phoenix wright is a great character because he is completely fucking batshit insane but he also interacts exclusively with other insane people which has enabled him to be not at all self aware. so occasionally he’ll be interacting with a character who is pretty clearly significantly more well-adjusted than he is but that’s such a low bar and he has so little reference for what is normal that his internal monologue will still be like “wow this place is a freakshow i don’t respect literally any of you people”
