The girlie!! Took over a month of suffering (she came broken, the return label wasn't working, etc.) but I finally got a new Miku, and she's soooo cute! I love my Nendoroids, and so I was really excited to get my first Nendoroid Doll!

Cole Fact of the Day:
I LOVED Lego Ninjago as a little kid, before The Lego Movie came out, so I want to say it was around 2012? I was I believe around seven, so yeah, let's say 2012. Anyways, for as much as I adored that show, I couldn't tell you for the life of me what the plot was, or anything about the characters WHATSOEVER.
The only thing I remember at all for some reason is that one of the main characters finds out he's a robot and has an existential crisis. I kid you not, that's ALL I remember. I didn't even remember one of the characters had the same name as me, and that's something I'd usually remember.
So imagine how shocked I was when I was browsing the Lego isle at my local Walmart, and saw that Ninjago was still running. I'd assumed Lego Friends would still be kicking, but seeing Ninjago, I was just taken back to being a kid and playing Legos while watching Ninjago. The memories...
Anyways, if anyone knows where to watch the show from the beginning, hit ya boy up, I'm curious now, lol.
TAKE HIM TO THE MELTING CHAMBER!
I had this set as a kid, and am very happy to have it again! Admittedly, I don't recall much about the set itself. I definitely enjoy the actual building of the sets more now as an adult.
As a kid, I rarely followed the instructions, and just dumped all the pieces into my big Lego bin to be built into giant, colorful, brick-shaped houses.
However, I do vividly remember the minifigures! The robot's face scared me as a kid, and so he got buried in the bottom of the bin. Wyldstyle's actually the biggest reason I was like, "Oh my god, I had that!", since she was my only childhood Wyldstyle, and this is the only set she came in with her hood up.
And here's Emmet, getting the Piece of Resistance melted off his back. Ouch.
Storytime! Kid Cole had SO much beef with how the Piece of Resistance was executed in toy form. He thought the neck bracket/backpack looking thing was the fugliest thing he had ever seen, and honestly, yeah. Plus, as a kid, the Piece was ALWAYS popping off and getting lost, which was really aggravating for a kid. Even today, I am not a big fan of pieces that go between the torso and head. I think I'd like it better if it were orange, like his vest. Was it ever made in orange? Better go check Pick a Brick.
Just for fun, here's the Piece of Resistance attached to Emmet's back via a small folded piece of box tape instead. Double-sided tape would lay flatter against his back, but it's certainly an option if you don't like the neck bracket but also don't want to actually glue it on, haha.
Lastly, Emmet got a new body! His original body had some scuffs from playwear, as well as a smudge on his pants, and the Emmet that came in this set had a perfect, tight, unscathed body.
I also just got this Wyldstyle in today from Wyldstyle in from Bricklink, and she's practically perfect! Nice and tight, aside from her skirt, but that isn't from use or anything, the original skirt design just isn't the greatest. It has standard studs to connect to her torso, rather than tubes like on standard minifigure legs. But that's a design flaw, and not an actual issue. Her skirt stays on decently!
Along with her, I'd also ordered another Emmet from the same seller, in hopes of using it for "The" Emmet, but unfortunately, he is LOOOOOOSE. He technically stays together, but he's much looser than I'd like for my minifigs, so he got tossed in The Communal Lego Bin™️, never to be seen again, except for in my younger siblings' Lego games.
As for the Emmet that came with the set, he's pretty much gonna be staying in the melting chamber for all eternity, so he very kindly traded, and most definitely wasn't not given a choice in the matter. Nobody's gonna see the front of his outfit while he's stuck in that chair, after all.
Overall, I'm very happy with this set! For roughly $27 USD after tax and shipping, I definitely think that my enjoyment of it was worth it. The box was incredibly beat-up, which I was aware of before purchasing, but the set itself was unopened and undamaged! I definitely want to get the other set I had as a kid, and the two that gave caught my eye now, haha.

My ever-growing collection of my three favorite characters from The Lego Movie! Kid Cole would be so proud. The funniest part is that I didn't even start off with the thought process of "I want to have a million of each!!" They just kinda... accumulate. Plus, it doesn't help that Emmet and Wyldstyle, being the main characters, are/were in nearly every set, haha, and I still have a bunch of sets I want!
Gay people? On MY timeline? It's more likely than you think.
Got these two sets in the mail today! Introducing Queen Watevra Wa'nabi and Rex's Plantimal Ambush. Both were new in box and decently cheap, imo. The Queen Watevra set was $13, including shipping, and Rex was $2!! (More like $7, after shipping, but still, omg)
Queen Watevra also comes with extra pieces and instructions to have her in her regular form. I kind of want to order some extra pieces so I can display her in both forms, haha.
Bonus: Matilde was in the corner of one of my photos looking traumatized lol
SHE'S SO FREAKING COOL OMGGGGG
How odd... a Rex just jumped into my eBay shopping cart and pressed purchase all on his own...
Watched The Lego Movie 2, and tbh wasn't expecting the twist, though in hindsight, I probably should've seen it coming, considering they're voiced by the same person.
Not me genuinely thinking Rex was into Emmet and was just jealous of Wyldstyle-
Did Lego stop selling the minifigure ice tray?? I wanted it SO bad as a kid and was kinda hoping to get it now as an adult lmao
Is she homophobic why is she calling the cops over gay people-
Bought a Lego Friends set after a rough day at work!
Emmet had asked me if I could get him some more friends recently, as he's been feeling a bit... outnumbered.
It was a lot of fun to build! I'll admit, I mainly bought it for Matilde. Her cherry shirt is so cute! I ended up loving the set too, which is fun.
Emmet and Matilde hit it off quickly, and are great friends already!
A surprising, but welcome surprise is that the headpieces on minifigures and minidolls are interchangeable!
Stuff like hoods and helmets fit too, but do cut off a bit low, due to their longer faces. As for the body, I find the legs not moving separately doesn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it would? It would've been nice if they could, especially for stop-motions, but it doesn't hinder my ability to enjoy the figure.
Overall, this set was a great introduction to Lego Friends for me! I'd always wanted to handle one of the minidolls, but lost interest in Lego as a kid before I ended up getting any, so it was kind of a must-have as a returning Lego fan! I totally want to get some more. Maybe an old Olivia, I think her name was? I remember liking her the best when Lego Friends first came out.
My descent into Lego Hell™️ has been going well, thanks for asking. In the span of a month, I've bought like 14 minifigs, a few games, and a Lego Dimensions fun pack.
WOAH SHE'S COOL
I love her hair!! omg, I would've loved her as a kid. Good thing I'm now an adult with money >:)
I haven't been into The Lego Movie in like ten years what's a dangervest
