current lore for her is that she disappeared a few years pre-dance and has been just about surviving with Grey Ghost on Dragonstone since. given Bartimos Celtigar's canon views on bastards (much less female bastards with facial scarring and resulting disabilities), nobody bothered to look for her, and Grey Ghost is secretive enough that nobody else has noticed her presence.
because I love writing greyscale having actual impacts on the people afflicted: she is effectively mute (can speak, just very difficult/painful) and has difficulty eating, since she can barely open her mouth and cannot chew. she makes do with the fish Grey Ghost brings her by cutting it into thin swallow-able chunks, but girlie is not live laugh loving
i'm thinking that, thanks to her isolation, she's completely oblivious to the dance until either the sowing of the dragonseeds OR when aegon appears on sunfyre, at which point the plot happens. no clue when i'll be writing that, much less publishing it, but wanted to introduce the new kid to the class!
I really love Nico in this AU. He kind of ended up becoming his own completely different character, so in the full asoiaf version he's a different person, Noryio Ostyris. In both versions he was born in Braavos and travelled to Westeros by boat, then moved around for awhile until he ended up in Tumbleton, living under Percy's roof.
As strong as he is in canon, here it took quite a bit to get there. He was shy, clumsy, short, and couldn't seem to be able to hold a sword right. He learned to read and write both in Braavosi and in the Common Tongue, but he considered himself too slow. He helped percy with managing the harbour, but because Percy wouldn't let him go out by himself in fear that he'd get robbed or worse, nico felt useless. The only thing he was actually sure of, weirdly enough, was that he looked pretty, because people told him that often enough.
One day, he was out with Percy and Lady Annabeth. Percy went away just for a moment, and that was enough for a robber to get to them. Lady Annabeth happened to be wearing a very impractical dress, she couldn't move as quickly as she liked. Once the robber raised his knife, nico put himself in front of her. She was the lady of Tumbleton after all. The city depended on her getting back home safe. But the knife never came. Instead, the arm of the robber fell off.
Lord Felix Briar had been passing by and he quite literally disarmed the robber. And then he apologised to Nico because blood sprayed onto his shoes. Nico was smitten immediately. After a few conversations and percy shenanigans, Nico decided to leave Tumbleton and head to Rosebury with lord felix as his "apprentice librarian". Well, as his lover, but apprentice librarian sounded better. After all, an educated servant was what lord felix was actually looking for with some urgency.
Over a relatively short amount of time, Nico climbed the ranks to become Head Librarian and the tutor of the lord's children, became one of the most dangerous swordsmen in the keep and one of the most powerful demigods in westeros while being in a happy relationship with someone who supports him on everything he wants to try!
Felix is my pjo oc and he's in my ASOIAF AU as Lord of House Briar. Yes, I know a House Briar already exists in canon, but it's extinct. It doesn't matter. Get over it. His crest is black tangled thorns over red (second image) and his house words are "beware". He takes them very seriously. He's a son of a warlord from the other side of the Narrow Sea (Pjo fans, if you know you know) who got legitimised and inherited his grandfather's holdings.
He's Clarisse's brother, it's his army that she's been leading. He's also Lady Annabeth Chase's future husband, in a marriage that went from nightmarish to a lot of platonic affection. They never end up loving eachother romantically. He instead has a male lover, another character from that group that will be introduced later. So yes, this hoe of a man with bastards all the way to Dorne is sleeping with his librarian.
Felix is a terrifying fighter, known as the monster of thorns, but gets injured due to a bad decision from lady annabeth's father while trying to hand her a weapon when the army's camp got raided by Dornish forces. He uses that injury to bully poor Lord Chase out of money, lands, and anything else his lady wife might want or need.
I have developed her story so much, i'm not even kidding. She's the daughter of the lord of Tumbleton, a merchant town in the reach. She ran the commerce there very successfully, Percy had her back as the Master of the Docks, everything was fine and dandy until her stepmother decided it was time for her to marry.
Lady Annabeth wrote to a former lover of hers and they were reluctantly wed. Percy was devastated. Her husband's house has rose thorns for a sigil in a red field, hence the motifs in her clothing and the red stones in her jewels. after a hellish first year and a half, they actually started getting along. Her already frail hopes of becoming a recognised academic were gone once she became a married woman, but she built a lot of the infrastructure in her husband's land and he made sure to leave lots of records on how it was Lady Annabeth who projected them and had it built. Sometimes with little plaques next to the buildings. She married into a family obsessed with historical records, so her name and her deeds are recorded everywhere never to be forgotten. It's not being an academic, but it's the next best thing.
She's beloved by her husband's people, she runs all the trade in Rosebury, and for once, his kids don't have an evil stepmother. It's very much not the life she wanted, but the world of game of thrones is a world of tragedies. This was hers, and she learned to make the best of it as best as she could.
In the future, she becomes the one person in charge of implementing the recovery of all the Reach after the winter and the wars, as well as becoming one of the best friends of the Queen, making her one of the most powerful and influential women in the Seven Kingdoms.
I just love the idea of Clarisse as this woman who is one of the best warriors in the seven kingdoms, to the point where people have to change the rules of the tourneys when she's participating just so she doesn't kill anybody
Elaborating a bit more on the AU (and explaining the roses). Basically, Lady Clarysse Sand is the illegitimate daughter of the last lady of an extinct house and A Warlord From The Other Side Of The Narrow Sea (Allegedly. Pjo people, yall know who that is). She is from Dorne. However, one of her other siblings from Daddy's side eas legitimised and became lord, and he needed people on his side who could fight and be loyal, and yknow. There's money and a castle involved. So Daddy sends Clarysse to Bro Bro. And Bro Bro's House's crest is tangled thorns like she has on that brooch near her chest. They're rose thorns.
Now, Lady Clarysse is absolutely amazing and leads the vanguard of his army to victory every time. That makes her one of his favourite siblings and the one he's closest with. That means her budget for clothing, weapons and armor is massive, the money he gives her plus the massive amounts of cash she earns during tourneys. She might be about as rich as he is for a good amount of time. Eventually, he gives her a piece of land and a sword and she decides to revive her mother's house, which i'll probably call House Rue, but we'll see. But she spends a lot of her time making sure things run smoothly at Primrose Hall, so i might give her land there instead. That's not completely defined yet.

I Know i'm the Morro Guy but by special interests have shifted and i'm currently obsessed with bothh ASOIAF and Percy Jackson. I still LOVE Morro!!! Yes, it's glazed, hence the weird ass texture, but im not having it stolen. NO ONE GETS TO STEAL MY CLARISSE!!! MY BELOVED BUFF WOMAN IN ARMOUR. Men fear her. She loves to hear them scream when they see her.

Morro went to visit Silesia! His goal was to visit the Silesian Opera as a visitor, but he decided it was a stage grand enough that it deserved his performance! He played The Preeminent on the very famous Ballet, The Cursed Realm!
He's the best ballerina to ever play The Preeminent, critics say! He was very, very tired after, but that didn't stop him from going all the way to the Silesian Uprisings Museum!
He was a little bit too tired for proper facial expressions, but he had a very good time!
I really enjoyed the virtual tour of the museum, I'm really happy those exist nowadays! If there is a museum you want to visit but is too far away or too expensive, please check if they have virtual visits! they're Free!! @morrotober
Morro! I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I'm especially proud of the workaround for his "flesh sleeve" as some people call it, I wanted to make it seem like he's slipping in and out of being ethereal. Plus I'm a sucker for transparent bone designs.
Anyway, I wanted to finish this one quickly so that I could have it and Kur ready for my trip to Brickfair in a couple days. So I'll have these two available for those going but I won't be able to fulfill any online orders until I get back on the 6th.
