Cleansing Spray
Let’s face it. Not everyone likes to burn a bundle of herbs to clear there space. There’s the hassle of trying to avoid burning yourself with your cheap lighter, you get ashes and embers everywhere, and, well, not everyone likes the pungent smell of burning sage or rosemary or whatever.
I know there’s plenty of posts going around saying you can just use water and salt to cleanse your space, and yeah, that’s totally true!! It’ll work just fine, but sometimes you just want something with a little more punch.
Which is why I created this spray What you’ll need:
Purified water (for the base of the spray)
A little rain water (for cleansing properties)
Rosemary (for cleansing, protection)
Sage (for cleansing)
Peppermint (for energy, prosperity, abundance)
Lavender (for stress relief, peace)
Salt (whatever kind you have will work)
Essential oil (whatever you want)
A colander or something to strain the water with
A pot
A stove to boil the water and herb mixture
An empty, clean spray bottle
What to do:
Begin by prepping your area. I made sure I had all of my ingredients laid out, turned on some relaxing music, and lit my working candle. Prepare your herbs by washing them and gently patting them dry if they’re fresh. If they’re not fresh, measure out how much you need.
Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat up to medium-high. Add your purified water and a splash of rain water. You only need enough to fill your bottle. I started off by adding some Himalayan pink salt (I associate it with love and protection). You don’t want to add too much salt if you plan on using this mixture to put on your walls or furniture. Add each herb into the mixture and bring to a boil.
While the heat is rising and the energy in the water is increasing, focus on your intent and charge the water. Once it begins to boil, take it off of the heat and let steep until the water is cool. At this point, I stood over the mixture and stirred in some of my personal power symbols. If you don’t have any of those or a sigil you’d like to use, simply stir clockwise to promote good feelings or counter-clockwise to banish negativity. It’s totally whatever you prefer.
Once it’s cooled down, strain the water and add to your bottle. You want to make sure it’s nice and cool so you don’t warp the plastic or let the plastic seep into the water. Now you can add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil and you’re done!
How to use:
For a quick cleansing effect, simply spray the area that needs cleansing and notice an immediate boost in the energy around you. Need to strengthen your wards? Spray this on your doors and windows and visualize it coating the entire surface, creating a barrier between your home and outside surfaces.
Spray this in your carpet before vacuuming to get rid of whatever might be sticking in those pesky fibers!
The possibilities are endless!!

Planetary Pumpkin Bread
You will need:
(Regular Ingredients)
1 large egg
½ cup light brown sugar, packed
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup coconut (or olive) oil
¼ cup light sour cream
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
A pinch of salt
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
(Witchy Ingredients)
1 cup pumpkin purée
2 tsps vanilla extract
2 tsps cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
(Optional Ingredients)
1 cup chocolate chips
1 bar (8 oz) cream cheese
2 tbsps sugar
½ cup milk
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Butter/grease one 9x5 loaf pan and sprinkle with a little extra sugar.
2. In a large bowl combine egg, pumpkin, brown sugar, regular/white sugar, oil, sour cream, vanilla, and all the spices. Whisk or beat with an electric mixer until homogeneous.
3. In a separated bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Fold this dry mixture into the big bowl containing all the wet ingredients. Mix and fold gently until thoroughly combined. At this point you can add the chocolate chips if you want chocolate chip pumpkin bread!
4. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake for about 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. If you want cream cheese pumpkin bread, put half your batter into the loaf pan and, in a separate bowl, combine 2 tbsps sugar, milk, and cream cheese and mix until smooth. Pour this over the half of your batter in the loaf pan and top with your remaining pumpkin bread batter. Bake for the same amount of time!
What correspondences do our Witchy ingredients have?
Pumpkin - Associated with lunar deities, primarily used in spells for granting wishes, prosperity, good tidings, and protection.
Vanilla - Happiness, peace, sensuality, and love. Vanilla is primarily used in love potions whether they be for a significant other or to enhance self-love.
Cinnamon - Common in elemental fire magick and has a strong association w/ the sun. Great for meditation and personal protection.
Nutmeg - Another great spice for Fire elementals. Use to ward off evil, for good luck, or to keep disease and sickness at bay.
Notes/Tips:
• It can be hard to find cans of pumpkin purée that give you exactly one cup. The can usually contains more, so it might be worth doubling the recipe for two loaves to use up all that extra pumpkin!
• Vegans - replace the egg with ¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce! The sour cream can be replaced with plain coconut yogurt in a 1:1 ratio (or any other type of vegan yogurt).
• Gluten free - replace the flour with almond flour! 1:1 ratio. The loaf will not rise as much and may be denser but scrumptious nonetheless!
• I’ve gotten a few comments about my use of coconut oil! You don’t have to use coconut oil, it’s just my personal preference. Olive, canola, or vegetable oil will work just as well!

Anti-anxiety Shower Spell
Let’s face it. Sometimes our fear of failure and anxiety can get the best of us even when we think we’re prepared for whatever happens. That’s why I created this spell to help stay calm before major events.
This spell is great to do before a large presentation for school or work, a job interview, or any other event where you need to be calm and collected.
What you’ll need:
A small cloth bag, empty tea bag, or cheese cloth
Eucalyptus
Citrine
Lavender
Orange zest
What to do:
Gather your ingredients and place them in your bag. If you’re using tea cloth, place the items in the center of the bag and tie it closed with a cord or ribbon of your choice. Once you’ve got all of your herbs in place, charge them with your intent! Hold them in your hands and imagine your energy flowing into them to waken their properties. Eucalyptus to repel negative thoughts and protect against them coming back, citrine to enhance the cleansing, lavender to stay relaxed and tranquil, and orange zest to restore a sense of well-being and joy.
When you can feel their energy thrumming in your hands, go into the bathroom and tie the bag to your shower head so that the hot water and steam will release the oils into the air. Shower like normal. Wash your hair, scrub down your body, make sure you get yourself squeaky clean, and then let the hot water ground and center you. Feel the water hitting the top of your head and trickling down to the tips of your toes. Imagine your anxiety like a thick, black tar covering your skin and only the water can wash it away. While envisioning this, you can chant or think this:
Flowing waters clean and clear Rid me please of all my fears Wash the dread right down the drain So calm and steady I’ll remain. Cleanse my body, cleanse my mind Leave my anxieties henceforth behind. This is my will, this is my power To release trepidation in this shower.
Repeat the chant until you feel ready to conquer whatever the day holds! For an added boost, keep the citrine in your pocket and rub it if those pesky thoughts come back. Hope you all enjoy this!
