This is where I write for the murderboys. I am currently obsessed and I shall be indulging in that.
My name is Katarah. You can take any variation of that and call me by it. I am 22 earthly years and such, I am very much an adult so minors don't interact. I mean it.
Currently, this blog is for the vampires and other creatures of the night and thus, I will be writing for the vampire diaries and the originals, probably twilight, and many more.
"You are owed nothing" she screamed at him. "You have lived your life you don't get to deprive her of hers."
His eyes flashed in anger, he took a deep breath, chest expanding in fury, "you are supposed to be by my side, supporting me! Instead you back stab me at every turn to protect a girl that won't flinch at your suffering. You are mine."
Shepherd took a deep breath, "not with this klaus. Not like this. Not when you are trying to take hostage someone I consider family." She said, "but I am willing to meet you half way on my terms."
The hybrid barked out a laugh then took a step forward and other step until they stood chest to chest, toe to toe.
"How are you going to stop me, hmm? You are puny human, I am the hybrid, I can't be killed, I can't be daggered. What will you do, hmm? Tell me." He said in a calm manner, but his eyes showed what he is really feeling.
"You already know I will do anything for my family. Anything."
"Alright tell me what is your plan this time. What will you do? Because need I remind you, there is nothing in this world that can defeat me, now." He reminded.
"You and me are not going to get out of this room until we come to an impasse."
His form blurred as he appeared next to the door, he opened it then turned to her,"I will leave now and I will take the doppelgänger with me, I will come back for you in a year or two once you have calmed down and came to your senses."
He proceeded to try and walk out, only for him to end up infront of her again. He stared back at her, shocked. He tried again and again only for him to end up where he started.
"What did you do?" He roared in fury. Looking her in the eyes.
"What part of we are not leaving this room did you not understand?" She answered back, calm and collected.
"Is that your grand plan? You will hold me hostage? the magic will eventually falter-"
"It will not"
"that your witch will eventually tire-"
"This is not her doing"
"You want to lock us in here forever? Go on right a head. In case you have forgotten, I am immortal. And eventually whoever is carrying this spell to bind me will die."
"That is correct."
He searched her eyes for something, her resigned tone making him suspicious, they looked eyes for a long while before his eyes widened in slow realization.
"No." He whispered. But she remained silent. He began to shake his head in denial.
"No!"
"I am not immortal klaus. I will die." She affirmed his suspicions.
He began to laugh, first in disbelief then it devolved into hysterical laughter.
"And he was wondering how we could share you when you are so kind and I am so cruel, turns out you are as cruel as I am." He gasped out breathless between laughs.
"You won't stop any other way."
"You think Elijah will let you do this? I am his brother, he loves you. He won't let you kill yourself to prove something." He breathed out.
"In this room, nobody from the outside will remember us, it is just you and me." She revealed.
He stood there for a second, mouth agape with disbelief.
"You think I care?" He questioned, "you will die and I won't feel a thing." although he sounded more trying to convince himself than to anything else.
"I will get out and I will eventually forget about you." He said stubbornly.
Shepherd knows that she has no right to be hurt. after all, she is setting him up in here with her to be locked away for all eternity.
Still. It stung a little.
She smiled at him widely, showing her teeth, and she said nothing.
They stayed in silence for a long while and she stayed smiling.
"What are you smiling at?" He said, livid.
"Oh nothing" she replied.
"Well it can't be nothing if you are smug about it."
She looked at him, all demure and innocent, "I just think it's nice that you have hope like that."
"Hope?"
"Yeah hope of getting out."
"What in the bloody hell do you mean by that?"
"I mean, once I die, you will never have a chance of getting out. You will be here, sitting all alone, with only my corpse for company. Forever." She grinned, and this time it was not playful nor nice, just all teeth and malice.
"I will turn you."
"Into a vampire? You are welcome to try. Two tried before you and it never stuck." She shrugged.

Summary: duke Leto atreides day keeps getting worse and worse. First he had to work on this nice day instead of spending time with his son. Second, he has to work out a bunch of legislations to stop people from fighting horened serpents in the sea. And now the emperor decreed that he has to marry he enemy houses heir. Might as well kill him now and spare him the torment.
Hi so this is the fic that I was supposed to publish regularly but did not despite having chapters written. Likes and reblogs appreciated.
-----------------------------------------
The day was sunny and warm. A rare occurrence on caladan. It was the sort of day that would be better used to spend time with loved ones out in the gardens. To cultivate relationships with your children and watch them grow up and make memories with them, a luxury duke leto atreides does not have. Instead, he is in another meeting discussing matters he would not rather hear about with people he frankly does not like. such is his life.
He sometimes wonders, as one of his council men starts on a topic that is easily worked out, if his father took up bull fighting to escape the dull thrum of the court. He also privately wonders if he got himself killed on purpose.
The council chamber was shrouded in the golden light of late afternoon. The room, vast and echoing, carried the scent of polished oak and old stone. At its heart stood a long table, carved with the crest of House Atreides—the hawk in flight. Around it sat the duke’s trusted advisors, their expressions mirroring the tension in the air. It was a space where strategies were devised and burdens shared. Massive wooden beams supported the high ceiling, their carvings depicting the triumphs of House Atreides. The room smelled faintly of sea salt, carried in on the cool evening breeze that crept through the tall, narrow windows.
Duke Leto Atreides sat at the head of the table, his sharp features shadowed by the slanting light from the tall windows. His brow furrowed deeply as Thufir Hawat, his Mentat, finally stood up to present them with the most important of today’s news.
Thufir stood at the head of the table, the dim firelight highlighting the lined features of his face. His hands rested lightly on a stack of sheets as he addressed the room.
“My lord,” Thufir began, his voice steady and his features grave, “the emperor has issued a formal proposal. He suggests a marriage alliance between yourself and the na-Baroness Harkonnen.”
The room fell into stunned silence. At the far end of the table, Tobin Charr, the minister of foreign relations, let out an audible snort. Beside him, Daelin Moros, the Atreides fleet commander, leaned back in his chair, his hand rubbing his temple as though warding off a headache.
“Good one, thufir. Did not know you had it in you.” Charr laughed. With him, the room descended into quiet mirth.
“It is not a joke i am afraid.”
The joyful atmosphere quickly died down.
“You mean to tell me,” Moros said slowly, his deep voice edged with disbelief, “that the emperor wants us to bind ourselves to the Harkonnens? After generations of blood feuds?”
Leto’s face darkened, his knuckles whitening as he gripped the arm of his chair.
“That’s the emperor’s solution? He hands me Arrakis with one hand and has a knife to my back with the other.”
Thufir gave a small nod. “It is precisely because of those feuds that the emperor sees this as a strategic move. A gesture of unity, on the surface.”
Leto’s voice cut through the murmurs like steel.
“And beneath the surface?”
Thufir folded his hands on the table, his expression grave.
“Beneath the surface, my lord, it is a trap. The emperor seeks to weaken both Houses. By tying us to the Harkonnens, he sows mistrust among your allies. And the baron will see this marriage as a threat to his control. Conflict is inevitable.”
Tobin Charr’s tone was sharp and unfiltered.
“We don’t need their filthy bloodline mixing with ours. This na-baroness will be a spy, or worse, a weapon.”
Moros grunted in agreement.
“A weapon, indeed. She could kill you in your sleep, my lord. Or sow discord among your people.”
Thufir raised a hand, silencing the outbursts.
“With respect, ladies and gentlemen, this woman is no pawn. While She is the baron’s favored child, it is not just for sentimental reasons and While the public perception is that of a spoiled heiress, the reports from our spies say otherwise. Intelligence report that Since the age of fourteen, the na-baroness has managed Giedi Prime’s industrial sector with ruthless efficiency. Her leadership has resulted in unprecedented growth in production, particularly weapons manufacturing. By all accounts, she is intelligent, resourceful, and efficient.”
Lauren Maxwell, the minister of production, eyes widened slightly. “Fourteen?”
Thufir nodded.
“Now twenty-three, she has survived over three hundred assassination attempts. Many of them likely orchestrated by her own father. Despite this, she thrives.”
Leto leaned forward, his voice low and skeptical.
“Three hundred attempts, and she’s still alive?”
Thufir nodded.
“Yes. By her father’s enemies…and by her father himself. The baron is known to foster chaos within his own house, encouraging infighting to weed out the weak. Yet this woman has thrived under his rule. She is dangerous, yes, but not in the way you fear.”
“What kind of person survives that?”
“A Harkonnen, my lord.” Thufir’s voice was matter-of-fact.
Gurney Halleck, standing by the window with his arms crossed, let out a derisive snort.
“A spoiled Harkonnen brat who happens to be clever. I fail to see the benefit in this match, my lord.”
Lauren glanced at Gurney, her voice measured.
“Surviving three hundred assassins requires more than cleverness, Captain. It requires skill.”
“Or it requires being just as twisted as the people trying to kill you. Don’t romanticize it, my lady.” Gurney shrugged"
The duke frowned, his mind turning over the information.
“Is there any record of her? A portrait?”
Thufir shook his head.
“No, my lord. Giedi Prime considers the na-Baroness holy. Her image is forbidden by tradition, making her an enigma even to her own people. The lack of records is part of her mystique.”
Leto’s voice softened, almost to himself.
“A ghost…”
Lana Thorne, intelligence master, turned to Leto, her tone serious.
“A woman like this is not easily controlled. If the emperor intends her to be a weapon, she will cut both ways. And if the Baron intends her to be bait, she may be far more dangerous than we realize.”
Leto’s frustration flared.
“And I’m supposed to welcome her into my home? Into my bed? How am I to trust her?”
Lana met his gaze calmly.
“You don’t. Not yet. You study her. You learn who she is. And then you decide if she is a threat or an opportunity.”
The council chamber fell silent, the crackling fire the only sound.
“Sire, the idea is not without merit. If our intelligence is true, the harkonans won't attack if they know that she will be hurt. Your control of arrakis would be much easier then.”
Leto stood abruptly, the chair scraping against the stone floor.
“This emperor’s proposal stinks of manipulation. He hands me Arrakis, a poisoned gift and then dangles a Harkonnen bride before me. He wants me to play into his hands.”
Thufir rose as well, his tone calm but firm.
“And if you refuse, my lord, you weaken your position. The emperor counts on your mistrust of the Harkonnens. But the na-baroness complicates things. If she is as intelligent as the reports suggest, she may be more than a pawn in game.”
Leto’s eyes narrowed.
“Or she may be another dagger at my back.”
Moros leaned forward, his voice rising.
“Then refuse her! Better to spurn the emperor than invite a Harkonnen into your bed!”
Thufir turned to Moros, his expression sharp.
“Spurning the emperor will invite open war, and we are not ready. This marriage is a calculated risk, but it may buy us time.”
“I won’t walk blindly into this. Thufir, I want every scrap of information on the Harkonnen na-baroness. Everything. If I am to take this woman into my house, I will know exactly who and what she is.”
Thufir bowed his head.
“As you wish, my lord.”

Leto’s private chambers were a sanctuary of sorts, perched high above the sea. It is the only place he gets to be himself, not the Duke of caladan, not the leader of his people, just Leto. Simply him.The wide windows overlooked the crashing waves below, their rhythm a constant companion to his restless thoughts. The room was sparsely furnished, but the fire burning in the hearth cast a soft, golden glow over the dark wood and stone.
He had a rule. No thinking about politics while in his private chambers. It is the only place where he gets to be just himself. Yet today's topic dragged itself unwillingly to his place of rest. He couldn't help but think of it.
His reflection stared back at him from the tall window, but his thoughts were elsewhere—focused on the weight of the emperor’s machinations and the shadow of House Harkonnen.
The door to his chambers opens quietly, a persons footsteps echo through the room. His posture relaxes. He knows this rhythm in his sleep, such as it haunts his dreams as much as it haunts his waking hours.
Jessica.
“You’re brooding,” his love observed as she approached him.
Leto didn’t turn, his gaze fixed on the horizon.
“The emperor thinks me blind,” Leto muttered to her, his tone edged with bitterness. “He hands me a noose and calls it an olive branch.”
Jessica looked up immediately, her Bene Gesserit training allowing her to read the tension in his posture.
“What has happened?”
Leto took a breath, his voice steady but grim. “The emperor has proposed a marriage alliance. To a Harkonnen.”
“A Harkonnen? Who?”
Leto’s lips pressed into a thin line.
“The na-Baroness. She’s to be my wife.”
Jessica’s expression remained neutral, though her grip on her hands tightened. “A dangerous proposal. What do we know about her?”
Leto’s gaze turned to the window.
“Not enough. But we’ll find out soon, what am i to do?” He said, stress lacing his tone.
“The emperor thinks you’re predictable. That you’ll bristle at the Harkonnen name and refuse the match. Or that you’ll accept it and play into his trap.”
Leto let out a bitter laugh.
“And what would you have me do? Pretend this woman isn’t a snake waiting to strike?”
Jessica’s voice softened, but her gaze was sharp.
“Perhaps she is a snake. But even snakes can be useful, my love. If Thufir is right, this woman may be more than her father’s pawn. She could be your ally.”
“And if she’s not?” Leto asked, his tone grim.
Jessica’s expression darkened her shoulders tightening with her resolve, her eyes light with the fire he loves so much.
“Then she won’t live long enough to become your enemy.”

The training grounds of Castle Atreides were alive with the sound of clashing blades and gruff instructions. Torches lined the walls, their flickering light casting long shadows across the sandy courtyard.
Paul ducked under one of duncun Idaho’s strikes, his breath coming hard.
“Why does everyone assume she’s a threat?”
Duncun scoffed, lowering his blade.
“She’s Harkonnen. That’s reason enough."
Paul straightened, wiping sweat from his brow.
“Thufir said she’s intelligent. Skilled. Doesn’t that make her valuable?”
His opponent pointed his blade at Paul’s chest, his tone sharp.
“Valuable and dangerous aren’t mutually exclusive, lad. Remember that.”
Paul grinned faintly.
“Maybe. But I’d like to meet her before I decide."
The older man shook his head, muttering under his breath.

This is why we can't have nice things.
She is losing her mind, that is the issue here. She has been having way too much interactions with magic, courtesy of the non stop lessons that she is having with Bonnie. Add in the stress and the feelings of imminent doom and the latent trauma induced stress and high magical saturation and you get a recipe for disaster. She just had a magically induced hallucination. That is it. That is it. That. is. just. it.
But it is not.
Realistically, the hallucinations are possible, it happened before, people think they are possessed, genuinely, honest to god possessed by a demon, but they are just hallucinating because of magic. It happens as a witch dies in a specific place and violently, the residual energy that stays could mess with someone's mind and body, the witch can appear as an apparition and it can cause the mental decay of a human if they are exposed to such negative energy long enough. That is the cause for hauntings. But the problem with her hypothesis is that hallucinations like that don't invent new people, nor do they make up ultra romantic, very gushy feelings in the person. You don't feel at peace when you are magically hallucinating. You don't feel accepted, loved, giddy.
The only way to get an answer is to undagger Elijah. That is firmly is in the fuck no pile. Even his name brings pain to her. Literal chest pains. Sometimes she feels as though she's being stabbed in the chest. Isn't that peculiar.
Ever since that day at the Salvatore boarding house, she has been out of sorts. Her normally patient demeanor is now gone, it is replaced with a much shorter fuse. She is impatient with Bonnie, she snaps at her and corrects her more forcefully that she used to.
She blew up on Elena for talking to her about her passing out at dinner. She almost punched John when he decided to get smart with her.
And she can't stop imagining all the things, violent, murderous things, that she wants to do to Jonas and all that have crossed her.
It was awful.
It's like she went right back to the person she was a teenager. Angry and resentful, with a vengeful streak so vicious it scared her sometimes.
She clawed her way out of that mindset, painstakingly went to therapy for many years, had literally went to a camp(the memories of that weird ass place sends shivers down her spine) and now, after many years, it's back.
She needs to get her head straight again, this can't go on like this, this type of mindset leads to impulsiveness, something that she can't afford right now. So for that she will have to do a cleanse, this time a full body one.
So off to the forest she goes.
•─────⋅☾☽⋅─────•
She wears her hiking boots, grabs a go back and stuffs in it a towel, a change of clothes, a candle, a book and some sandwiches and bottles of water. Then she sets off to go.
The forest is beautiful, as usual, but today is extra special she feels because the sun is up in the sky lighting the forest up and bathing it in golden light. The trees look like they are happy and the vines in the ground move as though the are dancing, it's the after effects of the spring equinox, everything feels alive and joyous. So long after a cold winter, the forest is delighted in its rebirth.
She walks for a long time, and on her way she does menial things, she feeds the squirrels, she forages for mushrooms and plants she finds along her path. She takes deep breaths and tries to move her mind to a more peaceful, calm state. Like her therapist advised.
She doesn't allow herself to reminisce or fantasize about her previous bouts of anger, that is a downward spiral. Instead, she focuses on her good memories, ones with her grandmother, growing up. Bonnie throughout time. Elena and Jermey. Caroline.
She remembers something in particular about a day when she had to babysit them all in one go, and although she was not that much older than them, she was the one the parents trusted. They piled in the Gilbert family home, and then they played video games and ordered food and did homework. And they went on doing that till the adults arrived.
Eventually she is there. The famed mystic falls, the namesake of the town, there's is nothing mystical about them rest assured, on the rank of how pretty, they rank pretty low, they are not even that high, on more than one point in her life she heard the disappointed complaints of tourists. It made her laugh every time.
She moves around and away from the built areas. the popular ones. And she goes to the spot that she used to frequent a lot. It is a bad idea to do this in the early April. But she will have a good chance of getting rid of her negative emotions this way. And if she gets sick? Bonnie and her are practicing healing magic anyways.
The ritual for cleansing is straightforward, you dunk yourself down in a pool or a body of water, and not all will be forgiven, but some of the bad will melt away, especially if you drink a specifically made concoction made by a practicing witch. It's what they do for the baptisms, minus of course the magical stuff, lest you get burned at stake.
She takes off her clothes, folds them meticulously and puts them on her bag.
Now that she is naked, she feels a little silly. Here she is, in the mission of April no less, in her birthday suit in the middle of the woods in a town full of vampires and the boogeyman of the supernatural world after her friend and probably her as leverage.
It is stupid.
It is also what makes her want to do it even more. Her rational mind is gone! For goodness sake. She is as impulsive and she can be, which in the game of saving lives, can be very disastrous.
She opens the bottle and drinks the mixtures, it burns going down, like ginger but multiply the intensity by ten. She gags after she finishes it. Gasping for air and leaning on a tree, her body starts tingling, like it's burning up. She feels hot and sweaty, which is a good sign that it's working. She walks closer to the water, it was shallow like a beach, and she walks until her feet are submerged. It is cold as frozen hell. Her feet pinprick from the frigid temperatures. She marches on until it's Waist length, she wants to lie and say it's not as bad, but she is already shivering violently. That is far enough, her mind supplies, you don't do well in large bodies of water remember? It reminds.
She takes a deep breath and starts lowering herself until she is in a sitting position, then she leans back until she is fully submerged. She stays like that for a minute, letting her body go and her feelings of anger sink within her.
She wants to be calm. She wants the blazing heat of her temper to be as cold as this water, let is burn away and let the ashes flow far away from her. She is not a vengeful being. Not anymore. Not after what happened to Henrietta.
She lets herself be submerged for a few more minutes, head underwater, before she suddenly plunges out. She gasps for air hungrily. Her lungs burn, but she has never felt more alive.
At last, her brain is quiet. And her homicidal urge is diminished.
She slowly gets out of the water, then she dries herself off, puts on her clothes and wraps herself with the blanket she brought.
She kindles a fire, and she makes herself tea. Cracking open her book, she begins to read.
She has no idea how much time she has spent here, she refuses to look at her phone, but eventually she falls asleep and dreams.
It's her house, the one she grew up in. Sheila is bent over a table, reading a grimoire and making her a remedy. A potion she insists.
Bonnie is at school and she is sick at home, she fell asleep outside and it rained and by the time she came inside, she was already sniffling. Sheila is strong and sturdy in here, he had tied her curls back with a scarf and she was buzzing around the kitchen, every now and then she would check on her and tell her to hang in there a little longer.
"Just a little more, sweetling," she murmured,"just a little more and all this sickness would go away."
She went back to the kitchen and she just sat on the couch looking over the tv, she missed Bonnie and she wanted to go outside, but she was tired and aching and gross.
Sheila comes back with a cup in her hand, she tells her to drink carefully because it's hot. She does, and she instantly feels better. It's magic. And it's so brilliant.
"Now that you are better, we have to talk about something." Sheila says seriously.
"What about, grandmother?"
"Tomorrow you will be going to a place filled with volatile powers, sweetling. You would have to help our belle not tear herself apart."
"You mean the witch burial ground? Is it possible that she can harness their powers?" She wonders.
"She can and she will, the problem is that this much power is not meant for one person to hold alone." Sheila intoned.
"But she won't be alone?"
Grandmother looks satisfied at that answer,"no, she won't be."
They sit in silence for a moment before shepherd talks.
"I am sorry that I wasn't there when you died."
"Oh, sweetling. It is better that way." Sheila gathers her up in her arms and hugs her to her chest.
"listen to me,"
She looks up from her grandmother's chest, indicating that she is listening.
"Eventually, it won't be enough, just the two of you." Sheila continues,"you would have to find more people to share the burden."
"Of Bonnie's power?"
"Not just that. There's things that you don't realize about yourself, sweetling. Somethings I didn't realize about you until I died." Sheila says.
"Like what?" She pressed.
"You will find out eventually, just keep this in mind. It's in Emily Bennett's grimoire when the time comes for you to seek it."
She breathes in, holding back her tears, she is overwhelmed because she doesn't want to leave, she realized too late that she didn't spend enough time with the closest thing she had to a mother,
"I am scared, grandmother." She whispers.
"Why would you be scared?"
"I am afraid that I will become something that I won't recognize."
"How so?"
"I love Bonnie very much, and with you gone she is the only family I have left. I love my friends dearly, and with the danger that surrounds them I fear that I will have start doing things that are not good." She explains,"like I did before."
Sheila is silent, her face pensive, she breaths in and out and with the rise and fall of her chest, shepherd is comforted. She ignores the lack of a heart beat.
"Bravery is not the absence of fear," Sheila begins, finally speaking.
"But doing the things in despite of it." She finishes.
"Bonnie is strong, and she is loyal. Without you she will get herself killed, sweetling. She is kind and hopeful and-"
"That is her weakness."
"Yes." Sheila concedes,"you have always been logical, I admired that about you, you won't let sentimentality get in your way, you will protect her and yourself adequately. And she will be there to tether you to the ground." She continues,"you won't become something that you are not, you will be exactly who you are meant to be."
"But what if that thing is grotesque, hurtful?" She mutters.
"You won't ever be a evil being, sweetling. You are not capable of that, you are a shepherd, and you will protect your flock."
She stays in her grandmother's arms for a while before Sheila says,"it's time for you to wake up now"
"Will you visit me again?" Sheila hold her face in her hands.
"Maybe." She says mischievously, popping her nose,"now go."
The ringing of her phone jerks her awake from peaceful slumber, she can't stop smiling, her faces stretched out painfully. She starts laughing for so long that the ringing stops and starts again. Her ribs ache when she answers,
"Speaking." She says, breathless.
"Shepherd, come out with us. It's girls night."Caroline screams, she has to jerk the phone away from her head so she doesn't become deaf in one ear.
"Okay. where to?" She answers, matching her enthusiasm.
"It's band night at the grill meet us there in an hour." Caroline supplies.
"Sounds good."
She is peaceful now. No vengeful plots and murder plans. The anger in her has settled down to a calm lake, its surface so still it could be mistaken for a mirror.
She won't be wreaking Dr. Martin shit.
•─────⋅☾☽⋅─────•
When she arrives the place is already packed. She had to mover across a sea of dancing bodies to get to where bonnie and the gang are standing.
"Hi girls!" She greets.
"Welcome to girls night." Caroline sings, a big smile on her face.
Jenna and Bonnie and Elena are there, and shepherd just goes to stand next to Jenna and says,"I can help you bury the body."
Jenna laughs, unabashedly, "not there yet."
"Pity."
Jenna turns around to her and she looks at her up and down, she wiggles her eyebrows and says,"you look good, like I can eat you good."
She blushes, side glancing to see if the girls are paying attention to the conversation. They are not, and Caroline knows anyway.
"You already did, remember high school?"
"Ah, yes. How can I ever forget you, pity it didn't work out." Jenna shakes her head, a sad look crossing her face and it vanishes almost instantly again,"enough of that, let's get you laid, not the both of us have to be single."
"One, you are not single, just in a complicated situation where there is a relationship. A situationship if you will." She says, lifting a finger in the air,"second, your last attempt left town in a hurry, and the attempt before him to this day runs the other way when looking at us. So no. Don't even think about it."
Jenna pouts, her perfectly kissable lips pulling into an adorable little frown,"I am a great matchmaker."
"You are a shit match maker."
She punches her arm, and shepherd yelps in pain, rubbing the spot. She glares at Jenna, although it packs no heat.
"Thank you for keeping contact with me." Jenna says, her tone soft.
"Well, thank you for answering me."
"I will always answer your calls, no matter what. I love you."
"I love you too, Jen."
They stand there for a minute swaying to the music before Jenna spots Alaric saltsman across the bar, he spots her back and then goes away.
“I need a drink.” Jenna mutters and then walks off, at the same time, Matt walks by, Caroline gets excited and greets him.
“Hey Matt." he ignores her and walks away. Her face falls.
"Ouch." Shepherd says. Talk about romantic trouble, thank goodness she is single.
“Things just got real awkward.” Bonnie mutters.
“Yep.” Elena added.
“Ugh, why won’t he talk to me?” Caroline whined, stomping her foot.
“He said the ball’s in your court.” Bonnie told her.
“Yeah, but I can’t do anything about it.”
“Why not? All you do is talk about how much you care about him.” This was getting tiring. In the end, it's either don't talk to them or do and tell them everything, because by your supernatural presence around them you would be causing them danger and it's even more dangerous to have them be unaware. Which makes her feel guilty because she is doing the same thing to Jenna, she decides that it will be no more of that.
“Yeah, but I am still keeping so many secrets.”
“Alaric's in the same boat with Jenna and maybe that's our mistake. We're trying to protect the people that we love by keeping them out of it, but in the end, we're hurting them anyway.” Elena said, looking towards Jenna.
"Exactly, not just emotionally, but you are putting them in danger physically as well."shepherd speaks out.
At that moment the band stopped playing and everyone clapped loudly. Caroline looked at the then at the stage then at them again, then she got this determined look on her face. Uh oh.
Caroline took off her jacket, Elena asked her what she is doing but she just ignored her, walking away and up on stage. She grabs the mic and yells,
“Hey, everybody. Let’s hear it for the band!” She yells excitedly. “Weren’t they awesome?” She starts clapping and everyone joins in,cheering.
"Social anxiety is afraid of that girl I swear."shepherd yells, Bonnie agrees.
Jenna comes back and stands next to her,
“This isn’t going to end well.” She says, and downs a shot. She wishes she could drink.
“So there's this guy. And, uh, he told me to tell him how I feel about him."she giggles "Like it's so easy. Um, you know, just 'cause I talk a lot doesn't mean I always know what I'm actually talking about. Ah, like now, I'm feeling loopy and I don't really know how to express myself.” She pants nervously. The band guy goes to take the mic but she ignores him,“I can sing. Yeah! Yeah. You know what? I’m going to sing.”
"Oh no. She is going to live her rock star dreams." Shepherd blurts out, giggling wildly.
The band guy tells her something, but she turns around and talks to him and then they start to play a tune, Caroline starts singing, and everyone starts gently swaying to her song.
“She’s good!” Jenna says.
“Yeah.” Elena agrees, a big grin on her face.
She continues singing, her voice bellowing out, and suddenly Matt comes on stage and pulls her into a kiss. Every one cheers and claps enthusiastically. And shepherd yells excitedly, in support.
Yeah, Caroline is very brave.
********
She went to get herself food, she was very hungry despite the sandwiches she ate on her hike. She got a hamburger with fries and sat down to eat. she was there for a while, enjoying her food and people watching until Stefan called her, she answered the phone and was bombarded with questions,
"Where is Elena?" He asked, frantically.
"I think she went to the bathroom. Why?"
"Jonas Martin is looking for her, he is coming your way right now."
"Why?" She said calmly, taking a bite of her burger, she found that if both sides are booming with nervousness, then nothing will be said, so she calmed herself to hear what he has to say.
"We don't have time for this, you have to find her immediately, I will be there soon." He said, seriously, then he hanged up.
Shepherd sighed, so much for hearing him, she just wanted to eat, but that bitch Jonas decided to mess up again, she was getting sick of his meddling with her friends.
You can always get rid of him , it said smiling.
No. We are not doing that.
Stefan called again and told her that he formed a plan with Damon and he just has to get Elena out of here, she grit her teeth and started looking.
She got up and looked around, she spotted Bonnie next to the back exit, and next to her is Jonas. She moved instantly, frantically trying to get to them, her heart fearfully pumping.
He could try to hurt Bonnie again.
The crowd was thick, it was hindering her from getting to her little sister. Try as she might, they won't let her through. Bonnie seemed to talk to him about something, her face scrunching up as she spoke, when he suddenly lifted his hand, shepherd gasped in fear.
No no no no.
But he didn't do anything except blow the lights out in the grill.
She was suddenly yanked away from the crowd, and away from Bonnie, she fought whoever that was dragging her from her arm, her assailant unknown to her because of the darkness. She was thrust in a room and with her Elena and Stefan. She was in the bathroom.
They talked about getting Elena out of here and Caroline should distract him for long enough that they can do it.
"Absolutely not."shepherd objected.
"We don't have time to argue!"stefan said.
"He is an older, experienced magic user, he could hurt her!"
"It's okay shepherd, I can heal. You should get out with them. You can get hurt."Caroline assured.
Shepherd bit her lip in frustration, fists clenched,"you shouldn't be in these situations."
She was mad, she is the eldest in here, yet she is so useless. She can't help them out in these situations and it is grating on her nerves.
"It's okay. Just go, I will be fine." Caroline comforted.
They went out of the bathroom, and the crowd dispersed very fast because of the fire, she looked around to find out where Bonnie was, and when she found her, she was lying on the ground, passed out with Matt by her side. shepherd's blood boiled, partially angry at herself for leaving her alone, and partially because this man has yet again dared to hurt her.
"Dr. Martin! I am so sorry for Luka. I never wanted that to happen, but at least let us help you get your daughter back." Elena implored.
"Only Elijah can do that."he answered.
"You don't need Elijah!" Elena tried to reason.
But Jonas was way beyond that point, he stoked the embers higher with his magic, trapping the remaining people into a ring of fire, when suddenly Caroline jumped at him, slamming him to the ground.
Shepherd took that opportunity to run across and get to Bonnie. She was awake but weak, so shepherd supported her up, and then guided her out of the grill, meeting Stefan and Elena outside. They got into the car, then he began driving in the direction of Elena's house. It was then when, they were a safe distance away, that he spoke,
"The plan is simple, Kathrine takes your place and kills him."Stefan explains.
"Katarina petrova? Isn't she in the tomb?" Shepherd asked, another thing to add to shit pile. Great.
"Not anymore."Elena mumbled.
"You all relay on the element of surprise, but he is an experienced witch one that is very powerful as well, if he makes it out he will kill all of you. Very easily." She explains.
"What are you suggesting we do then?" Stefan asks, taking her words seriously.
"I have an idea." She said.
Doctor Jonas Martin is going to make her do something that she didn't want to do, but it is the last time that her tries to hurt Bonnie and the others. She will have to do something about him.
Ugh!!!.
What a waste of a perfectly good cleansing mixture. He just ruined her ritual.
He will pay.
•─────⋅☾☽⋅─────•
Elena went upstairs after she got back, she entered the bathroom to wash her face, she lifted her head up, and when she looked back in the mirror she saw Jonas Martin in the reflection. In that moment Elena leaned away from him and onto the bathroom sink, giving shepherd the room to do what she was supposed to do.
"Hello Dr. Martin." Shepherd greeted, then she smashed his head with a baseball bat. Her fury raging bright. It stands in her minds eye, grinning in triumph, for having won this battle. He turned around to her, shocked. Then he lifted his hand to use his magic, but nothing happened. He looked shocked at that.
"Having trouble getting it up? It's okay, it's common in warlocks over forty." Shepherd said, her tone dripping with poison. She pulled her arms back and swung again, this time hitting him in the shoulder. He screamed in pain and then fell to his knees, she is the one that feels satisfied this time around, her mind quiet, and her breathing steady. She looks down on him with a look of disgust on her face, like he is nothing, and after today, he will be.
"How is this possible?"he choked out."what have you done to me?"
"I did to you what you tried to do to Bonnie."shepherd sneered."you more than anyone should know that it is a crime to bind a young witch's magic."
"You can't do that, you are not a witch."
"You don't need to be a witch to do runes." She smirked, leaning down to look him in the eyes. His eyes widened in fear, he opened his mouth to argue the absolute negative possibility of that happening like she expected him to, magic nerd that he is, of course he will know that she is lying, but he doesn't get to say anything about it.
"Okay that is enough, I am bored." Elena said, rolling her eyes, then she opened her mouth, filled with sharp teeth, and bites Jonas in the neck, drinking his blood. She detaches away from the mangled flesh,
"Goodbye Dr. Martin." Elena smiled, her teeth and mouth stained with blood. Much like the being within her now, grinning, teeth on full display.
that is not Elena, it was Katarina petrova, and the way she looked like her beloved friend was uncanny. Katarina looked at her and smiled softly this time, she nodded her head at shepherd and lifted her hand,
"That was good, up top!"
"Don't get familiar." Shepherd answered, looking away and at Jonas's body. she lifted her bat again and brought it down on his head once, twice, hearing the sickening crunch of bone breaking.
Rule number one to blunt force trauma to your attackers, always double tap.
She has seen way too much horror movies not to.
Katarina backed away from the splash zone, rolling her eyes,"goodness gracious, stop. He is dead."
"Can never be too sure with witches."
Stefan and Bonnie ran into the bathroom, the looked at the scene, faces twisting in shock.
"You're welcome." Katarina quipped, leaning back against the wall. Shepherd mimicked her on the opposite side of the room.
Bonnie ran and kneeled down next to his corpse, she looked at him and then at shepherd,"you didn't have to be so brutal."
"After what he did to you and Caroline? He's lucky I didn't prolong it." Shepherd scoffed."but he is witch kind, even if he strays from the path, we have to put him and his son to rest tomorrow. Just like we did grams."
"I think that would be for the best."Bonnie nodded, standing up. Already moving on from the whole thing. That kind of surprised her, because Bonnie is very compassionate, and she doesn't like hurting others.
Guess she was more torn up over the binding than shepherd thought.
Shepherd turned to Stefan,"can you keep his body and his son's body together at your house. They would need a proper burial."
"Ah, uh, sure." He answered, sounding very unsure.
"I thought you didn't like him, I mean you just bashed his brains in." Katarina questions, tilting her head to the side curiously.
"That maybe so, but he is a witch, he deserves proper rest. Besides, he died violently, we don't want him to get stuck."
"You all are a sentimental bunch." Katarina sassed.
"Not sentimental, just careful." She muttered.
Shepherd looked at his corpse again.
It is now official, she has a witch death on her conscience, and no matter how much she tries to say it is justified, it is not. She could have tried harder to reason with him, to stop him in non lethal ways. The truth is she just doesn't care. And his death is not as heavy on her mind as she predicted. It is just fascinating, how one moment someone could be alive and the other they would be not. That is the one thought that she is guilty about, that she is looking at his death with a transfixed mind. And although she should feel ashamed that she just cut a cord of life short just because she can and just because he was doing what she was doing or would have done were she in his shoes, protecting what family he has left and avenging his kin, she thinks it is appropriate that she came out on top. It is survival of the fittest.
This is not how she intended her day to end, she wasn't supposed to get violent and angry like that. Surrender to her baser urges.
She is no better than this.
It lies down now, satisfied with another name to the list. But with this one she was fine. As she said, she is not that hung up on it.
Hello everyone, I am Sondos Jad Al-Haq and I have a family of 4. I am a 24-year-old housewife who does not work. My husband, Mohammed Jad Al-Haq, is 30 years old. He had open heart surgery before the war and worked in a private medical analysis center where he holds a bachelor's degree. We had no income other than his work, which he lost due to the war. I have two sons, Ahmed, 4 years old, and Saleh, 2 years old.
During the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, we went through very difficult circumstances. We were displaced several times and lost our home, which we paid for with all our savings, due to enemy bombs shortly after our first displacement. We lost all the beautiful things that my family and I used to enjoy, and the most difficult beautiful thing we lost was security and living in peace, due to the violent bombing that surrounded us everywhere we fled to.
Our days were difficult to say the least, as there were no viable sources of work to get the money we needed to meet our needs. Our situation is tragic and we are still stuck in a tent with no healthy food, no medicine, no water, and no electricity.
During the displacement process, we lost the stable and entertaining life that I, my husband, and my children used to live. They lost all the toys they loved and played with all the time and were deprived of the beautiful childhood they lived in the first days of their childhood. My husband, who suffers all the time from fatigue, exhaustion, and displacement from one tent to another, which made us despair. We were in a beautiful house to a tent in the middle of the street with no place to sleep. I need your help in raising money to leave the Gaza Strip because of the war.
This requires me to raise $20,000 that will cover the evacuation fees and our travel and transportation expenses, and about $30,000 that will go to rebuild our house when we return, God willing, so that the total amount I need will be $50,000.
I need to raise money to restore a beautiful life and stability outside the Gaza Strip. Everything I say only reaches a small amount of the suffering we are living. This is a glimpse into the contrast between our lives before the aggression and the nightmare we are suffering now under the aggression. Thank you for your support and solidarity.

Summary: You're craving affection from the cold Elijah. When he asks you to read the names off his naked body, you can't keep your hands off him.
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x reader
Genre: Suggestive, Shirtless!Elijah, Inspired by S1 Ep 14 when Elijah has the names on his skin.
Word Count: <1k
"Y/n! Come here, quickly." Elijah yanked off his tie and threw it onto the ground.
You couldn't help but feel a flutter of delight. It had been too long since you'd heard Elijah call your name.
You rushed into the room. "I'm here, Elijah. How can I help...."
The words died on your lips when you caught sight of him.
Elijah was standing in the centre of the room. He was shirtless, holding his pale blue shirt crumpled in his hands.
You almost felt embarrassed by his nakedness, like you should turn away. But you couldn't tear your eyes from his body.
"The names marked on my flesh represent a riddle, left for me by the witch Celeste." Elijah said, voice cool. "If we figure out what they mean, we can save my siblings."
There was no "hello" or "how are you" with Elijah, even though this was the first time he'd spoken to you in days.
Your eyes traced across Elijah's naked chest. There were names scrawled all over his brown skin. You had never seen beneath the suit that Elijah wore like armour every day. What you saw was more... muscular than you were expecting.
"I need you to write down all the names marked upon me. Hurry, we do not have much time."
You stepped closer. "Why me?"
Elijah clenched his jaw, folding his arms across his chest.
His voice was curt. "I cannot read the names on my back, and I do not trust any of Marcel's imbeciles to do the job properly."
"So that's all I am to you now? One step up from a next-to-nothing daywalker? You almost loved me once." You muttered the last part under your breath, but Elijah's vampire ears caught every word.
Elijah turned to you, looking you straight in the eyes for the first time since you’d entered the room.
"I do not have time to discuss... such matters. Help me now, I implore you."
You sighed. "Fine. Let's crack this code and save some goddamn Originals."
You took Elijah's arm. His skin was surprisingly smooth, like warm butter. You gulped. You couldn't remember the last time you’d been touched.
"Adriana Malory," you whispered, tracing your finger across the cursive inked onto Elijah's forearm.
Inch by inch, you scoured Elijah’s skin, hands caressing every name.
You touched his bicep. "Anita Kaur." The slope of his shoulder. "Maria Nester." Under his collar bone. "Sophie King." Over his ribs. "Sabine Dubois."
Elijah watched silently as you read the names across his chest and back.
"We're nearly done," you said. "There's some left on your..." Your voice faltered. You gazed at the thick, taut muscles of his abdomen.
Half hidden by the belt of Elijah's trousers, one name was nestled amongst the dark coarse hair at the base of his abdomen.
"Just need to get a little closer..." You muttered. You knelt down on your knees in front of Elijah. His heart nearly stopped.
You reached out and touched his stomach, smoothing the hair to read the words.
"Emma... no, Emily..." Your mouth was dry. "I can't read the rest. Your belt..."
Elijah sucked in a breath. "Let's just get this over with." He unbuckled his belt and pulled his boxers down an inch.
You leaned closer.
"Emeliana Kirkcaldy," you said. "That's the last one."
Both you and Elijah exhaled. It was over.
Right now, Elijah was glad you weren’t a vampire. You couldn't hear his heart racing a hundred beats per minute.
"Won't you forgive me, Elijah? I only went through your diaries because I had to.” You looked up at him from your position on the floor. Your eyes, a deep shade of walnut, bore onto his. Tempting him. Taunting him.
Elijah cupped the side of your face. Your eyes slipped shut. You leant your cheek into his warm palm.
He wanted to give in, he wanted to feel your hands all over him, your lips on him. But then he remembered your betrayal, and his mouth filled with venom.
"We're done here." Elijah hissed. He sped across the room at vampire speed and whipped his shirt on.
"Wait," you called. "Take me with you, Elijah. I can help find-"
"You've done enough," he said, walking towards the door.
"Elijah!" You grabbed onto Elijah's arm and yanked him back with all your strength.
Elijah turned, staring at your hand on his arm. He couldn't help but be a little impressed that this young girl had the courage to take on an Original.
"How long are we going to be walking on eggshells around each other?" You yelled. "I've said I'm sorry! You're my only friend in this... prison that I'm forced to live in. Please, I can't bear you angry at me. I won't have it!"
You were panting, brown cheeks glowing with life. Your dark hair whipped wildly round your angular face.
Elijah sighed. "I am not angry at you."
You scoffed. "Tell that to your face."
Elijah smiled. He reached forwards and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Y/n… I owe it to my siblings to give them my undivided attention. If I allow myself to think, even for a second about... us." His words were strangled, barely above whisper. "No. I cannot."
Before you could say anything, Elijah stepped back, shrugging on his Armani suit jacket.
"Do not leave the Quarter, Y/n. It is not safe for a human.”
He sped off, too quick for your eyes to even process. Tears pricked at your eyes.
Elijah's indifference was worse than his disappointment. Something had to change.

When shepherd wakes up, she wakes to the sound of a phone ringing, she groans loudly and she covers her ears with her pillow, trying and failing to block the sound. The girls also complain and she hears a thump then Elena talking on the phone, Bonnie and Caroline yell at her to get out, shepherd just rolls her eyes and goes to the bathroom. After she washes her face, she bee lines it to the kitchen, she is feeling like a full breakfast would do the trick. Yesterday’s events were hard on Caroline and she wants to cheer her up with her favourite breakfast food. Waffles with maple syrup and fruit. She also cracks eggs to make sunny side up, and makes pancakes. She feels weirdly energetic, and she knows its because of the high she got out of the salt doing non saltish things. It was wonderful as it was horror inducing, it felt like the movie The Mist, and the way everyone just dropped like that spooked her as it intrigued her. She knows that she should feel bad that she basically used an unknown substance against people that could have gotten them killed, but all she feels is giddy excitement. Her ritual is doing things beyond her imagination, and even though she is not a witch, she is as close as it can gets, and that is enough. And she would have maybe felt sad if Stefan died. But not Damon. She also feels like today is a good day. The sun is out and the breeze coming through the window is nice. Maybe today would be a good day to start her lessons with Bonnie.
“Smells good” Bonnie says, in lieu of greeting. She comes in, bed head in full swing and rubbing her eyes.
Speak of the devil.
“Good morning, i was just thinking about you.”
“Good things?”
Shepherd stopped what she was doing and she turned to Bonnie,”today is a good day to start i feel it in my bones.” She admitted, seriously.
“Okay then let’s just eat and go to the house.” Bonnie answered. Her smile stretched wide on her face, excitement rolling off of her in waves.
Eventually, everyone else came in, and they started eating breakfast together. Elena told them of her plans of going to the lake house for a weekend getaway with Stefan, to which they teased her for it, they talked about miscellaneous things, gossiping about girls at school and laughing till their ribs hurt. Elena left, and so did Bonnie after shepherd told her too, she needed to talk to Caroline about yesterday. She feels angry, this anger of hers has been brewing since yesterday, and then it doubled when she saw the state Caroline was in, she realizes that it is of no use to dowel on that anger and a Better use of her energy is to help Caroline process, or at least not bury it.
Caroline was washing up the dishes when shepherd found her and she leaned on the kitchen counter, trying to make herself as open as possible.
“Hey bear, how are you feeling today?” She asked hesitantly.
Caroline posture stiffened then she forced herself to relax,”i am fine” she said, with the biggest forced smile on her face, her voice tight, like she was forcing the syllables to emerge and they are unwilling.
“You cant be fine after an ordeal like that, bear. Please don’t lie to me.” She says, and her mind flashes to yesterday and Elijah.
Caroline shut the tab and then turned around, she looks at her, face pinched and brows furrowed,”what do you want me to tell you, huh?" She says frustrated, horrified or a mixture of both."That i was terrified, that I thought that I would die?. I sat in that cage petrified at the thought of dying” she continues, sniffing, her eyes welling up with tears,”i was so scared shepherd” she said in the smallest voice shepherd ever heard, then she started to cry.
She feels her heart breaking.
Shepherd quickly gathered her up in her arms and started rocking her gently, they both slid to the ground and she hugged Caroline until she stopped crying and started hiccuping. Her body shaking hard with the force of her dry sobs.
“I am so sorry that you had to be in this situation, I promise you that it won’t happen again, not on my watch.” Shepherd said. She took a stray piece of Caroline’s hair and then she tucked it behind her ear,”you are so brave, you survive it. But you should never have to endure something like that. I will see to it”
She kissed her on the forehead. And then hugged her some more.

When she got to the Bennett house it was already late in the morning. She had to make a stop at her house to pick up a few things then she came straight here. She lets herself in. Bonnie has already cleared the table and lit up a few candles, so they got right into it.
“Today marks our first lesson since our contract together. And thus i feel since you are an untrained witch, you are to learn defensive magic.” Shepherd began.”what do you know about that.
”a lot. Like the aneurysm one. Oh and blowing them away seems to help.” Bonnie counted.
“That is against enemies of the vampiric kind, we will focus on that later. no i want you to learn about how to protect yourself from the attacks of other witches.”
“Is that necessary? They have been nothing but helpful to me."
“That is in the Normal circumstances, belle. Witches are servants of nature, but sometimes they serve only themselves or whichever vampire has current hold on them,” shepherd explained,”those types of witches are dangerous and they could hurt you. So today we will focus on the most common used attack, the mental invasions.”
“Like what? They try to possess me?” Bonnie wondered.
“Well yes, but it only just possession. They could invade your mind, read it, alter it, plant memories. They could also bind your magic or take it away from you you,al though in that case, its better to pretend that they succeeded, any witch capable of that is dangerously out of your current level of power.
Bonnie looked disturbed but she shook her head, on her face now a look of determination,”tell me what i should learn.”
******
It took a lot of trial and error, mostly because shepherd is incapable of doing this kind of magic and so, it’s hard to teach without demonstrating. She will have to fix that problem. Maybe if there is a group of witches with her to teach Bonnie. It would be very helpful. She filed that thought for later consideration.
They currently worked and mastered (probably) how to stop other witches from binding or taking her magic. Bonnie was a good student. She was very attentive and a fast learner. She already knew a lot about magic by teaching herself many things, shepherd thinks that even if she didn’t come back to mystic fall, if she had stayed away, Bonnie would have fared just fine on her own. They were reading a section on mental attacks, sitting on the same couch together with Bonnie legs pulled onto her lab, when she had a question.
“Can I extract information from someone without hurting them?” She asked.
“Of course you can. I wouldn’t advise it tho because you are not on the level which allows you to fight them if they decide to fight back.” Shepherd answered.”its like a channel, when you open it, it can go both ways”
“Is there a way to make them incapable of fighting back?”
“Where is this coming from.”
“I have been thinking….i want to extract whatever Luka has on Elijah and his plan. I saw it in the family grimoire but I didn’t want to do it without your help.” Bonnie said, a little unsure.
“Hmm. Good thinking. This kind of thing is very dangerous, if done wrong it could lead you into getting lost in their mind.”
“There is a way tho, right?” Bonnie asked hopeful.
“Of course there is. Not in the way you are thinking but there is a way.”
“How will we do it?”
“Well, it should go something like this.” Shepherd began.
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
Bonnie went to the grill to do her part of the plan, while shepherd stayed to do hers
She removed the carpet on the living room floor and then started to draw the ruins necessary for this spell. After that she made a circle of candles around the place where he would be laid. And waited for Bonnie to show up.
She began to think about last night and the voice she started to hear, a ritual has not gained a voice with her since she was ten, when she made a compass rite when she started becoming a Girl Scout. But all that rite did was just tell her which way she was facing right that instant. Did her haze become stronger this time around as she grew older and her demands bigger?, or did her brain sense greater danger and thus adjusted accordingly. She would think its the latter, her danger sense was always good. She sensed that there is something that will go wrong every single time and every single time she was correct. When she was young and Broke her arm, when grams got into a bad car accident, yesterday, and Henrietta. And this time around it was no different.
Then her mind wandered to Elijah, and his horrified expression when she said it was okay for her to die. She hasn't meant it, not really. But she was feeling funny in that frame of mind.
He was worried about her, she was emotionally intelligent enough to gleam that from the conversation, but he tried to pass it off as remaining faithful to his promise. She knows that's not all that is, but she is confused as to why he would care. Before yesterday, all the conversation that they had is two, when the desperate now dead vampires kidnapped her and her friend, and in that conversation she basically called him a creep. And the other when he came to her house and she basically called him a liar.
The door to the house banged open, cutting her train of thought, and through it came Bonnie and Jermey carrying an almost unconscious Luka Martin and with them Caroline. Realistically she should put an end to this, this is a kid and she was aiding in invading his mind, but she made a promise, whatever it takes to keep them safe.
“Here, lay him there.” Shepherd pointed to the place she made on the floor.
“So how does this work.” Jeremy asked.
“I will but him in a trance and ask him questions.” Bonnie answered.
“It’s like hypnosis.” shepherd added.
“Are you sure you’re strong enough for this.” He sounded concerned, cute"
“That’s what the candles are for. I will draw power from the flames.”
Caroline turns around saying she will get the matches to which Bonnie says she’s got it and lites them up with magic.
“Never gonna get used to that.” Jermey said.
“Aw come on that is pretty hot, you know it” Caroline said, smiling coyly.
“I need a bowel of water.” Bonnie smiles at Jermey and when he goes she truns to Caroline,”what was that?. It’s hot?”
“He is so crushing on you.” Caroline whispers.
“Oh my god! I cant with this today” shepherd says horrified. But they pay her no mind,
“So..?”
“So! Would you rather be with traitor warlock over here” Caroline says pointing at Luka.
“I am not into Luka, it’s just….you know he understood me and he was a new and different.”
“And you’ve known Jermey since forever and you only see him one way, as Elena’s brother.” Caroline supplied. Bonnie nodded.
“But you are a witch and i am a vampire its not like we are in any position to-”
“Be picky”Bonnie interrupted.
They laughed,”no I meant to judge.” Caroline continued. And shepherd hummed in agreement. Shepherd takes that moment to look at Caroline, she nods her head trying to convey something with her eyes, but convey what? How are you? Are you ok after getting kidnapped and tortured? How are you holding up?
Caroline seems to get it because she nods back, jerkily and tilts her head slightly to the side, in a subtle sign of 'I will be fine'
Jermey came back with the water bowl and Bonnie dipped her fingers in it and put them on Luka’s temples, then she started to chant the incantation. The candles lit up higher. He started shaking his head.
“How long is this is going to take.” Caroline asked.
“I don’t know, he is fighting me,” Bonnie answers then looks at shepherd,”what do i do?”
“The herb makes him loopy, your will is currently bigger than his own, imagine his head to be a brick wall, then start dismantling it with your magic.” Shepherd supplied. Bonnie nodded then she closed her eyes and chanted louder. And Luka stopped fighting, his eyes rolling back.
“Why are you working with Elijah?” Bonnie asked.
“Because of klaus. We both want him dead.” He answered, monotone.
“You want to kill klaus too, why?”
“Because he has her. We have to get her away from him."
“Who are you talking about”
“My sister Greta.”
“Why does he have her?”
“He is searching for away to undo the curse without the doppelgänger, he has forced generations of witches to help him for centuries.” Everyone looked disturbed at the revelation.
“What has Elijah promised you."
“If we help Elijah kill klaus, he promised to return her to us.”
“And how do you kill klaus, how do you kill an original vampire?” Luka suddenly snaps awake, gasping for breath.”he’ll kill me if i tell you, don’t make me” he begged, his tone desperate. Shepherd had to steel herself.
What ever it takes.
“It’s okay Bonnie, we can fine another way” Jermey tried, but Bonnie has the same idea as her because she refused. She concentrated and put Luka under her spell again.”how will you kill klaus?”
“After the sacrifice, klaus will be vulnerable, weak. It’s our only chance.”
Everyone stopped breathing at his response, almost in disbelief.
“After the sacrifice?” Caroline asked, faintly.
“What do you mean after?” Bonnie questioned.
“Klaus will be vulnerable” Luka answered.
“Elena will be dead."
“Yes Elena has to die.”
“No, no…” shepherd voiced.
He lied to her, she has expected it. But he said to you and yours. Did that not extend to Elena in his mind?
The rage she suppressed this morning came back full force. Her brain is reeling.
He sat with her yesterday, talked to her, talked with her at her house, she had invited him in. And now he takes what little trust she had in him and throws it away.
Elena knew and hadn’t told her.
Shepherd is surrounded by two faced bitches it seems.
