Much the same as the initial impression, but now he also feels protective of Orion. He had good memories of the one he knew in his own past.

Soundwave is uncomfortable admitting it, but yes. Orion had always been a pretty much, now and in the past. It had always been an after thought though. He had been too focused on Megatron at the time to pay much notice.
