Yknow when they have to put the orange bags over the traffic lights when they gotta put em temporarily out of order:

Little know fact is that this makes the traffic light think its dark and therefore goes to sleep!

HOWEVER! "SPOOPY TRAFFIC LIGHTS WORK AT NIGHT" i hear you cry!

Fret not! For you see, the bag does not simply simulate the darkness of nighttime, to which the traffic lights are used to oh no!

It actually simulated the never-ending and vast empty darkness of the void! Making the traffic lights believe they have been plunged into an innescaplable dark purgatory, so they simply give up hope and eventually stop thinking and perceiving their surroundings... until they can be safely reactivated once work is complete!

Studies are currently unaware of the long-term impacts on the well-being of the traffic lights using this methord. However, it is currently the only way known to reduce the high levels of stress this non-road work associated breed exhibits around matinence works.
