"Yeah would you like to hold it shouldn't be too much longer and it's eyes should be opening should be any day now." Lindsey held out the kitten towards April

"I found her in a trash can meowing she was still wet from being born. I think she may have been the runt I took her to a pet store got mother's milk and some cute little bottles. I haven't named her yet but she's a fluffy little one." Lindsey sat down on the bed watching April rock the kitty

"Yes before I came to New York and moved with Nick I took a pregnancy test. It was positive I've kinda sorta been stealing prenatal vitamins since then. Last night I was assaulted and raped by him again. It was bad then I was bad but never mind I'm sorry I'm sure you don't wanna hear it.." Lindsey breathed out softly looking down feeling ashamed

"Really? My dad isn't Jack and probably doesn't know about me. But, he's a very good man and most likely love me but I don't deserve that. But, Jack the one how has abused me most of my life I cut something off of him last night and may have taken it with me." Lindsey looked up to see if there was judgment or something else there

"I guess Nick went a bit dark last night. I overheard him telling Mom I mean Sienna that because of his super enhanced hearing he heard my attack but wasn't able to help me. I guess after i ran back home I mean here. He acted like he was saving him putting pressure on his wound and stopping the bleeding. Only to slowly drain his blood and kill him. I don't think he'll ever hurt us."

Lindsey didn't know that Nick already knew and actually found her prenatal vitamins that she's been stealing.

This definitely was the worst patrol ever. A random asshole was getting ready to take a shot at a kid walking home from a school event.
So the cow decided to swoop in knocking the kid to safe after making sure the kid was alright The cow told them to run once they would sure the coast was clear and the kid took off.
The cow then felt a burning pain in their leg then they realize that they'd been shot in the side of the leg in the knee area. They breathed a little easier when they saw the bullet had went through and came out.
'Fuck! Great as if getting shot wasn't enough there's Peter." The cow scooted behind the dumpster letting out a scream when a surge of pain went through her.

Peter slows when he hears labored breathing, stopping completely and turning towards the dumpster. When he pinpoints where the sounds are, he starts walking towards the source and finds her behind the dumpster, clutching her leg. "Did you get shot? What'd you do to get shot?" He kneels on the pavement and takes the leg in his hands. "You're going to bleed out or something! And please take the mask off, it's going to give me nightmares."
"Shit dose everyone hate the cow mask?" Lindsey cried out laughing a little
"Mhmm it went in and out I don't think it's that bad but it hurts never been shot. Is anyone else around?"

Peter peeks his head out of the alley. "No, no one's here. Even if it goes in and out you could bleed out, you know that, right?" He quickly bandages it with web fluid. "Why'd you get shot?"
"Yeah I figured that shit I'll be sided lined awhile huh? Some jackass was aiming for a younger kid I saved them." Lindsey takes the mask off.
"I saw you got embarrassed and hid behind the dumpster. I'm usually more careful."
"Yeah, you will. There's a hole in your leg and you don't have a healing factor, so there'll be a hole in your leg for a while. From experience, I doubt you could even move your knee. C'mon, we're finding you a hospital." He eyes the wound. "Actually, you probably can't even walk. How do you feel about bridal carries? I can also perform the fireman and the sack of potatoes."
"As long as you don't drop me I don't mind either one. Or I can try to walk leaning on you. God I'm so stupid. I can't even do this right." Lindsey was proud she helped someone but she embarrassed herself Infront of one of the reasons she wanted to be a hero.
Even before she moved here she thought he was cool.
"Yeah, let's try the walking and leaning." He helps her stand up and puts a hand under her shoulder. "It's great that you helped that kid out. Just, next time try not to get shot, please."
Lindsey secured her mask and her pocket and started to walk with Peter trying not to lean much on him She was threatening as she walked The pain was bad.
"So I did good then? Thanks for helping me I didn't want to look so lame around you but here we are."
"You don't look lame. You look bruised and battered, like a weathered soldier or something. And yeah, you did good." He secures his arm lower on her back in an attempt to lessen her load. "You can lean on me harder. I've got super strength."
"That's right I forgot sooo tired." Lindsey mumbled softly leaning on Peter
Peter takes the extra weight. "Wait, I forgot that just walking into a hospital waiting room with a bullet wound would raise a lot of questions. It's fine, we can go to the tower and get you patched up. It's just a lot farther."
"Mhmm tired please carry me?" Lindsey pouted
"The tower ok sounds ok."
He nods and tucks one hand under her arm and one below her knees before swinging her up into her grasp. He's a bit worried that the movement will agitate her wound, but there's not much he can do about it. He starts carrying her towards the tower, walking at a rapid pace.
"You are really strong and I'm sorry."
"Thank you and it's alright! I mean, it's not alright that you got shot, but this," he gestures to her in his arms with the hand under her shoulder, "this kind of thing happens way more often than you'd think."
"Not sure what to tell Nick I probably should tell the truth. But not sure if he'll approve. But I love doing it."
"You're going to have to tell him. There's a hole in your leg. Plus, he'll know, whatever you tell him."
"Right and am I gonna get you in any trouble?" Lindsey asks softly closing her eyes
