ok, no one has asked me to speak but I feel like I need to.

What’s happening in Catalonia is terrible, but also illegal. I’m not saying police brutality is ok, but these people, because policemen are people too are DOING THEIR JOB. What “voters” are doing is illegal, democratic or not, but beating them is not the solution.

If they want to go out of Spain, well, they can do it, they should, but legally.

The Catalan government branch has stablished a new law (not approved by central Spanish administration) that allows to make the referendum valid with only 30% of voting population, when everybody knows that is nothing close to logical. To register any voting as valid, in any part of the world, a 50% of population is required. Today they are leaving 70% of the population out of this issue. To add, a bit more, this morning at 8:30, right when they were carrying the polling boxes (which, btw, are black so you can’t see what’s on the inside) to schools, one of the representatives fell and it broke, revealing they were papers already in it, although the voting hadn’t begun yet.

I have nothing against Catalan people voting and being independent, but im not tolerating ignorant Tumblr users calling my country fascist, the government is shitty, but not fascist.

I repeat, I’m ashamed of us Spaniards for letting this snowball as it has done.
