The Light and the In Between is a blog project dedicated to my fantasy warrior cats AU and the worldbuilding/characters within it, centering Wanderpaw as a sort of protagonist/POV. What determines what gift each cat gets? Like, would a crossclan kitten get the traits of the clan it's born into? A mix of both? None, cause it didn't earn starclans love?

What are all the clans "gifts from starclan"? Like flourishclans wings and colours, and tunnelclan (i thinks) bug wings

The Flourishlings! Meet Berrykit, Vinekit, and Applekit- FlourishClans current litter of kits. At this age (2 moons), their feathers haven't quite grown in fully, looking a bit sparse and silly.

Made a rough map of the territories! The clans are on a large island which they occupy the majority of-- grey is unclaimed and/or unknown territory. The Site of the Star is a sacred site and structure that the clans can use to speak to StarClan as well as where gatherings are held. Outside of events it is neutral territory cats can pass through. WaveClan is relatively cut off from the other clans, but they have an arrangement to pass through TunnelClan territory to get to the Site of the Star. The branching segments connected to TunnelClans camp show a rough approximate of their tunnel systems, and FlourishClans two circles outside of their camp represent the outposts they have outside of their main camp area. All clans have a main camp, with smaller dens and living spaces expanding out a varying distance into their territory. Most often, the leader, caregivers, kits, and elders live within the central area, while other ranks live further out.

✨ Hello and welcome to the Aphidclan design contest! ✨

There’s a character coming up that I just can’t seem to quite get the design down for, so I’d love for you guys to take a crack at it! She’s a trans woman who goes by she/her pronouns, and she wields a dagger as her primary weapon. She has a bold and wise, yet fun and adventurous personality. She’ll tell you what you need to hear when you’re down, but will have fun with chaotic antics and mayhem as well! Feel free to design her as a goth/emo/scene/rocker chick/punk/etc.

There will be a top 3 selected based on personal preference and how much I think your design will fit with the Aphidclan style.

The first place winner will have their design canonized! I will credit you with her first in-comic appearance, on her toyhouse profile, and in her official reference sheet. You also get a fullbody + simply shaded drawing from me.

The second place winner will receive a simply shaded headshot icon drawing from me and my thanks!

The third place winner will receive a headshot drawing from me and my thanks!

Guidelines

1. Feel free to go wild! Anything is on the table, accessories, clothes, straying drastically from the sprite’s design, etc. I fully encourage you to go wild with this and make her as unrealistic sparklecat as you can. Just make sure she’s still a cat! So no horns (unless it’s an accessory) or wings or turning her into a wolf, etc etc

2. No offensive/bigoted/nsfw/inappropriate imagery

3. No use of AI at any point in the process.

4. Don’t give her a name! I’d like to name her myself.

5. Traditional art is fine as long as you’re okay with me interpreting/modifying the colors a little bit! No picrews allowed.

6. You can keep/use any design that doesn’t win first place. If your design does win first place, by entering you agree that the character design now belongs to me.

7. I might modify the design a little bit just to make it easier to draw in my art style, like for example I might simplify it a little bit if it’s too complex, but I won’t stray from the original design too far!
