Maybe there was no one way to define it. Maybe there were as many shades of love as the blues of the sky.

Ope, I’m back
Sometimes I think about who I used to be, ready to crumble with the weight of the wind, preparing to grin and bear it while being mauled by life itself, placing my hands into the shape of an unwanted and wild fist. I think of her as a shell, cracked and bruised, so delicate despite trying so hard to put on armor heavier than the weight of the sins I felt like I was wearing.
I started this blog originally to post my writing, to show the world that although it was a tragic shit-show, I was going to come out on top. A lot of you followed this blog when I was young and in high school, yearning for being hurt and wounded. To hell if I had fur, at least my teeth were sharp. So what if I could smile at the world for giving me another day.
Today, I’m sitting in a Panera Bread, looking through who I used to be, who I tried so hard to avoid. As I sit in a booth that is a little too uncomfortable to sit for more than twenty minutes, I am watching the child next to be throw a tantrum about not getting his cookie before his meal, and I am smiling. I am listening to the couple across from me mention their first date even though it happened years ago. I am sitting in a swarm of life and happiness and sadness, and I am everywhere I thought I wouldn’t be.
So, as a life update for those who would even remember my blog or me: I recently graduated (with a chemical engineering degree), I adopted a dog with my significant other, I’m now a RESIDENT of Oklahoma, and I am happy. And, I plan on writing more.
If you have been brutally broken, but still have the courage to be gentle to others then you deserve a love deeper than the ocean itself.

Ask yourself this question: if you weren’t anxious, what would you? And then don’t wait. Don’t even think. Just go do it.
