Trubel privately wishing Nick and Juliette were back together and then having overwhelming guilt over feeling that way since sheās not their family and doesnāt think she has a right to want something from them.
So she starts isolating and making them both feel like she doesnāt want them around anymore because of everything thatās happened
Who would you pair Juliette with if she and Nick were either never more than roommates or had parted amicably in the first season?
I have three answers for this actually so pick your fav
the first one that I think is the most on brand for me is Rosalee. I think they had a really cute special bond and Rosalee being the person aside from Nick whoās kindof at the center of the āJuliette betrays everyoneā plotline makes them really easy to translate into canon- Rosalee thinking that she and Juliette had something special only for Juliette to betray them all and try to kill her close friends is great angst, and it only makes it even more painful if they had feelings for eachother.
They recover their friendship in the end and I think they can have a big dramatic āgetting back togetherā kiss as a treat
I actually talk about rosliette with this same concept in this nickroe post here
This is what my mom has to say about Rosliette btw I love her
My second option is Hank, theyāre already close and Juliette/Hank/Nick have a very friends-that-flirt-with-eachother thing going in at the start of the show and I think they could easily move into actual flirting if Juliette was single and thereās no hard feelings from Nick. This is probably the most standard story here and would be very similar to Monroe and Rosalee getting together at the same time, I think in this plot line Renard would have Adalind would originally go for Nick instead of going for Hank initially and that would butterfly into a bunch of different things. I canāt see why Juliette would get hexenbiest-ed here but if she did I would say itās similar to the rosliette plotline where her and Hank get back together in the end
Juliette and Hank would be remarkably stable imo, theyād both be normal humans whoāre close friends with Nick and probably parallel Monrosalee. Both couples would represent parts of his life, and Nadalind would easily be his endgame here.
Juliette and Hank I can see being a very romantic couple together- Hank is a pretty romantic guy despite his bad luck in love, and theyād have a lot of very loving and well thought out dates. Lots of teasing, donāt think theyād want kids but probably wouldnāt freak out if there was an accidental pregnancy. Nice and sweet couple.
Completely on the other end of the spectrum my third pick is Adalind. If youāve ever seen my #adalette tag you know I love them as a terrible heated situationship who just canāt seem to get away from eachother. The wanting to kill eachother is foreplay guys trust me
My mom says that she wished Renard wasnāt so āflip floppyā he and Juliette were hot together so thatās also on the table (Julietteās her fav so I asked her opinion as well)
The Grimm cast reunion panel from SDCC is on YouTube (the channel name is Films That Rock)!! Plus a little 18 minute interview thing with them on Verity events' channel!
I never saw this IM SO SORRY but thank you for telling me I will absolutely be watching
Nadalind if we hurl canon into the sun and do it right instead
Here we go itās nadalind time, Disaster duo of the century, canon crackship central, enemies to lovers I fucking guess
I actually think theyāre originally set up fine! Adalind being Nickās first woge? Great start! Really strong! Red strings of fate or whatever! I really like the reveal that she was scared shitless upon seeing him for the first time. I can tell you that watching the show with no context on who Adalind is vs full context makes season one feel WILDLY different and you just feel bad for her most of it.
Iām gonna be going into sexual assault here so skip the next section if you just wanna read silly fun ship stuff
āāā
The most glaring issue I and I believe others have with Nadalind is the rape & rape baby plotline. Grimm suffers from that eraās idea of āif it happens to men itās not that bad/itās not sexual assaultā and I donāt think I need to explain to this crowd why thatās awful.
I can apply some cognitive dissonance when engaging with stuff about the show and Nadalind to be able to see them how the creators actually wanted me too, like they clearly arenāt writing Adalind with the idea that sheās a rapist or Nick with the idea that heās a victim, but itās still a gross writing decision imo. I understand the intimacy of the characterās using sex as warfare and that being a big breaking point for Julinick but it colors Adalind in a very disgusting light that doesnāt get fully acknowledged.
The only person who ever outright states that Adalind took advantage of Nick from my memory is Juliette in the comics
I really think Adalindās characterās saving grace here IS that both times she commits rape in the show sheās being taken advantage of by a man in higher power to her and basically being pimped out and blackmailed/manipulated to do it, so sheās not absolved from being a victim in this situation as well- but it doesnāt clear her and I can fully understand someone who canāt enjoy her character and her ending up with Nick after those actions. I very much hated it at first too.
Nick is harassed multiple times in the show and it treats it as showcasing his desirability as the male main character, while treating his obvious discomfort as a moral standing of his (trying to show him as āhaving restraintā in comparison to someone like Renard) but it really just reads as a guy being sexually harassed and it not being taken seriously.
I would remove the rape plotline entirely if I wanted Nadalind to work tbh, I despise cheating stories but I genuinely would rather take a āwe mutually fucked upā cheating plotline than this even if I think itās insanely out if character for Nick to cheat.
I would have Adalind take Nickās powers in another way, maybe she attacks him about it and gets her blood in him similarly to how he did to her- and we can keep Juliette needing to turn into Adalind to change him back through sleeping together because A) it keeps the intensity of sex being used as warfare (showing the wesen world has infiltrated every part of Nick and Julietteās life, which I do think is important to her later breakdown) and B) itās actually consensual
Itās still weird and messy but no one is getting tricked into sex.
āāā
OKAY that part over. I like their banter and how easily Adalind gets under Nickās skin in a way that other characters donāt seem to, she irks the hell out of him and itās worse because he finds her really attractive. Keep all that itās great and very funny. I would just keep it for when theyāre living together too- no baby Kelly, just Adalind desperate and alone and being hunted down by hexenjuliette. Nick, despite his better judgement lets her stay with him because sheās so sad and pathetic right now.
Instantly they piss each other off, iām talking day one they find something dumb to argue about. Im throwing out their āmom and dad softly fall in loveā plot and making their flirting angry and heated and full of crazy sexual tension. Adalind falls first and is SO pissed about it but is absolutely doing the most to get Nickās attention whenever she can. Everyone asks him why he puts up with it and he just brushes it off because heās also so fucking mad about how much he likes her
They make each other laugh (begrudgingly) and like the same shows (begrudgingly) and make each other food (begrudgingly) and Adalind actually gets along really well with his friends (begrudgingly) and goddamnit. Goddamnit theyāre so into each other.
I think they get into a really heated argument one day about their past and things that happened and itās just so much emotion that they both rush into a kiss, and itās really wild and desperate and theyāre both so confused about everything theyāre feeling but this feels so right for now so they end up falling into bed for the most insane sex of either of their lives
They wake up the next morning completely avoiding eye contact before Adalind grabs his phone while itās ringing and INSISTS they talk about it before he runs off. They donāt really know what to make of this relationship at first but they had a good time last night and they actually really like spending time together.
I like to imagine thereās kindof Parallel moments with Trubel and Diana involved, Trubel is severely injured after Nick gets her home from the hospital and Adalind isnāt exactly sure how Trubel will feel about her, but she knows Nick is freaking out and doesnāt want to make things worse by not getting along with his apprentice, so she makes an effort like in the show to get to know her.
Nick catches Adalind one day hanging out with Trubel and taking care of one of her wounds and it gives him a very surprising warm feeling that he hasnāt had in a long time. Keeping the scene where Trubel very bluntly asks Adalind if sheās in love with Nick and Adalind short circuits.
Later down the line, once they finally get Diana back Adalind comes home to Nick playing with her and making her laugh and she stands in the doorway to watch with that same warm feeling. Diana also clocks pretty quickly that her mom is in love with this guy.
šTrubel Diana sisters propaganda oooooš
Nick and post redemption Adalind both feel a lotttt of a guilt about Juliette, and itās holding them both back from really committing to each other. Itās easier for Nick to rationalize being mad at Juliette himself (especially during the Eve time) but Adalind canāt really say that anything between her and Juliette was Julietteās fault (because it wasnāt) and they have to have a very serious post-Eve heart to heart in order for both of them to get closure. Juliette seems to be of the mindset that she wants to move on and also holds guilt for what sheās done in the past, so while itās going to take a while for them to fully be comfortable with each other and with Nadalind being together theyāre making an effort. They tend to hold off on being coupley around Juliette on instinct still though.
Nick and Adalind do NOT get married. traditionally. Both of them have such negative imagery of traditional marriage surrounding their characters it would be insane to have them end up married. They do have baby Kelly eventually once theyāre established though, and heās a spoiled ass baby for sure.
Seanās relationship to the both of them remains largely the same. One thing I would like to add is that they possibly bond over being groomed by him in one way or another, he took advantage of and manipulated both of these younger people for their abilities, he positioned himself as a trustworthy authority figure in both of their lives and and I think itās a shame that their paralleled relationships to him were never explored. Sean is a good dad to Diana when heās around but I think Nick definitely happily takes on a lot of parenting work with her
Nadalind had a lot of stuff going for it that I can get behind, it needed more time to marinate though and as it was probably shouldnāt have been endgame with the characters acting like they were so insanely in love- as they are they feel more codependent then anything, but it is what it is and I donāt hate nadalind or the ending! This is how Iād rewrite them probably :D
Okay just did rosanick and nickroe now for peak polyamory
I know we werenāt to this point as a society yet where the endgame for a show like Grimm could be a polyamorous couple featuring two men but GOD I WISH
The three of them are just in love by the end of the show itās just so real. Both Nick and Rosalee fall first and very loudly for Monroeās autistic swag and then later on quietly and softly fall for each other too. Au where they donāt consider sunglasses on the wedding day so Nick canāt make it so they call it off during the ceremony because it feels wrong without Nick up there with them, and they go home and have to think about why they both felt so viscerally about Nickās presence at the alter
I think the three of them are all very doting on eachother, Monroeās probably the most physically affectionate but Rosalee is close behind him, leading to Nick getting squished randomly when theyāre annoyed that heās off in detective land not paying attention to them
Nick is still waking them up at 3am for some bullshit but the only difference is heās in the bed and not on the phone. Itās so much worse no one ever sleeps in this house.
They like to do things together but also have their own time individually/time for one on one stuff, I feel like they would struggle at first with rosanick both feeling like third wheels and wondering if the other likes Monroe more than them- but I think after Monroe goes out of his way to set up dorky individual dates for the two of them they start getting equally as comfortable with each other romantically and the three feel more like a unit.
Fun fact, foxes are one of the many animals whoās litters can have multiple fathers. Imagine the triplets are born and theyāre intentionally not sure if Nick or Monroe is the biological father so they donāt worry about it and just all promise to love their kids equally- but whoops oneās a blutbad, ones a fuchsbau, and oneās a grimm! The fuchsbau is still kindof ambiguous but theyāre pretty sure about the other two. Also the grimm is a daughter so she manifests early and they have to do shenanigans to deal with their three weird overpowered kids, and sheās the one they name Kelly because she has that jet black hair and piercing eyes.
I think one thing about Monrosanick thatās a bit tragic is Juliette, I canāt see a world where she doesnāt feel stung a little bit by the three of them ending up together- in her perspective it would be such a blow to have her world upturned by the wesen world and basically have her sanity destroyed only for her three closest people to move on without her. I think Eve would be ignoring her feelings and blaming Juliette for ruining her own life like normal, and post-eve would be scrambling to try and even figure out how she feels at all- and ultimately landing on the same goal of dedicating her life to helping people with her newfound powers.
Whoās to say though, maybe Monrosanick entice her back in like a stray cat and three becomes four. ALWAYS bet on mass grimm cast polycule
Being back the wesen can turn fully into animals concept, I love the idea of Nick getting a fucking break and getting to cuddle with his fuzzy animal wife husband and kids. Wolf!Monroe probably licks him equally out of cuteness aggression and to intentionally gross him out, Fox!Rosalee gets in on this unless the kids are watching
Monrosalee probably have their own more peaceful quiet time together while their dumbass boyfriend is off doing his job. They love him and wouldnāt change anything but heās not exactly the calmest guy ever, heās always thinking about something or getting a crazy phone call or just finding reasons to be stressed generally- and they take the moments where theyāre not dealing with that for themselves. They just kinda roll their eyes and say āwhat happened now Nickā when he bursts in the door yelling about the demons that took Trubel and the bridge trolls ravaging a nearby village or whatever
Trailer dates where they read about each other to tease each other
Everyone having their own instincts and rituals and behaviors, and they all have to realize that Nick is NOT exempt from that. There was a guy from Rosaleeās past that seriously hurt her and wound up back in Portland, and one day Nick finds himself hunting him down with the intention of showing off his corpse to Rosalee before he stops himself and questions why the fuck heās doing this, and she would absolutely not like this. Turns out a Grimm courting behavior is presenting your partner(s) with the heads of their enemies. Lovely. Monroe thinks he shouldāve gone through with the kill.
I meannn what can I say, I love me some Nickroe, itās like the most popular noncanon ship for a reason- they are SO fun to play around with
I have a lot of stuff in my #nickroe tag already but Iām happy to talk about them more here >:D
Nick is SO into Monroe itās seriously crazy how nearly canon it feels during season1, and how it almost feels like during the shows runtime it switches to Monroe being the one who has a thing for Nick while Nick is just kinda dead inside
Their dynamic starting out as Nick being this wet behind the ears grimm whoās constantly badgering Monroe for one reason or another and Monroe begrudgingly helping him out is so funny and so cute, and Monroe getting attached to Nick because he provides him with fulfillment in his life is great. They love eachother so much, and even if one of them (usually Nick) is being a butthead they still just have this connection and inherent trust that keeps them together
I think they have a similar thing to what I mentioned in my rosanick post where Monroe thinks Nick is cute and wants to help him at first but seriously falls for Nick more as he watches him mature
They have really silly banter and some of their best moments are them being dumb & dumber together, trying to hide things from other people or just diving headfirst into a plan without thinking it through properly
I really believe in Monroe being Nickās bisexual awakening but Nick not really thinking it through that much. Nick just gets slammed into the wall by this hot older werewolf man and his brain gets mushy, and just like that heās spending the rest of his life making excuses to go see Monroe
Itās so funny to me how Nickroe auās always apply like a littttle bit of omegaverse logic just because Monroeās already a blutbad, we can get some nonsense wolf instincts as a treatā¤ļø I eat up shit like scenting and claiming and pack instincts and all that
Theyāre both hunters and hunted to each other and itās sooo juicy, like werewolf x werewolf hunter is such a CLASSIC, good food thank you.
One very specific au I think about sometimes is Nick being a little bit crazy possessive/yandere over Monroe without even realizing he had feelings for him and it was so good. Monroe realizes it before he does and has to grapple with this just born eldritch being being obsessed with him
I can see them both wanting a family still (especially Nick), if Rosalee or Adalind donāt want to be a surrogate then theyād probably adopt with Nickās track record.
Ive talked abt them at length before so I donāt have tooo much to add but Nickroe is my fav monogamous ship in grimm and probably always will be
Oh I adore them :D Thereās unavoidably a lot of Monroe also mentioned ahead so sorry in advance LMAO, Iām assuming you meant this as a romantic pair so thats what iām focusing on
Personally I donāt really see them as falling in love on their own without Monroe involved, but I think in a monrosanick situation they would absolutely be adorable if that makes sense? Like in the canon show I canāt see either of them getting together and wanting to exclude Monroe from that, (I think they both develop feelings for Monroe first and each other later) even if I donāt necessarily subscribe to the idea that Monroe would be the ācenterā of that relationship
If iām focusing specifically on Nick and Rosalee as a romantic pairing on their own I think I would do something where Nick starts off the show infatuated with Monroe and what he represents for Nick as a sort of guide to this exciting new life of his, and Nick slowly realizes that he doesnāt actually have feelings for Monroe and put him on a pedestal (which leads to some early character growth for Nick) and Monroe and Rosalee bonded really only as friends, and he starts working at the spice shop with her out of a desire to just stop being a hermit.
Rosalee and Nick have pretty much the same bonding experience and become really close, she falls for the sad boy puppy eyes etc but Nick is still trying to make things work out with Juliette and Rosalee thinks Nick is a bit too immature for her when they first meet.
plus despite Nick being comfortable with his wesen friends heās not really thinking about the idea of having romantic feelings for one, this goes with any Nick/wesen pairing tbh like I think he needs to overcome some inherent bias and immerse himself fully in the wesen world + stop trying to hold on to his old normal life, and thats where Julietteās betrayal comes in.
Nickās world is shattered by Juliette getting his mom killed and torching the trailer, and heās pretty much gone comatose. He has his whole mental deterioration, and Rosalee as close friend (and tbh the only person around right now who will absolutely not be a yes-man to Nick) is worried about him. Sheās not married and thinking about starting a family here so her priorities are different and sheās allowing herself to be a bit more aggressive and throwing herself into all the craziness.
HW Takes Juliette & Trubel and Nick is losing his mind + is stuck with pregnant Adalind, who nobody trusts. Rosaleeās been staying in a boring apartment this whole time that sheās really not attached to so to keep her friend from completely snapping she insists on moving in with him for a bit. Nick appreciates this a lot and they grow closer. They both form a tenuous friendship with Adalind, who actually ends up being the first person who notices their feelings for each other.
Nick and Rosalee probably both have a lot of conflicting feelings about falling for a Grimm/Wesen but both are relatively progressive and their bond is so deep that they absolutely overcome it.
Fuchsbau are naturally very beautiful in woge and I honestly think if Nick is in love with someone he would end up finding them attractive no matter what, so he really digs the fox face. I think Rosaleeās āinterestā in Monroeās protective violent side would translate here and she would be sooo into her man chopping heads off for her, especially if he doesnāt like doing it normally and is only doing it for her specifically.
One thing about them as a solo pairing is that I think they would only work after Nick has hit his more matured personality later in the show, heās already younger than her and she would not be romantically into someone she feels like she has to mother, even though I think Nick would totally be into her acting motherly but thatās his issues. He fell first deeeeefinitely, but he didnāt let himself realize it until he accepted Juliette wasnāt coming back.
Someone Rosalee would absolutely continue momming is Trubel, if she and Nick were endgame? Thatās their BABY oh my god. Sheās also a very fun and very loving stepmom with both Kelly & Diana, she never wants Diana to feel excluded since thatās Kellyās sister but it takes her a little bit to be fully comfortable with her.
I think theyād be a couple that banters constantly, lighthearted teasing and poking and throwing pillows at one another all the time. Itās disgusting like get a room
Theyāre both pretty strong minded but Rosalee is very healed from her past trauma and almost always handles interpersonal conflicts with grace and confidence in the show, Nick is less stable but would want to be āgood enough for herā and when not thrown into the most absurd situation imaginable is pretty good at open communication with his partner. The only time I could see them having a huge blow out fight would be if Nick is hiding something huge from Rosalee to protect her, she would not deal with that shit and it could get ugly if neither of them back down.
Theyāre both still insanely close to Monroe, tbh itās probably just the same dynamic but reversed where itās the couple showing up at Monroeās house constantly and waking him up at 2am.
Overall theyāre cute, I could see a rewrite of the show focusing on them and enjoying that
Give me a sec I have some posts talking about their platonic relationship that I can link here:
No actually if anyoneās listening send me asks about ur fav grimm pairings (can be romantic, familial, platonic, secret evil fourth thing) so I can read and write about them pls, literally anything allowed
I could never do one of those āfandom ship chartsā for grimm because all the pairings for me are very context based or I like them for different reasons, Iād have like 10 paragraphs for each pairing explaining my exact thoughts and it would just be a mess
I could never do one of those āfandom ship chartsā for grimm because all the pairings for me are very context based or I like them for different reasons, Iād have like 10 paragraphs for each pairing explaining my exact thoughts and it would just be a mess
Nickās first priority when turning into Renard was to fuck with Hank and his second priority was to gas himself up on national television heās so funny for that
Adalind with Diana breaks my heart like thats her baby girl and no matter what will never be able to protect her. It probably makes her compare herself to her own mom who never even tried to protect her
Should be sleeping but just thinking about Juliette and Trubel things for the millionth like their relationship is so weird and sad and I have lots and lots of headcanons so Iām just gonna dump stuff here until im satisfied
Juliette still has no idea that the reason Trubel didnāt say goodbye to her the first time was because of how painful it was for her to leave Juliette SPECIFICALLY like Juliette has no clue how much she impacted Trubel on such a different level than Nick did
Like Trubel absolutely loves and prioritizes Nick itās unquestionable but I donāt think the type of relationship she has to Nick is comparable to the type of relationship she has with Juliette (especially post canon) and Trubel has such a specific special place in her heart for Juliette and Juliette has no idea and is just wracked with self loathing and such a āwhats done is doneā mindset at the ending that she probably doesnāt even let herself consider how much Trubel sees her as just as much an important piece of her family as Nick.
Trubel even says in the comics āYOU and NICK are the closest thing iāve ever had to familyā like the idea of Trubel not even considering comparing the two but Juliette assuming that sheāll always be second to Nick is so LEJFJNSD
And its SO FUCKED UPPP because Julietteās walls being up in this way is the same kind of mindset Trubel had when they first met her
I think that Juliette connecting with Trubel so closely (as another woman especially) really stuck with her and was so important to Trubel in a lot of ways, a very big sister energy that was probably so special and irreplaceable for her.
Just little things like that scene of Trubel being all doom and gloom and very buried in her own insecurities and Juliette just kinda goes āokay cool so anyways you need clothes, weāre going shopping!ā Felt like exactly what Trubel needed at the time, Nick was someone who could understand her on a very deep level but Juliette was someone who could clock her spiraling and drag her out of the darkness for a bit and help her feel normal and both of those things probably meant the world to herrr
Juliette coming out of her Eve era and Trubel being there to support her and trying to make her feel better like Juliette used to make her feel better
I think post canon Trubel probably moved in with Nick and Adalind for a little while (this is absolutely because im biased for Trubel living with Nick and I think Nick likes the idea of having as many loved ones as he can reasonably convince to live where he can watch out for them) but she flits around a lot, she can get her own place but she has her own room at Nadalindās and sheās in and out of the city enough to not justify moving out <- Nickās words
She probably gets closer with Adalind, they get along fine when thereās no reason for them to be beefing and I think theyād actually enjoy eachotherās kinda dry sense of humor. Adalind who spent her life being forced to mask in order to live gets to interact with ānever masked a day in her lifeā autistic Trubel and she weirdly admires it.
One day in the spice shop Juliette seeing Nick, Adalind, and Trubel all getting along and hanging out and with the two kids there they really all just look like a family, it kinda hits her in her heart in a way that she hasnāt fully processed. Sheās found her purpose and she doesnāt regret leaving anymore- but god seeing another woman, THAT other woman, being so casual and affectionate with both Nick and Trubel together reopens some unexplored feelings. Itās a confusing bitterness and guilt and longing swirling together and she just canāt handle it super well, so she leaves rather abruptly with some excuse about forgetting something outside
Trubelās been hypersensitive to Juliette/Eveās emotional shifts ever since s6 and follows her outside, she finds Juliette practicing some sort of spell on some flowers sheās aimlessly floating around. Juliette avoids eye contact and tries to keep a detached tone when she tells her she needed some quiet to practice. Trubel shuffles up to sit on a low branch and just says āI can be quietā. Juliette gives her a little half smile and they both just watch the flowers float around in a comfortable silence.
The story is similar- expect for a lot of changes /joke
Minor ABO
In this AU, Nick is still a cop and Monroe is still a clock worker but with a dangerous secret. Nick is a Wesen of a strange nature- known to others as a Domesticated Wesen. Domesticated Wesen often donāt show signs of Wesen ancestry until later in life but in Nickās case, he was a VERY late bloomer due to suppressants
(Read more)
Due to his mother (Wesen) messing around with a Grimm Hunter, the father (Grimm) dying to the Wesen Council and the mother going on a killing spree against them in revenge before vanishing - not before leaving her half- blood son to her full-blooded sister (Infamous Grimm Killer)
Marie hid Nick away as best she could, never allowing him out on fully moon nights and insisting he takes a medicine without ever disclosing what it did (scent blockers). He was lightly informed about the world they lived in but never fully allows to interact - until he ran off and joined the police force down the years , met and moved in with Juliette (human), met Rosalee (wesen) through her who continued to provide him with scent blockers, met Hank (Human) and Wu (Lycan(Aswang)) ā
The first meeting with Monroe when inspecting the nearby area of the crime scene for new leads, Nick saw Monroe grabbing his mail and felt an itching and minor burning of his skin. Later on, Nick decides to sneak off-working-hours to scope out Monroeās home for suspicious activity/behaviours only to get jumped by the Grimm
In the suddenness, Nick acts on instinct and woges out with Monroe immediately trying to deescalate the situation. Seeing a woged out Domesticated Blutbad, the Grimm invites Nick in for a brew
Knowing all the tricks, Monroe chats with Nick as they share a brew on his couch, sharing with Nick that heās a RETIRED Grimm + a runaway from his family ābusinessā
He spends some time talking with the younger man and answering all questions until Nick was finally relaxed enough to undo his appearance
(No Hulda, Marie, or Trailer)
With that Monroe sent Nick on his way only to be interrupted mid-dinner by him knocking on the door who was insistent on getting more answers for both life and the case heās working on!
So, Monroe in his stupidness decides to take up mentoring the (cute) Blutbad by having Nick stick his head out the window and learn the differentiate scents till they can find their target ā
āI can't guarantee what'll happen if I go any closer. It's too dangerous. I might be on your side. . . But there's nothing more I can do. I'm out of hereāā with this the retired Grimm leaves the scene

As time goes on, Nick continues to bother Monroe at his house and call him at all hours and in return Nick gets punished with tests to hone the Domestic Blutbadās skills. Nicks entrusted with a special key to a trailer hidden in the woods filled to the brim with information about wesen and weapons and drugs to counter them
Nick is such a tumblr bait character like heās a handsome morally conflicted loverboy shithead with two adopted daughters + a baby, romantic chemistry with his entire main cast, hype moments and aura, and life keeps repeatedly punching him in the face. Literally like finding a secret perfectly curated diamond in the most niche fandom ever for 2026
(From the window of a a creepy white van) heyyy kids I got a bisexual girldad murderer in here⦠just get a little closerā¦
