The thing that would hurt the Pillars the most and possibly make them stop downplaying theit actions is that Lucifer ignoring them and being cold. Not being affectionate, not even being nervous. Cold, emotionless, "proper". No matter what they say or do (Unless they attempt to hurt Charlie. Then it is rampage time)

yeah, that'll do a lot of damage. anger, they'll expect. fear may give them a gut punch. affection will make their hopes soar sky high.

but cold formal decorum will catch them off guard and break their heart.

Which archangel is Adam most eager to see ? He’s like , “notice me senpai!”

Either Gabriel or Raguel.

He admires how aloof gabriel is. the guy exudes authority with just a look. He could never pull that off.

He idolizes Raguel's hardassery. A particular interaction involving Lucifer in Eden served as a core memory for him.

“You should've seen it, Vags!" Adam exclaimed after a large slurp of his drink. "My man Raguel just beat the crap out of that clown for hanging around Lilith." He laughed as he mimed Raguel's actions in the garden. "It was so cool! He showed that bastard who's boss! He taught me what a real man should do when his bitches step out of line!"
