Art Fight of curbs by CherishLoveArt. Rigged and animated from scratch! Curbs are fantasy thylacines that pop up in @alhilton's wonderful novel Hunters Unlucky. With permission, I entered my own version of the curbs in Art Fight this year. Absolutely blown away by the wonderful art I received!

Someone special arrived today... "Pathfinder" the Thylacine by Charlie Bears. Pre ordered for a year or so!

She has... A SURPRISE POUCH. I didn't expect this detail, it's not big enough for her to be a hand puppet but it's spacious enough to hide secrets inside. It does look slightly obscene (thylobscene), but a brave and bold choice from the designer Isabelle Lee, I admire her dedication to accuracy.

One thing of note with this plush is that the nose is very "compressed".

Being a plush meddler, I made the choice to free her snoot from the tyranny of thread sculpting with the intent of re-sculpting her head myself.

However after fishing out all these threads from below her chin I'm actually happy with her new deeper snoot and it didn't seem to affect anything else, so I didn't need to do any more sculpting after all.

Her eyes also were a little marked with ink from where they applied her eyeliner, I ended up cleaning her eyes with alcohol and blending the markings a bit more in the process.

I need to come up with a name for her, I feel like she might be a Gingersnap.

A funny little beanie thylacine by Tasile. Found in an Australian charity shop and sent to me in August 2024. He usually keeps a hold of these two wonderfully tacky boomerang keychains.

I wanted to have Salt and Pepper thylas in my own collection but didn't really want to keep two more beanies, so why not mash the designs together into one...

This one's just for me but I'll do some similar ones for the shop at some point!

It was a long, long time ago, and my agent suggested auditioning for a video an upcoming band. It was happening literally five minutes from where I was, so I thought why not? We shot the video over 24 hours. From Trafalgar Square, covered in pigeons, to rolling down Primrose Hill with Damon Albarn. I walk on Primrose Hill quite a lot and think about that day. We shot that scene so many times that the two of us were so sick from rolling down the hill we couldn’t eat our lunch.
