Pisaeng’s loyalty is top-tier

It’s truly fascinating to me how loyal Pisaeng is to Kawi.

Ever since Kawi changed something in the past Pisaeng remained unwaveringly loyal to him, regardless of the circumstances.

First return from time travel:

Kawi becomes his best friend and is even appointed to be Pisaeng’s best man on his wedding day.

Kawi’s interaction with Pisaeng for that ONE day made a wild turn in their relationship - he unexpectedly becomes Pisaeng’s best friend. For their situation to drastically change like that with their interaction for just one day, this means that it became a significant moment for Pisaeng. Even looking back at the original storyline Pisaeng unconciously have always had wanted to connect to him.

(1) Pisaeng introduces himself to Kawi and tries to invite him to a group dinner with other peers

(2) Pisaeng immediately revealed he is Kawi’s secret buddy and declared that he’d openly take care of him

Second return from time travel:

Pisaeng, grappling with unrequited love for Kawi, calls off his wedding and confesses his feelings.

I wonder how on earth did Pisaeng manage to be with Pear, planned to marry her, gave up on his wedding day just to confess his love for Kawi. I wish we could see how it went 🤧

In this time travel, they spent more time together trying to hook up Kawi with Pear. Kawi has already confessed that he was actually the real secret buddy of Pear.

During that time, I think that getting the stuffed toy on the toy crane machine was Pisaeng’s turning point of realization of his feelings for Kawi.

For some unfathomable reason, Pisaeng is still bound to marry Pear but is burdened with hidden affection for Kawi. He drunk and got wasted, walked out of his wedding, and finally confesses to Kawi.

Third return from time travel:

Pisaeng remained in love with him despite the fact that Kawi is in a relationship with Pear.

The heartbreaking reality of Pisaeng’s love for Kawi continued for a long time. This enduring affection paints a poignant picture of Pisaeng’s unrequited love.

For eight years, Pisaeng remained patient and is still waiting for Kawi to reciprocate his feelings - even though Kawi got together with Pear and actively avoids to be speculated by the public of his closeness with Pisaeng. Deep down, Pisaeng already knew that Kawi will never like him back but he’s just in denial.

Notice in episode 9 when he said this?

He never entertained the idea of being with Kawi, firmly believing that Kawi would never cross that line.

So for the third time travel, he just wanted to stay by his side, support him, and even willing to be his plan B when things go wrong for Kawi - he’s basically his side chick 🥲 It came to a point when even that was too much for him. He’d eventually stay away from Kawi but still, his love remains. That even from afar he’d still choose to watch and listen to him after every stupid thing Kawi’s done to him.

Pisaeng’s loyalty is

Drunk Kawi

This is my favorite scene in the entire series!!! Here’s the reason why:

1. I never thought Krist could make that face 😍

For me, this is the cutest part of the series! Kawi is either very childish or very mean towards Pisaeng because of the fact that in the future Pisaeng will eventually marry Pear. This is the first time I saw Krist make this cute puppy face 🥹 I never thought I’d live to see it 🤧 Thank you GMMTV 😭

2. It gives us new perspective to his character, Kawi.

He's always chaotic when he's drunk, but here he's more like a lover. Playfully toying his hair, he asks Pisaeng how he was able to like someone like him and continues to make that puppy face.

3. Kawi’s first realization that he likes Piseang.

In my opinion, this is the first time Kawi realizes that he actually likes Pisaeng.

Despite the rivalry he created between him and Piseang, all the mean things he’s been doing to him, Piseang remained kind and chose to stay by his side. He’s been wondering what qualities he had that made Piseang like him more than a friend.

“You’re cute. Is that reason enough?”

It’s not even the answer he was looking for, more like just an affirmation that ‘I do like you’ - but he kissed him anyway.

Be My Favorite

The recast was the best thing!

I was so excited to learn that Krist will have a comeback on the BL series genre!

I came across with his Instagram post of the series and was thrilled to see that he'd be starring again in a BL series. I'm a fan of Krist ever since I watched Sotus so it's very refreshing to hear that he'd be in BL again after such a long time!

But honestly, when I saw the pilot trailer with him and Mike - the title of the series was "You Are My Favorite" at the time, I wasn't excited enough to save the date of the premiere of the series because I thought that they didn't have the chemistry to be a couple (sorry Mike) So I just ignored it and waited 'til the series was over.

I used to didn't like watching series every week because of how dragging it felt, but with my experience watching the Bad Buddy series, I loved the excitement that comes with it!

So, I forgot about the series. Fast forward four months, I suddenly remembered Krist and this series. I couldn't even remember the title so I had to look up his list of series. I was surprised that Mike had been recast. I did feel sad because he would’ve finally had a lead role for a BL. I actually looked up for the reason why he was recast but the GMMTV didn’t really give anything away. I hope he’s doing well and will be given a lead role in the future.

So, without a second thought or even looking at the new trailer (I actually watched it after I finished all the episodes), I watched the series that night and WOW! I'm really glad that Krist was paired up with Gawin - they had great chemistry! They’re better than KristSingto in my opinion! I watched the series for 2 nights and it was perfect! THIS IS MY NEW HYPERFIXATION NOW!

I wish they'd have more projects together, I'd love to see more of them!!!
