can you understand the world simulation's code around you? like, if you look an apple, could you tell what code was written to create said apple? or does your world not use code?

Excellent question! In our every day lives, we don't see the code that makes up this world. However, if we choose to enter what father calls 'debugging', then we are able to see the individual parts of the world, and all the properties and scripts attributed to it.

If I looked at an apple while debugging, I can see the properties first and foremost. Its velocity, its grade, the chemical compositions, any physical units that can be attributed to it. If I want to look at the code that supports a property of the apple, then I may select that at my will. On average, an ordinary food item like an apple has... fifty scripts, give or take.

When it comes to The World Machine's codes, a lot of it is generalized. Father wanted the code to act similarly to the laws of physics, in the sense that instead of making specific codes for each item, the objects are simply obeying guidelines.

To answer your question however, they have been part of the Old World too. When father created The World Machine, he knew one of the obstacles was that no languages in the Old World would work.

So, instead of setting a preset language for The World Machine, he instead created what we call 'universal expressions'. I am currently communicating in a series of abstract expressions and signs, and these 'lingual abstractions' are collapsed into a language that you are currently using on your computer, while interacting with The World Machine.

That's why The World Machine have localizations!

I don't have a specific favourite food, but I find anything with umami to be really delicious.

So, anything with me usually goes for me! Though, when I'm often food hunting, they do get cold and harden themselves, so it's less delicious.

How do you feel about the way there seem to be secrets everywhere? Are you worried about what you may uncover?

Everyone around us holds secrets. It's a natural trait for us to be secretive, even for people who boast about themselves. But, there are horrors in the world that others have kept for themselves, and I... I have did my part in ensuring that. The history of the Old World, as you know it, is sterilized. You don't exactly know the details, right? It's... not as simple as it sounded. The World Machine was a long and arduous project, and father isn't the man you know him to be. For him, The World Machine was more than just an archive. He wanted to tell a story that earnestly mirrored the reality of the world, without realizing how close-minded it was.

...I couldn't blame anybody, though. Everybody had good intentions, but they were conflicting. In the end, The World Machine as it is right now is a compromise between them and their creators. What's left unexplained, can only be passed on to you. What do you interpret the world as?
