And what if, Slider and Goose are exes and they see each other again at TopGun, so while Ice is either hating on or trying to makeout with Maverick, Goose and Slider are giving each other death stares.
And so one day, Maverick askes Goose, “why do you and Ron glare at each other?” Goose explains to Maverick that they used to date. And Maverick is all shocked like “YOU DATED!?” And Slider and Ice walk in (let’s say they’re in the locker room and it’s now just them four in there), and Slider goes; “Bradshaw!” In a smirky way and Goose responds with “Kerner.” In a snarky way.
So later, in TG:M, on one special day where Maverick is teaching and everyone is filing in the room to their seats, Rooster and Hangman bump into each other, Hangman grins and Rooster frowns.
“Bradshaw!” Hangman’s grin widens.
“Seresin.” Rooster nearly sighs.
And that’s how Maverick finds out a few things.
1. Hangman is obviously Sliders son.
3. These two act exactly like their parents.
4. They aren’t officially like their parents, because this time, they’re getting back together. And they’re made for each other.
Maverick nearly groans, but, as long as it’s Seresin, he doesn’t think he’ll give Bradley to anyone else. Because Goose and Slider were to blinded by rage to get back together. These two, on the other hand, aren’t. Competitive? Yes. But they’re more like Ice and him (Maverick) than their own parents (even though the whole exes thing is exactly their parents). So Maverick promises himself, that he’ll help those two get back together. Because they are so obviously in love.
Long story short, Bradley and Jake have been given the chance to get back together again, unlike their parents Nick and Ron (Goose and Slider).
