New Year

Every First of January it occurs,

Popping out of my mind like a hibernating bear:

Ravenous for knowledge, productivity, promise

A desire to learn. An itch to open every tome

And gorge on all I missed out on the years prior,

A list not of resolutions but of references.

The cave wall smattered in names and subjects,

I wish to absorb it all into me;

on the wall, it will mostly remain, washed away by overwork

I will forget all of these things in 7 days time,

and another 358 days will pass

in a capitalistic hibernation.

New Side Blog Who Dis

Howdy! A quick introduction so people don't assume this is a bot (can you even report a sideblog? Would it report the main blog too? Huh.)

ANYWHO HelloPoetry has potentially gone under and I am panicking because I have finally gotten back into writing, even made a pen pal through it (Elijah if you see this follow me) , and now have nowhere to effectively post my work! So I decided to make a sideblog solely for poetry: reblogging other people's, sharing prompts, sharing my own work, so on and so forth.

I'm Den! 32, sadly residing in Florida and hoping to change that, and have been writing for ages. My main blog is Tampon-on-the-Sidewalk which I basically just reblog whatever I feel on that one.

I might write some flash fiction and short stories as well, maybe even share my fanfiction if ever I can force myself to finish it, but we'll see as it goes, shall we?
