That day – October 31st, 1981 – marked the end of Voldemort’s reign and of the First Wizarding War. It also began his second life. This time, he choose to do things a bit differently. He was Harry Potter, a former Dark Lord.

I Guess This Means We’re Going Places: When Billy comes back to Hawkins, he doesn't have a home, so he sits by the side of the road and just waits. And that’s where Steve found him, on a patrol for monsters that are long since gone, huddled in the dark. Their relationship is important and that’s that. Like seriously the amount of crap these boys have been through!! I love the fact that through this fic they both have someone who cares enough to tell them that they are important, because I think we, as humans, need that every once in a while.

Ship Of Theseus: When Harry gets amnesia and forgets he and Draco were ever married, he refuses treatment to remember. Harry James Potter what, in the name of the lord, do you think you’re doing?? Honestly these boys have too much angst for one life time but hey ho I’m sure everything will work out! Anyways great oneshot that made me want to punch several fictional characters - definitely worth a read.

After the mindflayer incident (where Billy obviously didn’t die, what are you even talking about??), Billy and Steve form a bond over their shared affection for Max and Will. Oh and slight implied homophobia warning for Will’s father all though nothing is explicitly said.

Elevator Love Song: Ugh the comedy was on point. Should I be reading this fic right now? Probably not. Should I be doing my textiles coursework? Probably yes. Do I regret reading this fic? Definitely not. This fic is just so sweet and beautiful and I love it and it will brighten up your day by an immeasurable amount. I don’t really know what else to say.

Nothing Compares: H is forced to take an unexpected trip to New York when M goes missing. Being the person who knows her best, and knows how to follow any clues she may have left behind, O calls him in, where he finds himself working with one half of the most memorable duo in the New York office’s history. Ugh, Henry is so soft for Molly and nothing can convince me otherwise - even J knows it!!

HOGWARTS AU ~ DRACO MALFOY REDEMPTION ARC ~ TIMETRAVEL ~ 223K ~ ONGOING

The Mirror Of Ecidyrue: Gay. Moving on, Draco Malfoy is so goddamn precious - like I don’t even know why but I just love his character development in this fic!! It’s probably because I’m a sucker for redemption arcs (I mean Zuko anyone??). Basically after the war Draco discovers the Mirror Of Ecidyrue in his cellar and, after violently smashing it, wakes up in his eleven year old body, in the red loop. Originally determined to act the exact same and ensure Voldemort’s demise, gradually things begin to change as he opens his heart to slightly more red-and-gold people than his typical acquaintances.

Fake It: When a member of the Klytonian royal family becomes overly interested in M, some quick thinking lands her with the ‘boyfriend experience’. Luckily (or perhaps unfortunately) for her, her partner is more than happy to play her fake boyfriend for one night. What could possibly go wrong? A short and sweet fluffy fic that made me smile :)

MARAUDER ERA ~ JP/LE ~ 739K ~ ONGOING

Commentarius: Lily Evans has always considered herself ordinary. But as she enters her 7th-Year, things start changing and Lily starts going a bit mad. Suddenly she's Head Girl, her friends are acting strangely, and there's a new James Potter that she can't seem to get rid of. Based on the writing style of Meg Cabot's "The Princess Diaries" series. Okay so warning there’s only 32 chapters, the last one ends on a cliffhanger and the fic hasn’t been updated since 2013. I finished it last night and promptly cried in frustration for maybe an hour. Regardless the writing style is bloody hilarious and Lily is humanised so much! I feel before I didn’t really appreciate her as much because my interpretation was a very perfect, straight A student. However this style of writing allows the reader to understand the doubts and conflicting emotions that Lily feels at all points. Honestly the fic is amazing I just wish it was still going :(

REINCARNATION AU ~ HP/TRJ(V) ~ ONGOING ~ 121K ~

The Red Cobblestone Road: Some people hate this ship, some people love this ship- personally I think it just depends how it’s executed and this fic is amazing. Death is perfect parts sassy and strange. I love watching their inner turmoil as they come to grip with their emotions... does that make me sound weird? Anyways this fic contains cats and I would die for every single one of them; especially the OG Moon Moon.

Authenticity (And The Road To Getting There): So uh yearning. Lots of gay yearning. Basically Robin and Steve move into a crappy apartment together and one day Steve wakes up with a large scar on his chest, from his soulmate. Incidentally, this is also the same day Billy wakes up from a long coma and is quickly adopted by the Byers family. In conclusion, be prepared for several chapters of gay yearning and a pregnancy scare (I’ll let you figure out how that’s going to slot in).

DARK MAIN TRIO ~ ONGOING ~ 161.8K ~ ANGST ~ THREE BOOKS

The Dark Trio: you ever wondered what would happen if Harry ended up in Slytherin? Well this collection might answer a few of your questions! It is unfortunately incomplete but the story so far is gripping. The fic is a full-on AU so I found it a bit hard to understand the world at first but by the end of the first chapter I had a clearer grasp. In the fic I really loved the differences between Daniel and Dark!Harry but also the Canon!Harry. I just found that really interesting :)

Percy And The Weasleys And Oliver Wood: Enemies to friends to lovers to perfection *chef’s kiss* cannon compliant I guess- I mean JK never said they weren’t in love. Anyways I stumbled across this pairing on Pinterest, became enamoured, and then read as much fanfiction as I could get my hands on. This is one of my favourites because it is totally conceiveable (that’s a big word jorja. sure you know what it means? not really) that this could occur!

From The Library Of June Williams: let’s get one thing straight... this fic is bloody brilliant! I am in love with June; like forget Sirius babe, marry me instead! This book inspired my hopeless romantic heart to start a journal in the hopes that one day some one would fall in love with me through it; obviously by day three I had already spilled too many secrets so that’s NOT going to happen but the sentiment is still there. Basically this book is adorable and you should 100% read it, especially if you’re a book worm like June :)
