This is an anti-despair checkpoint! You must share something you're looking forward to before scrolling on.
Genuinely surprised to see this from Jamie p and super glad as well. I feel like it's become such a pattern of seeing white queer creators casually say some racist shit or something to come out and then never properly apologize.
So seeing Jamie Paige be outright "No fuck y'all stupid racist white teens, she'd rather stop making music catering to you than let you make a fool of her art" is incredibly refreshing and makes me glad that to be a fan of hers and feel both seen and comfortably safe knowing that for once someone has the decency not to be a racist piece of shit!
Also go listen to Slayr right now! I remember hearing a couple of his songs before, and liking all of them, and this one is no different. Honestly I hope we get to see more hip-hop sampling and remixes of vocaloid music because its so so cool and wish it was done more often.
And hey this is also directed at all you fuck ass "rap is overstimulating" idiots on Tumblr too!
Something else I think is important to add to this post as well :]
A bit more self explanatory, but I'm glad he's confident to state it for the people in the back that Vocaloid isn't just a white people thing. It's a bit bittersweet to me in a sense that a lot of black creators online feel the need to hide themselves, but I definitely understand (I'm guilty of this sometime too the way Tumblr acts sometimes) but I'm glad to see that people are being more openly anti racist for once and I hope this trend doesn't stop.
Also I know it's already his most popular song, but it is such a banger too, go listen to this and the rest of his vocaloid music too!
Important addition requested by prev
pisses me off how white people can make a post about racism or antiblackness and it easily hits 20k notes but if black people do it, it hits like 300 max
while I'm at it we really do need to be nicer to fat trans girls
Especially fat black trans girls.
ive got my ticket for the long way round
Why have i been so intensely depressed lately? I dont want to do anything.

btw this is laerte. She is 73 now! Making art and being happy! It's never too late to transition
I think there can be a lot of pressure to give the right narrative about yourself. "I was always a girl, I always knew it from the bottom of my soul," that kind of thing. I didn't. I was a little boy, I wasn't thinking about that stuff. I was thinking about Legos and making sandcastles. And sure my parents raised their eyebrows when my favorite shows as a kid were Winx Club, Totally Spies and My Life as a Teenage Robot. But that little boy didn't think watching those shows made her a girl. She didn't think struggling to fit in with other boys her age meant she was a girl. And she didn't think being jealous of girls was a strange way to feel. She just thought she was bad at being a boy. Because kids are often kinda dumb. So yeah that little boy eventually became a woman. But she didn't figure the whole gender thing out until she was 20. And until then, she spent a lot of years being a dumbass boy and then a dumbass teenage guy. That's a lot of time to do stupid shit. A lot of things to wake up cringing about. But I think that's fine, y'know. Everybody's cringing at something. What matters is figuring it out... eventually. That boy did her best, that's what counts.
When I was a little boy, girls used to just do random cartwheels for no reason. Then one day, they stopped. Now that I am a man, no women randomly do cartwheels. This is because society is evil and killed the cartwheel impulse in their soul. They don't even spin horizontally anymore. It's fucked up.
It's so awesome cool and progressive that the second result of looking up a trans woman on this site is a dedicated hate blog that specifically states "DNI if you defend this trans woman"
But it's okay guys, they put a sign saying "don't harass the tranny! Just let me collect all the reasons that she is unforgivable in one place :)"
It is incredibly telling that there isnt a massive anti-oneyplays fandom despite Smiling Friends being an equally popular show among tumblr queers and those guys actually doing everything gooseworx has been accused of and more "She joked about being the next Shadman!" wow that's crazy. Chris O'Neil housed Shadman and actively defended all the vile shit he did on twitter, including lolicon of real actual children. Why is nobody talking about this. Where is the anti oneyplays fan club. Or anti GameGrumps. Or (and this is a hot one) anti Dropout. Why is there only a hate club for the tranny. Why are the hate clubs only ever for the trannies? But of course, "DNI if you make it about her being trans, thats totally not why she became our target"
I would appreciate it if people reblogged this version that specifically calls out that none of the cis men in the same industry are held to the same standard even when they've done worse, continue to do worse and have not shown any sign of changing or regretting their past actions besides "I stopped saying the n word because people would get mad at me" and not because it's racist.
For god's sake the same people that deride Gooseworx on every social media site will sometimes straight up have Max "hotdiggitydemon" "Steven Jewniverse" "Steven N***averse" "Sans from Undertale calls Papyrus the nword" "Still actively racist" Gilardy profile pics with zero self reflection. And I'm supposed to take anything ever said about "holding trans women accountable " seriously? Gimme a break
I mentioned Kanye and Kendrick in a post, and now my entire For You page is hip-hop aesthetic posts. Safes full of money and half-naked women, etc.
I'm right back where I was 20 years ago, except I've got billy woods and Moor Mother now.
I know a dead culture when I see one.
When are we going to have the conversation that "the culture" is just a white supremacist way to pacify black people with capitalistic signifiers?
Did Kendrick ever open his mouth about the Super Bowl protester?
Why not?
What's the quote? First, you get the "revolutionary" addicted to money and the lifestyle that comes with it. Then, you threaten to take it away when their revolutionary traits pop up.
Performative Blackness, worshipping an aesthetic.
I saw a reel on Instagram last week that said, black queer autistics, please stop sacrificing yourself for niggas who would never do the same for you, and stop letting them gaslight you into feeling bad for needing to protect yourself from them.
Besides my mother, this has been the biggest struggle of my life.
I remember all those gay jokes from The Chappelle show. All my middle school friends emulating rappers who have human trafficking allegations now.
Dealing with racism while also having to deal with the calls coming from inside the house.
does anyone else ever casually listen to music without really paying attention then slowly realize the lyrics are describing exactly what youre doing in that moment with bizzare personal details thrown in
last night at the club i literally could not stop checking myself out in every mirror and window because i kept just seeing a dyke. i don't think i saw a guy even once. lately i feel like i found a billion dollars on the sidewalk
it feels like i finally became myself and also a completely different person
one weird thing about the boys is that it fucking loves portraying the antagonists as freaky kinksters whereas all the heroes are like. really tame. about sex. and the things they like. fuck you wheres my main character scat fetishist
in the first season there's a bar where superheroes do hookups with their superpowers and it's portrayed as like, this bit of (slightly harmless) sexual depravity (moreso a hypocrisy between public and private personas) but the main characters are never shown to get sexy even to that fairly tame degree unless an antagonist is doing it to them
