Inktober Mystery 9: The Bell Witch

John Bell and his family settled in Tennessee in 1804, and grew to be fairly prosperous. But all that changed when the family started to experience strange occurrences. One day, John Bell was walking in his cornfield when he encountered a strange animal with the head of a rabbit and the body of a dog. He attempted to shot the animal but it vanished into the night. 

As time went on, the family experiences more strange occurrences such as mysterious knocking at the door and whispering voices. After haunting the Bell family relentlessly, John Bell passed away and the malevolent entity disappeared as well, but only after promising to visit John Bell’s direct descendant 107 years later.
