He beamed immediately. “A vibe, yes! A good vibe? I hope a good vibe, that’s what I was going for.” Benji lowered his glasses to see her better, with less of a pink tint, stepping out of the doorway to avoid getting hit if someone else burst out the way he had. “Are you going inside? They’re having a sale! Half the store is on clearance! These were not, unfortunately… but the hat was! You should get one of the hats, I’m sure there’s half a shelf left, one of them would look spectacular on you!”

“Yes, a good vibe for sure! Plus the pink is a statement piece.” Iridessa grinned with a soft giggle. “Yeah, actually! I was going to look for some art supplies, some new water colors or something like that. I just like looking at all the new stuff to be honest. Well if I'm going to get a hat you’re going to have to help me pick out a color! See which one you think fits my vibe.”

Vidia didn’t like the pace of life. She was all go, go, go, and right now, there was nothing going on. Absolutely nothing. She needed some excitement. The thought had led her to Dessa’s door, where she greeted her friend with the demand: “Come clubbing with me.” She didn’t give her a second to object. “I’m bored as hell, and before you say no, you don’t have to drink, and I’ll beat anyone that bothers you away with a baseball bat.”

Iridessa always enjoyed the slow pace of life. She always had things planned out or scheduled and especially organized! Spontaneity made her anxious. Of course the one fairy known for that exact type of thing was at her doorstep. Iridessa welcomed her with a warm smile. Vidia might’ve been cold but Iridessa was always a big believer in giving people second chances, even if they didn’t always deserve them. “Oh-gosh clubbing? I dunno’ I mean I don’t know if have anything to wear?” She questioned looking over her shoulder towards her closet. If she was going to go Vidia was going have to help her pick something out. Her closet wasn’t really clubbing couture. “Well, as long as you’re willing to protect me.” She teased in a playful hum.

Benji was not good at not blowing his money. Not that it was much of a problem, he had no bills to pay, no need to worry about losing the roof over his head that Mr. Robin provided. He lived a life of luxury with the cash he did obtain, his luxury being sweets. And outrageous clothing items. Stepping out of the store with a giant pink sun hat on top of his head and shades to match, he asked the opinion of the first person his eyes met. “What do you think? Too much?” He didn’t give them time to respond before shaking his head. “Too much, I knew I should’ve gone with the neon green lenses.”

Prentiss didn’t get too many sunny days, but today the sun came from out behind the clouds and Iridessa took advantage of it. She loved the heat from the rays on her skin, and how it made her unbelievably giddy. Today was going to be a good day, she was going to make sure of it. What could make a good day a better one though? Shopping, of course! Iridessa was about to swing the doors open when someone with an eccentric outfit was already stepping out. Causing her to back up a little as she admired his outfit with a bright smile. “No, no! I think pink suits you. It’s definitely a vibe.”

Had Vidia wanted to see Nightmare On Elm in the park? Yes. Was she going to go alone and look like a loser? No. Was she going to call someone up and sound like a loser for not having anyone else to go with? Absolutely not. She was much more excited over the invite than she let on, replying with a ‘well, I suppose I don’t have anything better to do’ while grinning on the other side of the phone. “It’s not that bad,” Vidia promised, throwing her arm around Dessa’s shoulders. She could never explain the joy she got from messing with her friends. And Iridessa… she couldn’t help herself, the young woman was an easy target. “There’s more to it than that, but you’re not going to see it if you don’t open your eyes, honey.”

Iridessa wasn’t sure why she chose this movie for a friends night out. She would’ve settled for last weeks singing in the rain but it seemed the other girls wanted to see something more scary. So Dessa put on a brave face and convinced herself that she’d get through it. Boy was she wrong. “Sure, if you’re like heartless I guess.” Iridessa joked and then completely froze when Vidia wrapped her around around her. She knew Vidia liked getting under her skin but Dessa was never the wiser. Feeling a lump form in her throat as she tried to respond, feeling her cheeks heat up as she stuttered. “N-No I p-prefer to keep it like this. Thank you. B-Besides I just know I’m going to look at the worst possible time.”

Iridessa took a break from all the murdering and screaming to grab some more popcorn from the concession stand. “Yeah, just one please. With extra butter, and don’t hold out on the butter because I'll notice.” Dessa commented with a firm tone as she reached into her bag for her wallet. That’s when she caught sight of Fawn out of the corner of her eye. “Fawn!” Dessa exclaimed happily, holding out her arms ready for an embrace. “Don’t ask me anything about the movie, I haven’t really been watching. It’s a bit gross to be honest. But it’ll be bearable now that you’re here.” @fawnfloraxo​

Vidia wasn't the first person Iridessa asked to movie night. She had tried Tori's cell first and she wasn't answering. Which was fine, she was probably hanging out with Peter and his band or something. She had invited Fawn but she hadn't shown yet, though she was still hoping. So instead she was stuck with Vidia. Not really stuck perhaps but she knew the raven haired girl wasn't always the easiest to talk to. Dessa was just happy she had someone with her mostly because she was a big scaredy cat when it came to horror movies. Dessa covered her eyes with her hands sinking further into her chair. "Is this all? Just blood, guts, and gore? People like this kind of stuff?" @fastflyinfairy

[ 𝙾𝙿𝙴𝙽 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙴𝚁 ]

She’d only been able to fight them off for so long. The dreams. They were back again. Since she’d arrived at Prentiss her sketching was keeping her imagination contained but it all fell apart the harder she pushed against it. Her parents finally seemed to be doing okay, they weren’t looking at her like she was a problem anymore. Then she woke up to the house flooded, an inside rainstorm clouding her dreams. Before she was even able to apologize her father was upset and her mother thought it was best if she left for a little while as they cleaned. Riley felt the guilt eating at her, running into the only place she felt she couldn’t hurt anyone. The trees felt like a safe haven where it didn’t matter if she was Riley or a threat to everyone around her. It was just her. 

Then she heard footsteps and her head snapped up. The girl looked around, quickly pulling down her sleeves to wipe the tears. “Hello? Who’s out there?” She grabbed hold of a stick for protection, as if it would do anything. Just as the figure came into view she went to strike before stopping suddenly. “Don’t sneak up on people like that!” She said before throwing the ‘weapon’ back down and going to wipe her nose.

The last thing Iridessa wanted to be doing right now was walking alone through the woods in the dead of night. Producing a ball of yellow light to illuminate her way. Though it didn't seem to be helping considering how thick the fog was tonight. She shouldn't have expected any different, yet here she was. Vidia claimed there was a hurt animal crying in the woods and while animals were Fawn's expertise she couldn't turn her back on a hurt being. Though as she walked the dirt path and was only met with silence and the cooing of owls she was beginning to feel as if Vidia led her astray. What a surprise.

Hearing a voice that wasn't her own caused Iridessa to jump out of her skin. "Sneak up on you? I beg to differ." Dessa replied with a sigh of relief, and a small giggle following afterwards. Thanking fae it was only another girl and not some dark dimension eating demon. "Sorry to frighten you though, I was just looking for something. Are you okay?" Dessa asked as her ball of light grew brighter.

Her body was made out of sugar. If she stood in the rain, she would dissolve.
