Never sleeping alone again

Last night I was dead tired. Exhausted. I fell asleep hard and I made sure all my lights were out and doors were locked before I crawled into bed. Everything was fine and dandy.

I was rudely awoken about 2 am in extreme pain. It felt like someone had whipped me twice on my ass. I could lay on my back. I was in tears it hurt so bad. I eventually (medicated sleep actually. Thank you meds) fall back asleep.

Well this morning my hall light was on (cue anxiety). I go through each damn room in my house with my gun. Nobody (thankfully) human. Doors still locked.

My ass is so so so sore right now. I haven’t had the courage to clean the blood off yet. No idea. I’m terrified.

You said two strikes, correct? When you decide to clean it, assuming you haven’t already, check if there’s three.

If so, you may have a demon on your hands. That sounds incredibly aggressive and I’d suggest getting professional help because if it’s that violent I don’t know if you should try a banishment unless you’re experienced in Witchcraft or other types of spiritual or paranormal practices.

The reason I don’t suggest doing a banishment is that banishments anger malicious paranormal entities. Usually, they fight back psychologically. Though I’ve heard severe cases like yours where physically they can be very angry.

Thanks for the answer! We actually moved not too long after that, and I had no physical attacks in the new house, or any after.

My dad refuses to believe in anything paranormal because I don't know why really. I choose to think that when him and his ex separated, she called something into the house they lived in. I think whatever she called was meant to torment another female (not necessarily me but like another girlfriend) who moved in. The activity started a few weeks prior to my move in day.

Now the place will only stay rented for a few months before tenants break contract and move again. Its strange because it's in an ideal neighborhood, close to a school, grocery store, doctors office, neighborhood er. And low rent. So I can only assume that what is there hates females.

a guide to exploring abandoned farms

essential supplies include: plenty of food and water, a change of socks, a hat, rope, bandaids, a knife, gloves, an acorn in your pocket, and an offering

there are always odd noises on the farm. half of them come from the animals

try to forget what the lake looks like between the hours of three and four AM

never ever find yourself alone in the milking shed in the south end of the farm. time passes differently there

if you happen to hurt yourself in your exploration, make sure you do not bleed onto the dirt

bring plenty of water, you do not want to drink from there

the cows will watch you, this is normal

close every gate you open, even if the fields are empty. don’t ever leave one open behind you, just trust me

beware unstable rocks, the cracks tend to be filled with insect nests

bring a weapon with you, but no guns

if you see someone else while exploring, never tell them your name. you can never be sure if they are real or not, and further out you go, the less real they will seem. the patupaiarehe have evolved in cruel and unusual ways

do not go inside the empty share-milkers cottages, whatever you do, do not go inside. something else lives there now

a tree with the undersides of its leaves showing mean that a storm is coming. a tree with no leaves means the storm has already come

sometimes the hills look like they’re moving. be aware of this, because some things don’t like to be disturbed

do not sleep under the full moon, in fact, just don’t sleep on the farm

finding skulls is normal, only become worried when you start finding ribs

if you find yourself lost in a forest, continue walking in a straight line until you are free again. the trees may make it look as though you are going in circles, but i promise you’re not. ignore the soft music you can hear

your phone won’t work out here

the ghosts from the land wars won’t harm you, but be sure to show them respect

don’t take anything from the farm with you when you leave. just be grateful you have made it out alive

This is labeled as New Zealand Gothic so there are a few things specific to NZ here, but I live in Michigan and let me tell you. This isn’t a joke, not is it region specific. There is a farm my father has visited since childhood that never felt right. He once saw a black mass that they don’t like to talk about. A few years ago a swarm of flies attacked his tent one morning while he was camping with a friend. That same day, he became suddenly and violently ill. He brought whatever attached itself to him back home and it didn’t leave until we did a full cleansing ritual.

Do not fuck around on farm land. Especially if you don’t know what was on that land before it.

I actually need to add to this because there’s some stuff the locals out in Missouri told me.

around dawn/dusk/twilight if you feel something behind you, don’t turn around.  Even if you are in an open field

you hear a woman crying in the woods, hope that its probably a cougar.  dont go looking for it

avoid the woods around these farmlands if you can

dont cross streams

try not to be there around the evening time.  whatever you’re feeling will get worse and might follow

if you’re religious, don’t bring any artifacts of such if you can.  crosses etc.  it can upset whatever is there.  

I dont care how pretty the rock is, don’t pick it up

avoid going in most buildings.  not just the ones listed above.  especially barns.  look in, look around, don’t physically walk in there. not only is it structurally unsafe, you don’t know whats hiding in there.  corporeal or not.

lastly, before you leave.  check your belongings and pockets and anywhere anything you can stash stuff in. chances are you will be missing something, that’s normal.  if you had something there you didn’t before.  sometimes they just happen to be there even with no recollection.  get rid of it on that land, not off of it!

Don’t forget that if you start singing and something joins in, do not look for it.

No matter what you do, do NOT attempt to communicate with spirits. They are many, they are ancient, and they are powerful.

Those flowers are beautiful but do not take one for yourself, you’re proposing a trade with the land and you will not like what it decides to take in return.

If you feel like you’re being followed, don’t turn around but walk over the cow grates half buried in the ground. This will make them stop.

And the last thing I’ve learned, whatever you do or don’t believe, these lands abide by different rules and they abhor having these rules broken.

As someone who lived on a farm in Nebraska, I can absolutely reassure you this is true and should absolutely believe it.

The farm areas work a little differently in my area, and I’m not sure if anyone has a similar area, but I’ll add to this just in case.

• Avoid the train tracks. Something is always waiting there. Whether it wants to hurt you or just wants to watch depends on its mood.

• Don’t follow the strange lights. Avoid them at all costs.

• Do NOT follow the dirt road at sunset or nighttime. The ones who wait there do not like you and are willing to do anything to get you out, including hurt you.

• If you are in a car and feel as though you are being followed, DO NOT look in the back seat. There will ABSOLUTELY be something there, and sometimes these things do not want to leave after being seen. They feed off your attention.

• If you’re being followed, get out of that area and go a but further. Maybe a lot further. They like to ensure you won’t come back. (I never learn)

• DO NOT speed to get away from something that’s following you, especially near the train tracks or on the dirt road. They will match your speed, no matter what it is. They’re trying to spook you. They’re trying to get you out of their territory. Speeding on these roads only heightens your chance of a crash.

• Try not to listen to the growling or howling. Don’t yell at it. It’s not always your dog(s). Yelling attracts it to you.

• AVOID THE FREAKING BARN. AVOID THE AREA SURROUNDING THE BARN. DO NOT MESS WITH THE BARN.

• IF YOU OPEN A GATE, S H U T . I T .

• You WILL see things. Do NOT investigate the black, hunkering figure in the distance. It disappears when you get close. It might be trying to lead you away. I don’t know enough about it yet, and I don’t want to.

• If you’re in pain for seemingly no reason, get out of that area fast. Something’s trying to hurt you.

• Don’t challenge them. They WILL win.

As someone who grew up on a farm, I learned that other farms are not the same. I felt safe on mine while I lived there. Growinf up we (my cousins and me) would talk about the strange happenings. My great grandmother would play it off though. We saw black masses. We felt like we're being followed. But it was OUR farm. So to us we weren't in danger.

Though now that the land is empty (she passed last year), the farm has taken a huge turn. The spirits that where once in the back of your mind are now in front of you.

The black mass that everyone talks about is suddenly staring at you just a few feet away. Now the land is empty. The owner is gone. And the spirits are rising.

An Update

Last August/September I agreed to marry my fiancé. He said he would ask again in a year (2018) to make sure because it was a pretty instant decision.

Over the year I had so many dreams of people talking about him, him doing things when he was younger, people who had died way before I was born, and even saw people in my room (I believe I posted about this).

And it continued up until the end of august this year and suddenly it just stopped. I haven't had any dreams about his past or the people he knew. No one has been in my room.

I told him about it, and he said that they were trying to warn me. They wanted me to leave because of how he is (a bit of a hothead and whatnot). He says ge can be really mean and whatever.

But since it's been a year and that was our argeement, that they no longer see a point in trying to convince me otherwise.

One night, I was having a terrible dream. Not sure about what anymore since it’s been a few weeks. I remember feeling like I was being watched (which is normal, I’ve been dealing with it for years, whatever). I’ve gotten use to the constant feeling when I’ve been asleep. This was the worst feeling though. 

I awoke from this horrifying dream, sat up in bed, took in my surrounds, and saw a woman walking towards me with her arm out. I have never screamed from being awoken before. The strange lady jerked her arm back, and I immediately hid under my blankets (like a tiny child I know). 

I haven’t seen her since. No idea what the hell that was. 

I don’t want to know either.

Right before I moved in with my dad he said he heard voices in the living room but no one was there. Couldn't find anyone. He still doesn't know.

So I've had things moved into the sink by themselves. I've had things go missing only to be found in strange places later. I've had plenty of little "memory lapse" things.

But one night. An ex woke me up at like midnight calling me. I was already irritated and whatnot and I was just listening to him ramble about everything. Whatever. Well half way through his rambling, I start to hear people talking in the living room. I'm home alone. My dad isn't home. There is no one at my house.

And they're talking about me. I can hear footsteps walking across the vinyl flooring onto the rug and off onto the vinyl again. These voices are saying things like

"we'll wait until she's asleep"

"She's awake right now"

"Hush"

"What was the plan"

I didnt sleep well that night.

I also now have my gun next to my bed.

My fiance has been around me for awhile. Anyone who has been around me for awhile has seen some strange things. No matter what. Everyone.

So. Yesterday we were eating and his coffee cup turned almost 45°. Just turned. Didn't slide or anything. No explanation whatsoever.

He still doesn't believe in that stuff.

It’s times when there’s nothing going on that freak me out the most.

Was everything that’s been happening just a figment of my imagination?

Were those knocks my subconsious telling me how stressed I am?

Times like this make you relax and start to think that it’s over, but no it’s not. It’s just waiting to catch you off guard. It’s waiting for the opportune moment.

So last night. . . me and friend were in the bedroom and he stops and pulls the blankets over and me and I'm like "dude what's wrong?" He's just staring at the door and he's just like "I heard something out there." I'm like whatever it's probably the upstairs neighbors because they're loud as fuck all the time, and we've been drinking so whatever. I'm not worried And then like 10 minutes later I glance over at the door because I thought the cat was watching us. I start getting chills because I feel eyes on me. I watch the door open more (was slightly open) and fucking close almost completely. No fucking A/C can open and close a door like that. So I make him go look around. He goes through every room. Takes seriously 10 minutes in this tiny apartment. Nothing. I'm out. We're calling a priest.

I went to take a nap at 3 yesterday and set an alarm for 2 hours. I woke up at 9 and was upset because I slept for 6 hours! Well I got up and got ready for bed and then crashed at 10:30. I got up at 5:30 and went to start my day. Why not post some new pictures of my art online? Hell yeah! I open up my camera roll. 4 new pictures I've never seen before. After looking through them, I learned that they were all taken in my room at 6:07 PM. What. The. Fuck. This is the most creepy thing that has happened because it was so close to me. So close. This house has been hell from the start but it's getting closer. Any suggestions?

I have a “this is some sixpencee shit” story…

In 2013 i moved into a house built in the 1890’s. I stayed in the butlers room, which had a hidden trapdoor that led to a secret staircase to the kitchen. Weird shit always happened to me in that house, including hearing voices and footsteps when no one was home, having lights and appliances turned on by themselves, and even occasional apparitions.

One night, I was laying in bed and my phone rang from an unlisted number. I answered it, and it sounded like a pocket dial. After a minute or two of listening, i hear someone pick up the phone, but their voice sounded distant…

“Hello?” said the voice, “who is this?”

“Who is this?” I replied. “You called me!”

It turns out, the person on the other line was a childhood friend of over 15 years. We had both, simultaneously received calls from one another, but neither of us dialed. Someone – or something – got us on the phone together.

And someone – or something – was listening.

Yesterday a co-worker opened our department at 5 am. She was putting down chairs and heard a thud against the wall beside her. She looked up and there was a handprint. Near the very top. Now this was wall is about 15-18th feet tall. So she decided to ignore it and continue on. She later told us about it. And the handprint was still there though only viewable from the side. You couldn't look straight on at it.
