I just want to give a quick thank you to all my 12 followers and the 2 hentai blogs that follow me for being patient with me!

This month has been rather difficult and stressful and at the end of the day really all I want to do is eat nutella bagels and run over people in Saints Row III.

This blog isn't what I want it to be yet, but things are sorta beginning to slow down so I'm hoping I can really get this blog running by this weekend.

7. Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun

When their village was wiped out five years ago, only Shino Inuzuka, Sosuke Inukawa, and the girl Hamaji, who was raised as if she were their sister, survived. And both men inexplicably have the same peony-shaped birthmark. Genpachi Inukai and Kobungo Inuta were raised hundreds of miles away as foster brothers, but they too share the same birthmark. When they went north as part of the army three years ago, they went to confront demons and came back forever transformed. Now the Imperial Church has come for Shino and Sosuke and they must find eight mystical gems and their owners or face a fate worse than death at the hands of the Church.

Ok so I honestly have no idea what to make of this from the summery. The PV really didn't help either. So there are these four guys who are set apart from everyone else because of their flowery birthmarks and they all kill demons? Oh yeah and the church is somehow involved in this too? I'm always amused to see churches involved in anime and manga and things because sometimes it's just an awkward plot device. Is that what everybody else is getting? Are well all on the same page? Ok.

Two things caught my attention in the PV, the animation and the voice acting. The animation looks beautiful. After watching the PV again, I guess there's nothing really that special about it. There's something about it that just grabs me. It could be that this style works for its genre. It looks like it's going to be action-y and it looks like it's going to be awesome. The voice acting surprised me too. I liked hearing the characters talk for once the girl doesn't have an obnoxious baby voice. I'm not usually one to even comment on the voice acting but I am impressed with the line up for this show. Perhaps I should actually look them up.

I am always looking for an action anime to add to my favorites, seeing as there's mostly just slice of life teen drama/romance stuff in there and FMA but that's not the point. I'm hoping that Hakkenden will be able to live up to my expectations and that I will not drop it after watching it for only 15 minutes.

6. Amnesia

This story takes place in a fictional town, in a fictional country, in a fictional world. One morning, a young lady awakens to find that she has lost all her memories prior to that morning. Her life, her relationships, her very name—all gone. All that's left is a cell phone with numbers and names she doesn't recognize and Orion, a young boy that only she appears to be able to see. With Orion's guidance, she struggles to make sense of herself, a boyfriend she doesn't know and the thousand and one little things that make up a daily life. But with no memories left, the only alternative is to forge new ones, even if that means leaving old loves behind.

AHA AHAHA. UM. WHY would I NOT want to watch this?! For starters you have no idea how excited I was to find out that this was going to be an anime two weeks after I learned of the existence of this otome game.I think I was looking up Diabolik Lovers stuff at the time but that's not important.

Thanks to this lovely website I was able to get a taste of what the otome game was like... but with no English translation of the game in sight I became sad. UNTIL I HEARD ABOUT THE ANIME. I am a sucker for romance and so a story about a girl who can't remember anything about her life but has like all these men around her and she can't remember which she was in love with pulls on my heartstrings.

Actually... it sounds kinda weird when I type it out... Whatevs.

I'm guessing the show will work as a reversed harem? I love the characters, I love the story and that's honestly all I have to say about this show. It looks like it's going to translate well from a game into an anime and I'm excited. Toma is my baby. I love Toma. He is yellow.

5. Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?

Izayoi Sakamaki, Asuka Kudou, and You Kasugabe have tremendous psychic powers and are bored with the regular world. An envelope arrives for each person, and when each opens their envelope, they are stunned to see the scenery around them change to a world they had never encountered before. They've been summoned by the Black Rabbit to help the community "No Name" to overthrow the Devil King.

I'm on the fence about this one. The premise sounds interesting enough and I really don't watch that many action-y-ish anime. After watching the PV, I'm still on the fence.

I like the look. It looks cool. Most of the time I don't like the wardrobe choice for anime characters because they look just down right crazy and uncomfortable. This time though I like how each outfit matches the personality of each character (at least from the assumptions I have made about their personalities) pretty spot on.

I don't like that the girls are animalish. In case you couldn't tell there's a rabbit girl, a birdish girl and a catish girl. The birdish girl and the catish girl are only ish because as far as I can tell, they don't have their animal's physical characteristics but it does seem like they have some of their behaviors.

Anyways, I'm not fond of things like cat girls and bunny girls and things like that because they are far too played out and are usually limited to girls. If the only male character also has some animalish quality to him as well (which I can't tell from the PV alone), I'll be more accepting of this aspect of the show. Go catish girl.

Shows I’m Interested in for 2013 Winter Season

4. Mangirl!

“We’re going to launch a manga magazine!” A team of girls with zero experience in manga editing are off and running toward their dream of creating the biggest manga magazine in Japan! They seem to do nothing but run into problems and failures… But still they’re working hard every day!

Right off the bat let’s set something straight. The title of this series is NOT Man-girl but instead a portmanteau of manga and girl.

Ok now that that’s in order, why would I not want to watch this? It sounds hilarious. A group of ladies who want to make a successful manga magazine without having any knowledge/experience in this business at all. Shenanigans are sure to ensue. Hilarious shenanigans.

What’s disappointing about this though is that each episode is only going to be about 5 minutes long and their will only be 13 episodes. At least it won’t be hard keeping up with.

Regardless of its short duration, this series looks entertaining enough for me to take a strong interest in it.

3. Vividred Operation

An original sci-fi action anime featuring a 14-year-old girl. The story takes place in a peaceful island filled with nature and technology.

Well. Alrighty then.

When I saw the first poster/image thing for this show my initial thought was, "Cool, Mecha Madoka!" But then after watching the PV, it seems more like a Mecha Girls und Panzer which I thought was just awkward to watch what with all the butt shots and overly cute characters.

This could potentially be an anime that I will follow religiously. My only hope is that it won't turn into a Girls und Panzer. I'm not sure what it was about that show but it just made me uncomfortable. It might have been how weird 6 2d girls looked in one giant CG tank or how for some reason the sub group felt the need to add random German phrases into the subtitles... Whatever it was I didn't like it.

There's still a lot I don't know about this series so I honestly have no idea what to expect... you know except for butt shots and cute little girls. But so far I like yellow girl.

2. Sasami-san@Ganbaranai

The story follows a hikikomori named Sasami who is unmotivated about even changing clothes or eating. Her brother takes care of her, even though she despises his slave-like nature. Sasami spends her days viewing the outside world via a "Brother Surveillance Tool" on her computer. In the outside world, the three beautiful Yagami sisters and Sasami's brother are in the middle of relationships worthy of a romantic comedy.

I honestly have no idea what to say about this.

The plot is what initially hooked me in. It's a new twist on a classic anime scenario. But after watching the PV, I was left a little disappointed.

The style of animation is what really got me. There's a sort of fade to it that I haven't seen in a while. I can appreciate the softness of the colors and what not, but I honestly don't like this style at all. I LOVE clean and crisp lines and colors, so this style turns me off to this show. The voice acting is not impressing me at all either. It's just plain annoying.

Also the brother really bugs me and I this show hasn't even come out yet. If your sister hates that you take care of her. Stop taking care of her. Dur. Plus you can't see his face ever and I hate when they do that in shows Miss Bellum from Powerpuff Girls is exempt from this hate.

Of course I'll give it a shot still, but this show has a lot of strikes against it.
