Inadvertently, his family does push him, and he follows. He leaves his morals beside to follow the family's, even when they don't match his. Every time Bruce asks him in a roundabout way to scarify himself, he does. When Damian asks for a hug, he gives it, and it gets him betrayed.

Jason is a pushover, and his family don't really know it (some of them do), but they sure do benefit from it.

Sansa Stark of course one of the great characters of our times. what if a neurotic twelve year old choir kid got held hostage by her evil middle school boyfriend and then everyone called her dumb for believing that people should be nice. Great premise no notes. Anyhow, one of my favorite things about her is that she is a character who you can put in a cute lil winter outfit and pinch her cheeks and give her lemon cakes and then send her off to experience The Horrors

well i am not black so i can only speak from the perspective of scholarship but i don’t think its a reach to say that a lot of kory is/can be black-coded (and subsequently whitewashed), but then also she is subject to antiblack stereotypes and misogynoir because of it. like yes she’s an alien, but writing off elements of her hypersexualization by the writers as parts of her alien culture is doing the ideological labor of justifying why a bronze skinned curly haired woman was hypersexualized, which isn’t terribly different from things like the jezebel stereotype that argued that this oversexuality (by european and american standards of course) was inherent to a race. notice how she wears more clothes the straighter her hair is! like i really hate the idiotic kory that exists post animated teen titans but noticed how that perceived naive innocent version of kory is so tied with her whitewashing. theyre all connected.

This is low key vagueing, but its not because im trying to be an asshole, I just literally can't find the post again.

We're not "celebrating dubcon." The reason people were so excited about the dickkory kiss is because DC barely allows them to act like friends. This was full acknowledgement that they loved each other at one point (where for the past 30 years there have been several comics which spread the misinformation that Kory was just a stepping stone or that their relationship didn't mean much).

It's not just the kiss. We see them actually behaving as friends. He pours her coffee while she smiles up at him, they seem to hang out together (how they even managed to kiss in the first place - they're sitting just the two of them), they bounce information off of each other (his mentioning that the moon never changes), etc.

Reducing the celebration of their interactions in that issue to "celebrating dubcon" is hurtful because it ignores the reasons we're actually excited. No fans of Kory or Dick like to see them revictimized. We just want acknowledgement that their arcs were written to compliment each other for 14 years
