion)
CUB - By the University of Barcelona - It has EVERYTHING you can imagine. In Catalan
PDFs and docs about apostrophes in Catalan - There’re some with basic rules, while others are documents used by university students
NOTE: I’ll keep adding PDFs I’m given at University with you. However, I can’t do so until the teachers shares them with us. Please, remember that most talk about exceptions and have been written for university students (a C1 level). However, you’ll see that we still review the basics

Vila Web Catalunya Nord - Vila Web focused more on the Catalan speaking area of France
Diari Illes Balears - A newspaper from the Balearic Islands. Don’t worry, it’s written in standard Catalan
TV3 - The TV from Catalonia. All its content is in Catalan, even advertisements! You can watch shows live or later, with Catalan subtitles included. You can also read the news and watch the weather forecast (also international).
Canal 3/24 - If you like knowing what’s going on in Catalan speaking areas, Spain and the rest of the world, you have plenty of news here.
Canal 33 - Also part of TV3, mostly interviews and documentaries live.
Súper3 - This is EXTREMELY USEFUL. It’s a channel in Catalan for kids, so the vocabulary is easier
Catalunya Ràdio - You can also listen to the radio.
IB3TV - The TV from the Balearic Islands. More difficult to understand if the person is talking in the balearic dialect.
Notícies - The news, by TV3.
Andorra Difusió - The radio and TV from Andorra!
ATV a la carta - TV shows from Andorra
Check if they have an App, they probably do.
NOTE: In Valencia we used to have Ràdio Televisió Valenciana, which is now closed. If they open again, I’ll add links to the TV channel and their radio.
TV3 tv shows - Here you can find all of them (you can look on each channel as well), but I’m going to recommend you some:
Merlí - AKA the show every Catalan speaking teenager is obsessed with. About a Philosophy teacher and his relationship with his students. A high school TV show, basically. It belongs to TV3, so it has subtitles as well. By the way, if you are learning Spanish you can also watch it in Spanish, but beware: the voices they’ve used are horrible. The second season has just started.
Polseres vermelles - The show every Catalan speaking teenager was obsessed with and the story that made Steven Spielberg cry (he actually bought the rights). About a group of teenagers with cancer and their lives at the hospital. The link will direct you to the first episode, but you can search the rest on TV3. With Catalan subtitles. Warning: quite sad.
Polònia - Short sketches about Spanish and Catalan politics, but it’s funny! You probably won’t get too much unless you know a lot about what’s going on over here, but it’s perfect if you want to practice slang. Again, it has subtitles, so no excuse!
Crackòvia - Same style than Polònia, but this time it’s all sports (football). Short sketches with humor and all about sport, trust me.
Ventdelplà - A tv show about a town and its citizens. Mothers loved it, you probably will.
Les Tres Bessones - A TV show for those kids between the ages of 7 and 9
Doraemon - Doraemon in Catalan! We were all traumatized when we heard that in Spanish it was “gorrocóptero” instead of “casquet volador”
Cites - A show about dating and relationships
Spotify lists with a ton of music in Catalan -
Groups (link to the Spotify profile)
Llibres.cat - Here you can buy books originally written in Catalan or translated
Amazon - More books as well
La Casa del Llibre - The Spanish version of Waterstones, you can find books in Catalan too.
Harry Potter - You can also read Harry Potter in Catalan, all the books related with this universe have been translated. Same with the movies, they’re available in Catalan (if I find the books or the movies I’ll add links)
As always, books for kids are quite easy. You’ll find many on Amazon
You can watch Peppa Pig in Catalan. It’s easy to understand if you aren’t that fluid. Link
You probably won’t find many youtubers in Catalan, but I’m pretty sure that if you sear “vlog en català” or something similar something will come up.
SUBTITULOS.ES - Yes, subtitles. The site is dead now. However, you can still download the content they have (subtitles). Many TV shows have been dubbed to Catalan, so if you’re feeling lazy you can watch Game of Thrones in English and add the Catalan subtitles. Not as good as watching the show in Catalan, but it works!
You have A LOT of material to start with. I’ll be adding more resources on this post, but if you know more sites (langblr blogs that talk about Catalan count too) let me know. Enjoy!
