TAYLOR SWIFT: MYSTERY STORIES | #110 | WILDEST DREAMS
my edit: @chloe-or-sam-or-sophia-or-marcus
Hi, I'm Keene. If you guessed that I have chosen my tumblr pseudonym based on the Carolyn Keene herself you would be correct. I originally got into tumblr (way back when) because I wanted a space to freely blog after I learned how fun it was on Her Interactive message boards. There, I had siggy shops and sometimes created cringe game reviews, and then eventually migrated over here for broader fandom and creativity parameters. So – sometimes you'll see swirlies (IYKYK) and sometimes edits. But I'm working on posting more because I've noticed a change in myself since I tapped back into this side of myself and I am going to keep exploring! 🔎

Nancy Drew Game Aesthetic #32. Sea of Darkness
The green glow of the Northern Lights. Footsteps crunching across snowy paths. Salt air. Rusted metal. Barnacles on the light house walls. Thick wool sweaters. Twinkling Christmas lights. A loneliness that cuts to the bone. Icebergs. Icicles. Heavy ropes. A hearty meal by a crackling fire. Breath fogging in the freezing night. A coat that's never warm enough. The hum of a motorboat skimming through water. Waves lapping against the deserted pier. A warm cabin with cozy blankets. Curling up while a blizzard rages. Love letters written with shivering hands, tucked inside your pocket to keep you warm. The crinkling of a newspaper. The buzz of a snowmobile. Local legends recounted in hushed tones. Buried treasure. Icy caves. Love and loss in equal measure.

I like vexing your brain because when you are thinking real hard, like when you are playing piano, you are more beautiful than anything in the world. I am sure to be out of here before you find my treasure, but in case I am not, know that it is all yours, and that you are more precious to me than ten thousand treasures put together.

Nancy Drew Game Aesthetic #33. Midnight in Salem
Hot chowder on a chilly day. Dried leaves crinkling underfoot. Carved Pumpkins. Herbal tea. A deep, abiding unease you can't seem to shake. The smell of old books in the restricted section of the museum. Silent nights filled with wafting clouds of fog. A prickling feeling on the back of your neck. The rustling wind shaking red leaves free from swaying trees. Overgrown moss and long strands of ivy. The smell of smoke clinging to the ruins of a dried-up building. Old wood and creaking floorboards. A cemetery with unmarked graves. The smell of incense, the smell of hay. The daggers that hide in small town smiles. Rain pattering against a darkened window. A warm cup of apple cider in shaking hands. Dusty tunnels. Whispers in the forest. A slow descent into certain madness. Flashlight beams. Murky water. The enduring weight of a violent past.
