Persephone hanging out with the puppies at night.
I made this tarot cheat sheet after being inspired on tiktok <3 I hope this can help anyone who needs it!
The witch experience is just
“Oh shit is it the full moon today”
“What do you mean the sabbat is tomorrow?”
“Did I miss the new moon again?”
“I forgot what day the solstice is, wait it’s today???”
“I need to this at exactly midnight, 1am already??”

Cleansing simmer pot for Imbolc
adjusted from: thewholesomewitch.com
This is the very first actual ritual I did. I have been learning for a good 2 years now but I have never performed magick since it never felt right. But this time it did. I celebrate Imbolc early because I don't have much time during the weekdays, so I had my little celebration the weekend before :)
Materials:
a small pot
3 lemon slices (I didn't want to waste any so I used 4)
for love, purification, longevity, and friendship.
2tbsp lavender (I added some more later for good measure because it just smelled so good)
for happiness, peace, protection, purification, and sleep.
2tbsp chamomile flowers (I used 'expired' calming tea that had chamomile in it)
for sleep, peace, love and purification
1 tbsp rosemary and 1 tbsp vanilla extract
for healing, love, protection and purification
Instructions:
The most important thing is to think about what you want to achieve with this simmer pot. I really wanted to clear the house from any negative energy and entities, to clear the house from any anger or sadness we've had the past year and to fill the house with a clean positive and calming energy. Keep this in your mind.
Fill the pot with water (I just filled it to half because I wasn't sure how long it would take to cook down), and mindfully add your ingredients. Bring it to a boil.
Once boiling, lower the heat to a simmer. Stir clockwise to bring in positive energy (good health, prosperity, love, happiness and peace) and counter clockwise to banish the misunderstandings, miscommunications, arguments etcetera. Recite some words, I just used the ones from thewholesomewitch: ‘I cleanse this place in time and space. Negativity I set you free. As my will, so mote it be.’
Take a deep loving breath in, and another loving breath out. Feel your lungs filling with this new positive energy and visualize the negative going up up and away with the steam. Keep chanting, visualizing and stirring until it feels right to stop.
Leave the pot simmering until there is only a centimeter or so of water left and turn it off. Your ritual is complete.
My results
First of all the smell was absolutely amazing, I am definitely going to be doing more simmer pots. Maybe even instead of incense. We have a small home so incense can get overpowering very easily plus we also have pets, simmer pots are a much safer option for me.
Second, my family was quite stressed and angry this day. Lots of pressure from other family and friends rested on our shoulders but the moment the simmer pot was done it felt so much lighter. We even just fell asleep on the couch so calm and at ease haha
10 easy & subtle ways to celebrate Mabon
For my little closeted witches and pagans out there
1. SUN WATER!!! Charge it! Hoard it!! Mabon is the celebration of the sun, take advantage of that and use it to its fullest! (how to make sun water right here: X)
2. Try to cook something! People usually start baking autumn foods around Mabon like pie, poultry, bread or fluffy desserts. Anything you know will get you cozy and full
3. Take some time to reflect on the gifts nature grants us, give words to your gratefulness!
3. Keep the first acorn you see as a good luck charm! I’ve been doing it for years, it’s just a fun little habit to pick up
4. Doodle some pentacles everywhere: they’re a pretty popular symbol of Mabon! They’re easy to draw and they don’t have to be big or easy to spot.
5. Try a little apple spell like this one X
6. Make a bonfire! Invite some friends or family over and share some good ol wine. Spend time outside before the air gets too chilly!
7. Buy a new type of tea, something that’s adapted to the changing season! I recommend lemongrass, ginger, chamomile or chai tea.
8. If you can’t decorate, collect a few fallen leaves! Get a little bit of nature inside your house.
9. The veil is thinning! Light a candle for a loved one who passed/a spirit and spare a thought for them.
10: Self-heal: take a good bath, dress thick and warm, maybe pour yourself a mug of chocolate or a cup of cider, whatever your comfort drink is. Anything to let you completely disconnect with your daily stress. No matter what goes on in your life, the Earth is still spinning. The seasons still follow one another as they always have. Nature is a constant on which we can rely on, just like the sun and the moon. Mabon is all about finding balance so before pondering the balance of the universe, try to find the balance in yourself.
I love this artwork, it belongs to @paperwitchco 🎃
Hi, witches.
Many people made comments similar to this: “cute, but pls remember that if you aren't native american, you shouldn't be calling smoke cleanses smudging! also, you shouldn't be using white sage because it's going extinct and native peoples need white sage in order to use it for their ceremonies !! witchcraft is a beautiful thing but we need to be respectful of other cultures whilst practicing it ”which makes me very sad, because as my first language is not English, for me it does not have a different meaning, so I did not realize that with this post I was disrespecting the native communities, I’m really sorry. Also, because of my allergies, I don't usually burn anything, but if you do, please do your research so as not to damage ecosystems. ♥️

The Pink Moon
(Photo credit: Kenrick Mills on Unsplash)
Growth is bursting forth as April arrives not long after the Spring Equinox. Everything is green in April, and the moon is pink. Well, not quite.
April’s full moon is often called the Pink Moon since it occurs around the same time pink phlox bloom in North America, but this moon (also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, Fish Moon, Hare Moon, and Egg Moon) is typically moon-colored.
What does it represent?
The Pink Moon arrives in time for flowers, and as the bees buzz around your garden looking for the best pollen, you should also be on a journey of discovery. As the moon’s other names suggest, there is a lot going on in the world. Rabbits and other animals are breezing, the grass is springing up, and aquatic life is returning with the warming weather.
Correspondence cheat sheet: Action, Balance, Beginnings, Discovery, Growth, Opportunity
Herbs, Flowers, and More
Here are some herbs, flowers, colors, and symbols to use in your Pink Moon spellwork:
Herbs: Basil, Chives, Dragon’s Blood, Dandelion Root, Dill, Fennel, Milkweed
Flowers: Daisies, Dandelions Lilacs, Geraniums, Phlox, Sweet Peas
Colors: Red, Royal Blue, Yellow
Crystals: Angelite, Diamond, Garnet, Quartz, Ruby, Selenite
Spells and Rituals
Make Moon Water
An obvious choice for every full moon, make some moon water and label it with the Pink Moon’s correspondences to use when you need it later.
Make a Bee Bath
The Pink Moon is a great time for personal discovery, but it is also kind to help some of our important friends on their own journeys! Use a shallow dish or plant saucer and fill it with flat stones. Then add just enough water so that it reaches the edges of the stones, leaving a place for the bees to safely stand while they hydrate. For a little extra magic, use moon water to fill your bee baths!
Make Sigils for Your Goals
It’s time to take action! The Pink Moon is not idle, so if possible, you shouldn’t be either. Use this moon’s energy to get to work on your passions! (You could use this energy for chores, too, but I like to focus on inspiration.) On a small piece of paper create a sigil for something you want to work on. Once the sigil has been created focus on it, imbuing it with your intentions for that goal or task. Then fold the piece of paper in half toward you until it is too small to fold anymore. Then burn it, bury it, hide it, or otherwise activate is as you please and get to work!
Journal
What questions are emerging as the seasons change and new things grow around you? How are you already tending to the goals you set at the beginning of the year? What seeds have you planted that you didn’t water or act upon? Write about these potential sources of growth and discovery.
🌙 Don’t pass up on the energy offered by this moon! The Pink Moon provides the perfect guiding light for new activities and motivational energy for fulfilling old goals. Take advantage of this extra spring in your step!

Cleansing Morning Simmering Potpourri
This morning I opened all the windows and made a cleansing simmer potpourri to clean and refresh my home with new energy!
Here is what I did -
Open the windows and sliding doors to let the breeze in.
Get a small pot ready on the stove
Add 1 - 2 cups base liquid - usually purified or distilled water
Add bruised/crushed herbs - I used 1 TBSP lavender for cleansing and peace
Add essential oils and/or larger items - I used the peel of ½ pink grapefruit, for cleansing, self love and energy, and I added ½ tsp of pure vanilla extract for peace and happiness
Bring to a simmer then lower the heat then as low as it goes while still being on
Enjoy the simmering potpourri while cleaning, dusting, or helping your house in some way.
Keep an eye on the pot. When almost all the liquid has evaporated turn off the stove and remove from heat.
Discard remants in a compost bin or trash. If any liquid remains you can use in a bath, or a hand or foot soak to keep the spell with you all day!
I hope you have a relaxing, cleansing morning as well! Happy (witch) crafting!

16.3.2021 - Lazy witches + Ostara activities
I have not practiced my craft in a long time. It almost feels as though I have almost forgotten how I used to. Which is why I chose to reconnect with my magic by going for a long walk tomorrow, no distractions, just focussing.
Also I will spam my blog a bit with some posts about some witchy topics, especially about sabbaths and esbaths (Ostara’s coming up and I can’t wait!)
On that note, here are some things you can do (even in these times) to welcome the sun and life returning once more into the world.
Ostara is a pagan holiday dedicated to the germanic spring goddess “Ostara” (originally called Eostræ). Deities connected to this holiday are Freya or Osiris (Wiccan tradition).
The themes of this holiday, as you might have guessed, is renewal, growth, rebirth and new beginnings. There is a tradition in the neo-germanic paganism movement of Asatrú, which is a modern reinterpretation of the old nordic belief, where a fire is lit before sun sets, and it burns through the night to welcome the first long day of the coming summer. This night is often passed with celebrating with a small group of friends and/or family.
But as I like to have a collection of small, but meaningful activities and traditions, here is my list of things you can do for this year’s Ostara:
put order in your surroundings (and yes, that means do a spring-clean)
also cleanse on an energetic level; sage your space, open and clean the windows, let air and light stream into your space and yourself. Maybe grab a pan and a cooking-spoon to clank evil sprits the fuck outta your house!🥣
deal with overdue business, such that you have been pushing and postponing for some time. Get it done, you will feel so much better!💜
do candle-magic, maybe add some flowers into your spellwork
take care of your flowers and plants in your surroundings. They too are life that fills your space, by caring for them, your care for yourself.
bake or cook something that really excites you when you think about cooking it. Maybe prepare the food intentionally and practice some kitchen magic ( note: eggs and avocados are associated with birth and fertility )
toss crushed or grinded eggshells into the garden, your plants will love it as egg shells are a fantastic fertilizers
plant seeds for some herbs, you will harvest from them over the long run ( also it’s pretty damn awesome to watch things grow ☺️🌱 )
meditate
reflect on your aims for the future and on what you have achieved in the last year/month/semester. Be kind to yourself and praise your accomplishments
reconnect with nature. take a walk, leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but memories and what falls into your way.
fuck. celebrate your sexuality in your way, pleasure yourself, some other or others, but celebrate life and the way to create it. But, of course, only if you feel comfortable with it🔮
Light candles in your home, or light a fire ( but keep it safe! ) to attract light and life into your space.
🐣 Ostara Ideas and Correspondences 🐣
Hello, Dear Ones!
In the Northern Hemisphere, the start of Spring is right around the corner.
The feast of Ostara is celebrated on or around March 21, or when the Sun enters Aries.
This year, it falls on Saturday, March 20. The Sun also enters the sign of the Ram that same day!
With the days getting longer, this Sabbat is a time of celebrating new growth and rebirth. Here’s some ways to harness that energy:
🌸 Take a walk in nature to witness the Earth waking up all around you.
🌼 Plant some herbs.*
🌸 Paint eggs to symbolize renewal and the beginning of life.
🌼 Surround yourself with seasonal colors and flowers — think pastels and vibrant yellows!
🌸 Clean and organize your home.
🌼 Make a birdhouse or a bird feeder.
* As always, make sure any herbs, plants, and cleaning agents you use are safe for those with sensitivities, small children and animal friends. For our feathered friends, research what the birds in your area eat before filling your feeder.
Another word of caution: While it may be tempting to give an adorable kit or chick as a gift; both rabbits and chickens are animals that require an extensive amount of care.
A couple of alternatives to the genuine article: paint or draw a picture of these creatures or gift a stuffed animal version.

Quick Things to do to celebrate Ostara
So we are still in lockdown and there’s not much gathering happening but here are some things you can do to bring in the Spring!
1. Burning down Barriers Spring Equinox coincides with the rebirth of the zodiac cycle. (In the Northern Hemisphere). Aries season is about new beginnings but also our courage to commit to them and face any challenges in our way. This is a good time to reflect on any challenges and how you can overcome them. When you have a good idea, you can write them down and burn it over a fire-safe plate putting energy towards the universe and your will finding a way to clear these paths for you.
2. Divining, Strategizing and Advice Ask tarot (or any favorite types of divining) for advice on these obstacles and how to overcome them. You can pull a card for the nature of the obstacle, another for unforeseen details you should be aware of and one for general advice.
3. Visit a Park! We are having incredible Spring weather over here so it would be great to take advantage and go to a park. Maybe have a small picnic there and admire the daffodils and budding trees. Leave offerings of energetic blessings and moon water to plants and the earth. Seek out a birch tree that would like to help you with your courage and your wishes. Offer them water. (Birch trees have very fiery excitable energy and are helpful in the areas of courage and vitality.)
4. Seasonal Flowers While you are out, get yourself a small set of flowers! I got a pack for only £2.50 at sainsburys. You can get them partly budded so over time they will bloom in your room. Tulips are ideal for this sabbat.
5. Make egg spell candles If you are using eggs in your breakfast or for your feast make sure to save the shells. Try to crack it towards the top and not the middle. You can save most of the shell this way. After you empty the yolks you can wash the shell and dye them using white vinegar and food coloring. You can even color them with paint. For the inside you can take tea light candles, empty the wax, melt it and fill the hollowed shell. You can place the wick in the middle before it cools. The Egg candle can represent new opportunities and blessings coming your way for the new season.
6. Clear and redecorate your Space and Altar Do a quick clean of your space. Vaccuum the floor, wipe your altar down, open windows and decorate your altar with the bouquet and egg candles. Place symbolism that helps you to have courage and overcome obstacles or inspire new beginnings.
Listening to music always helps to set the mood of the day. Here is a playlist for this sabbat!
8. Make a feast So for my feast for 1 it’s just a festive dish with a side of veggies and a nice dessert. Ostara’s festive dishes that’s easy to make/find for 1 can either be a mini quiche with spring vegetables (I like M&S brand if I don’t feel like cooking) or seasoned lemon honey baked chicken thighs. The veggie side would be green beans or a butter lettuce salad with a light vinaigrette. The dessert would be custard with icecream. (Or sometimes rice pudding).
Also if it is accessible/local to you and you can forage it safely, this is the time of the year to make a cleavers infusion! It’s a great body cleanser for the Spring time!
Have a blessed Ostara everyone! Hope we can break out of this repressive time and finally have things moving forward again.
