The absolute loveliest of days. Walked from the hotel to the Globe Theater where Hillsong London calls home on Sunday's. Post service I went with a large group of twenty-somethings and hangout for a couple hours. Then met up with E and her childhood nanny to tour the ol' neighborhood for a bit.
Lunch at Sticky Fingers (owned by Bil Hyman of the Rolling Stones) was uh-mazing.

Spent the earlier part of the day in the hotel. Twas nice to take a vacation from my vacation.
Headed to brick lane for Indian food. Then to a weekly happy hour-esque event at the London office of E's company.
Grateful for the alone time.

Arrived in London. Missed our first train, but were able to get on the following, relatively empty, train. Visited the Tates and walked a bit. Love that all the museums are free in this city. Jumped into the cutest little flower shop and chatted with the owner for a bit. Strolled around and had dinner at a pub. Finished the night at The Shaftesbury celebrating Elisabeth's 25th birthday.
So fun celebrating a friend's Golden Birthday in their place of birth!

Last day in Paris! Met Nneka and her co worker, Joanna at a cafe near Galeries Lafayette and then we split ways. Brombs and I headed to the champs-élysées, again. Picked up a Mother's Day present for mi madre. Getting the VAT tax back will be FANTASTIC.
Excited to head to an English speaking place soon!

Louvre and Luxembourg Gardens were on the agenda, today. We didn't actually go inside the Louvre, mind you--been there thrice before, no need to go back during this particular jaunt. Walked from The Louvre to Notre Dame and passed by Pont des Arts with it's array of "Love Padlocks". Headed to The Sarbonne campus for a bite and drink to end the day.
Enjoyed relaxing with friends and leisurely enjoying our time in Paris.
Day 72/293
W is for Window --- Walked around A LOT. Saint-Germain-des-Pres---> Walked along The Seine---> Cafe Maggot---> Museum d'orsay---->American Church in Paris. Ended the night at our friend Valerie's cousin, Ania's, place (such convoluted grammar!) for wine and chatting.
Loved getting lost in such a beautiful city!
Day 71/294
--- Woke up and grabbed a croissant at one of the many nearby patisserie (this became our morning tradition). Headed to the Champs-Élyséess and shopped at Chanel, Louboutin and such. Had a traditional french lunch of Croque-Monsieurs and overpriced french fries in the heart of the area. Headed to the Marais and fell in love with the place--amazing cobble stoned streets and vintage shops We ended the night at a random bar in the Bastille area with Nneka.
Loved seeing NYC friends in Paris!
Day 70/295
Aaaand I'm back. Sorry for the long hiatus. Life was moving ridiculously fast upon my return to The States. Lot's of planes and timezone switcheroos--my poor little blog here took a hit. Fear not, however, I still snapped a picture everyday for you all :)
--- After a two hour delay at JFK, Stephen, Elisabeth and I arrived at Charles de Gaulle We met Marina, the young woman whose apartment we were renting through AirBnB.com at Montparrnasse after taking an hour bus ride. Our apartment on Rue Saint Lambert off the 12 line (Convention stop) was adorable! Explored the 15 th district & Made dinner at our home away from home on the dirt day.
Grateful: safe trip and an amazing apartment.
Day 70/295 thru Day 80/285
Hello my lovely readers,
I will be in Paris and London for ten days. Though times are not archaic and I'll have more-or-less steady wifi; posting will be on hiatus till I'm back!
I promise to take fab pictures. Can't wait to share my adventures with you.
Grateful for you. (:
