TVLine has learned that the Golden Globe-nominated Desperate Housewives alum has booked a three-episode arc as Sophia, a defense attorney who catches the attention of Jake Peralta (played by Andy Samberg) when she faces off against him in court.

Browsing through the tags, I feel like I’m seeing more sadness than anything. Yes, Brooklyn Nine-Nine did not get an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy Series and that stings, but let’s not dwell on that negativity and instead celebrate this! Andre Braugher receiving well-deserved recognition for Captain Holt is an absolutely gigantic deal in every single way!
