i think i might forever mourn the eddie diaz storyline we could have gotten. eddie, wracked with catholic guilt, slowly coming to terms with his feelings for buck with the help of bobby. it could have been SO GOOD.

i often find myself wondering what the people in charge of executive decisions at abc (or any other network for that matter) talk about in their meetings. do they sit around their table and cackle like witches while coming up with new ways to screw the audience over?

are they all genuinely so out of touch? why make fun of fans who keep your show alive? is there seriously not a single person who could’ve stopped tim minear from going through with this?

these people seem to hate their jobs so much. and not just their jobs, but the characters they write about as well. how do you have one of the coolest jobs in the world and then treat it like such an immense chore? you have the opportunity to make people happy when they tune into youd show after an exhausting day, but you choose to make fun of them instead.

if you don’t want to keep working on the same show, move on to something else and let this one unfold naturally with another person at the wheel??

obviously their main priority is money, but i can’t see how anyone at abc thought killing bobby off would be profitable for the show.

and the ratings prove my point. i could maybe understand if this was their last season and they wanted to go out with a bang, even if it was a negative one. because yes, people have been talking about the show lately, but i don’t think that secured many new viewers for future seasons. who’d want to start an 8 season show that just killed off their main character in a way that made no sense?

so not only was this blatant disrespect of your fans, it was also a stupid business decison generally.

literally can’t think of a worse way to run a show into the ground. having a character survive a rebar through his skull but now all of a sudden we care about realism… saying you are realistically portraying first responders in your show is an insult to first responders.

bobby could’ve retired and it still would have shifted the dynamic immensely so what was the point of all this.

those actors should’ve threatened to quit if t*m minear went through with this lmaoo
