Getting time off together can sometimes be a challenge, so when the stars do align in their favour, Jack likes to go and pick Robby up after his shift, so they don't waste a moment of it.

Sunday nights continue to be the absolute worst. So I'm, once again, sharing said agony with these two dorks.

So, every now and then, when I get really deep into a fandom, the animation bug comes a-nipping, and it would appear that The Pitt(/Rabbot specifically) meets the required criteria 😅

So here's a quick, very very rough clip of the little animation I've been working on for these two.

For anybody who's curious - the rough stage of the Rabbot animation is done (sitting at 28 sec at the moment 😫) and it's finally time to move on to clean up!

It's been fun getting back into animation but, as it always seems to, it's really highlighting how patience is an area in my life that I seriously need to work on.

Got whacked over the head with a Pacific Rim Rabbot AU and had to do something for it.

This would be the second partnership for both Robby and Jack.

Robby's first co-pilot was his mentor and father-figure, veteran Ranger Monty Adamson, who'd been piloting Jaegers from the Mark 1 days. Unfortunately, like many Mark 1 pilots, exposure to the nuclear reactors of the early Jaegers left him with a cancer that very quickly became terminal after diagnosis.

Jack, on the other hand, piloted with the ranger who would eventually become his wife until, during particularly savage battle with a Kaiju off the coast of California, their Jaeger sustained critical damage that ultimately claimed Jack's leg and her life.

After a few years these two found each other and, to their mutual disbelief and dismay, quickly realise that they were both almost certainly drift-compatible and too duty-bound to helping the fight for humanity to ignore that fact, even at the expense of their own mental wellbeing.

The above depicts their first neural handshake, where the potential co-pilots connect for the first time and can see and feel each others minds, memories, and emotions. It's vital, during this process, to both allow your mind to be completely open to your partner, but also to not allow yourself to latch onto any memory in particular, particular heavily emotional ones - or 'chase the rabbit'. It's tricky though, when both pilots have so. many. rabbits.

I've been tossing around some more Rabbot-comic ideas, but in the mean time, wanted to do something a little bit silly.

So here's one of Santos' many group-chat updates, chronicling the (mis-)adventures to, at, and coming home from the medical conference she, Whitaker, Robby, and Jack got roped into attending.

In which Jack has a bit of a rough shift and his emergency contact gets a slightly alarming early-morning call to come in and take him home. 

Inspired by @officialqueer's Jack!whump prompt. I think this may be a bit milder than what you had in mind, but hopefully you like it all the same 😊

I’ve had a serious urge to draw some Abbot angst/whump/hurt-comfort these past few days, but I can’t seem to come up with any ideas (well, I’ve come up with a few, but I can just tell they’re going to turn into a bigger thing 😅).

So opening it up to the floor, is there any particular scenarios you’d like to see illustrated? No promises, but any and all inspired is appreciated.

I was thinking the other day, with S3 being specifically set in winter, surely that will mean Dr 'at least three layers at all times, even in the middle of summer' Robinavitch will have to be rugged up like crazy!!! Right?

But then when I was sketching 'ultra-rugged-up Robby' in his Carhartt puffer jacket and little beanie, all I could think about is how he was looking like a kid bundled up to go outside to play in the snow.

Naturally that observation needed to be shared with Jack.

Decided to work through this week's Sunday-itis with Jack and Robby, presumably at the end of a couple of days off spent together (feat. head nuzzling).

I also had the tremendous pleasure of working with @postoperation creating art for their stunning fic: ‘sick of swallowing stones’

If the sound of some solid magical realism, vivid and fantastical imagery, top-tier Rabbot yearning, and emotional hurt/comfort appeals to you - you should absolutely check this fic out. Follow Robby as he struggles to drag himself through the fallout, when his responsibilities as ED chief and preeminent curse-breaker (+ long-time Abbot yearner) collide over the course of four exhausting days.

As some of you may be aware, THE PITT BIG BANG IS HERE!! 

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Eunoise, creating the art for her hilarious caper: ‘my other doctor is a lawyer’

Bringing together the universes of The Pitt and Leverage (:Redemption) - check out Harry Wilson and the gang as they set out to take down a predatory venture capitalist obsessed with his goal of living forever (at any price), who has just set his sights on acquiring PTMC to further this objective. Robby, meanwhile, has certainly had worse days - but his estranged, no-good little (half-)brother popping up out of nowhere definitely feels like it may be an omen of sorts.

Adding this to the ‘Robby’s healing journey-AU’ (pre-tattoos, because I finished before remembering to add them). Santos and Mel convince Jack and Robby to ‘come scream into the abyss’ with them. Well, they convince Jack. Robby is tricked every step of the way there, then plied with enough alcohol to stay. 

(‘Should I Stay or Should I Go?’ was a very close runner-up for song choice. But ‘I Will Survive’ fit the tone much better (also the fact that the lyrics tie in so neatly with the end of S2 😂)
