Sometimes diagnosing characters is fun, but other times i have zero interest in it, because no cocktail of neuroses could come close to whatever the fuck the character actually has going on. Like most of Curt's actions are nicely explained by a mix of adhd, depression and ptsd. That's clean, that's beautiful, that's interesting to get into, it really enriches your perception of him. Owen on the other hand is like that because he's from London and is a scorpio

Thinking about this like. I think most people who watch the show can understand the betrayal Owen felt when Curt left him for dead after the fall, which was his fault in the first place. But also the betrayal Curt must've felt when he realized Owen was quite literally in the process of destroying everything they held sacred together? All their intricate rituals revolved around secrecy and spying. Curt realizing that their years of careful planning and learned routines meant nothing to Owen anymore (even if they did, he just wouldn't say it) must've been heartbreaking. He must've felt like the man he knew truly was dead, like Owen said. And the result of being forced to keep each other so secret, so at arm's length their whole relationship was that in the end Curt believed what Owen was saying, not realizing how much pain he was in and how much he was fighting with himself, and Owen believed Curt wouldn't kill him to save the world and their secret. They knew and loved each other more than anyone, but still not enough in the end.

Oh boy. I think she has many. I think she'd never open up about the specifics of her life in the kgb. She told Curt that she murdered a lot of people, but I think even she can't face it all.

"I killed without emotion, evil deeds unspoken, sometimes I still hear them scream" clearly as a kid she was conditioned to mentally distance herself from the violence, but her walls are breaking down. I think that's why it was so important for her to have someone like Curt, someone she can trust with at least a fraction of what she's done. Because she believes that Curt has a good heart, and if he can accept her, then surely a new, better, safer life is possible, despite her past.

But in her new life she has to hide everything. Not only would she not casually meet people who are okay with murder, but trying to compensate for her lack of a childhood would be extremely difficult.
