I’m going to pretend that I’m not going feral for Grimm after starting to rewatch it, and that I’m definitely not slightly distressed by the lack of active fandom this show has.
Monroe and Rosalee have an appointment for a boudoir photo shoot. Nick thought he'd just be giving them a ride over since Monroe's car broke down, but they're not sure how long the session will go, so why doesn't he come in and watch? Before he knows it, Nick's been pulled in to participate...
I feel like every Grimmster has a head cannon about Monroe and Rosalee's triplets; I'm no different!
About Freddie, Jules, and Felix.
(These bios are subject to change. This draft has been written directly into the text box, so most of this is off-the-cuff and rough representations. This is more a practice in defining than an actual definition of who they are. More of an outline, I guess.)
I know, I know. They're all named after dead people. Bear with me because it gets tropier. What can I say, I'm derivative!
None of them are identical, so none of them really look alike. Though Freddie and Felix looked a lot more similar when they were babies, their body types and colorings differentiate them as children and young adults.
Freddie
Nonbinary (They/them)
Named after Rosalee's brother, Freddie is a pretty social person. Though they have a lot of anxieties, they are very good at deflecting them. (Sometimes to their detriment.) They're tall and a little gangly with broad shoulders.
Their hair isn't red, but brassy, a sort of auburn. And, as with all the family, they are very freckly. Their eyes are brown and wide.
In present time, Freddie hasn't started identifying as nonbinary, yet. Or perhaps they are just starting to question it now, being that they would be 8 years old at the time of writing this. But as they grow up, they'll begin to realize several parts of their identity don't align with being one gender.
In respect to their name, they will ultimately decide Fred or Freddie do fit who they are as nicknames, but they change their full name to Winifred. Before making this decision, they will experiment with other names. This will be a lot for Rosalee and Monroe to take in. They are loving and accepting people, but shaking tradition and cultural upbringing will still cause some temporary rifts and conflict.
Ultimately, both of them will be reminded of their own upbringings and how distanced they felt from their families when rigidity was held above acceptance or understanding.
Of the siblings, Freddie takes to clock and watch repair the most. They are the most likely to carry on Monroe's business.
Woge: Freddie's woge happens much later than their siblings. For a while, Monroe and Rosalee consider the possibility that Freddie isn't going to be Wesen. It isn't unheard of. Dominant and Recessive genes for Wesen and non-Wesen exist. They fret about how to handle raising a kehrseite in a Wesen house and fear Freddie feeling left out or disconnected from the rest of the family.
When they are 19, they finally have their first woge as a result of a traumatic situation where they are the only one who can protect their family. Their Wesen form is a dark rusty-color Fuchsbau
Personality: Freddie is a peace-keeper and pacifist. They want everyone to get along. They are very good at communicating and have a drive to help facilitate communication. They are very much a people-pleaser, but also extremely outspoken. They have a very strong value system and though they are mostly a follower, they have a stubborn streak and protective instinct if they're pushed too far. They can also be extremely sassy and argumentative, especially with their sister, who knows all of their buttons and what order to push them.
Jules
Female (She/her)
Jules' name was inspired by Eve's previous identity as Juliette. When choosing her name, both Monroe and Rosalee were very careful to seek consent from both Nick and Eve, expressing how much Juliette's memory meant to them. There was little hesitation to agree to the honoring of Juliette's memory. Though it did give Eve pause and gratitude to know the person she used to be wasn't completely sullied by her Hexenbeist transformation.
Jules is the second tallest of her siblings (Freddie being the tallest). She has the largest body-type as well. Though she is obviously bullied in a society who perceives fatter women as unwanted, she is fiercely stubborn in her confidence for herself. Her family's love, both blood and not, help her to keep that confidence.
She has red hair and more freckles than probably anyone else in her immediate family. Her eyes are hooded and dark green-hazel.
Her soul is that of a hunter and someone of action. She initially wants to work in the police force one day with Nick, though she ultimately becomes disillusioned with law enforcement. She will eventually become a firefighter after waffling between trade school, random stints in construction, and volunteer work.
Woge: Jules woges first of her siblings. She is only 12 at the time. With her dominating personality, an early woge is expected but also nerve-wracking for Monroe and Rosalee. They fear a lack of control. While there are some instances of unsettling outbursts, Jules' support system and a Wesen therapist keep them to a minimum while she learns balance.
Her Wesen form is a tawny-color Blutbad. None were surprised.
Personality: Jules is fiercely protective. The entire family is inherently protective, but Jules expresses this trait the most, even more than her papa.
This trait comes out the most when her siblings are involved. She's big and not afraid to use her physicality to take someone down.
She is also impulsive, which leads her to seem less intelligent, acting from instinct first and thought later. But as she matures, her cleverness develops more substantially; she might not be book smart, but she is quick on her feet and extremely intuitive.
She is also extremely loving. She feels everything very strongly, as most Blutbaden do. Because of the support she has received throughout her life, she is able to express her emotions without shame. She easily follows the steps of Monroe's Wieder lifestyle.
Felix
Male (he/him)
Monroe's Uncle Felix played a huge role in his life as a kid visiting his mother's family in Germany. So, it made all the sense in the world to name one of his children after him.
Felix is the shortest sibling and the smallest. He has thick, dark hair and large brown eyes. In Wesen circles, he's made fun of as the runt of the litter. Jules is quick to correct whoever insults Felix in a very direct manner.
Felix is neurodivergent, diagnosed with Autism at a very young age. As such, he has experienced confusion and bullying from many and has had frustration understanding the world around him in the same ways everyone else seems to do naturally.
As he grows, he will develop a sense of humor about his situation. He will embrace an attitude of self-deprecation in addition to a wicked comedic timing, which will be very beneficial in disarming those around him as a way to control social situations. But it will be an uphill battle until that epiphany occurs. He will rely a lot on his siblings and other members of his family and extended non-blood family to guide him towards managing his overwhelm and panic healthily.
Woge: In every way Felix seems to be different, his woge comes at a completely average time for a male canid Wesen. When he's 16 he woges at a small startle. For the first time in his life, though, he feels in control and not at all overwhelmed. It's the calmest first woge Monroe or Rosalee have ever seen. Felix brushes it off, simply stating, "Oh, so that's what it feels like." He shrugs. "Cool."
Felix's Wesen form is a silver-tone Fuchsbau.
Personality: Felix will often roll his eyes at the fact that he seems to fit the trope of the highly intelligent Autistic person. He's learned to be pragmatic to deal with aspects of the world around him that confuse and overwhelm him. That pragmatism as a tool of social survival has assisted his ability to pick up rote knowledge easier.
Despite what most might assume of someone who eschews unpredictability and the chaos, Felix loves making art more than anything. His favorite medium is paint, though he is very good at digital art as well. He prefers being able to feel the art as he's doing it and is constantly exploring different mediums. Anything tactile in which his hands are stimulated is something he immediately enjoys.
Rosalee believes it's because of investing in art therapy that Felix was so drawn to the practice, but it's possible Felix has always been someone attracted to the idea of creation.
Felix is also a writer. He specifically loves writing fanfiction. He gets very invested in shows, books, and movies. Any fantasy world has the potential to cause hyperfixation.
He's prone to becoming nonverbal or disassociating until his nervous system is able to rebalance itself.
(More will be added about his Autistic tendencies as I learn more about presenting someone who has Autism truly and not pathologizing him. I want his personality to speak first and his Autism to be a part of his identity, but not something that wholly defines him and his actions.)
There will possibly be edits of this or stories that completely negate these bios. This is just to give me a jumping off point to build their personalities and stories.
WTF, did you actually read this whole thing? Damn. Here's a cookie.
